There will be a wrestling tournament at Harpeth High School on Saturday, June 14, 2014. This tournament will be folkstyle. There will be three periods: 2-1-1. Divisions: Middle School High School Open Division There will be more information coming.

There will be one 3 minute period. Rules same as high school except: The wrestler who scores takedown will have 10 to 15 seconds to turn opponent. If they do not, both wrestlers return to neutral position. If wrestlers wrestle out of bounds, they return to neutral position no matter the position they were in when they went out. There will be a 10 point tech fall, and sudden death overtime if there is a tie score.

Correction: Harpeth defeated Sycamore 34-21 Harpeth defeated Fairview 33-30 Harpeth lost to Greenbrier 48-27 There was a three way tie in Pool B between Harpeth, Greenbrier, and Fairview. Greenbrier won on criteria. Good tournament! We got plenty of mat time.

The Harpeth Invitational Wrestling Tournament will be rescheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2013. This tournament will be an individual 16 man double elimination tournament. Coaches and Wrestlers, I regret to inform you that the tournament at Harpeth has been canceled for December 7th. Our county has shut down all extra curricular activities today and closed all schools. With the uncertainty of the weather tonight and early morning temperatures, they will not take the risk of opening the school. I do apologize and hope to find a weekend to reschedule.
