  1. You also have to keep in mind that Chattanooga Christian lost 5 players off of last years team. They only have 2 returning starters because 2 graduated and one is out with a knee injury for the whole season. There were also 2 girls who didn't return to the team this year. Good job if Soddy Daisy is playing well, but I don't think that by saying they beat Chattanooga Christian means too much.

  2. Well, I don't have a reccomendation to make about who the best first baseman is, but I do have somewhat of an input for this post. I played first base for four years when I was in High School, and let me tell you, it is NOT an easy job. I'm not posting this so that I will get credit or whatever, I'm simply posting this to tell people to try to focus on encouraging their first basemen. Many time's they make catches that may seem so easy to some people, but really they're hard to deal with. First basemen get teams out of a lot of trouble with picks and so on. Anyway, this all just goes to say, encourage your firstbaseman. They usually don't get the credit they deserve and it is SO hard to play softball and have fun when no one EVER tells you good job. That's all :(

  3. I agree...Jennifer Reed is not the crap that people, like mammy, think she is. And the LAST thing she is is a super person!! Every single time I've either played against her or seen her play she has ALWAYS faked an injury or something. Either that, or she's just really really weak! Anyone who falls on the dirt that often needs help. Mammy maybe you should give her some advice on that since you seem to know everything :D:D

  4. Hey theladymoc3, I hope that you do well this coming season and are able to play the position you want. I am in practically total agreement with everything you say and wish you guys the best of luck. Jennifer did play catcher for at least 1 year in High School, but not recently, due to an injury. Anyways, I don't see what the big deal is about her... theladymoc3 is correct. Everyone on the softball team was the best at their High School or else they wouldn't be at UTC to play softball.

Oh- and theladymoc3- I go to UTC, so I look forward to coming to some of the games and hopefully see you play, even though I don't know who you are :x

  5. Dang guys, sure Jennifer Reed is good and everything, but it's not like she's the best thing that's ever happened to softball! Can we get over her and focus on the TEAM, which is what is needed to win games in sports such as softball. And another thing- players DO have to earn their spots. Nothing is guaranteed. Trust me from experience. A coach may say he's giving you the definite starting spot but that could be taken away right away. The coach is there to make the team win, and if the team isn't winning then he loses his job. He's GOING to put the person that does better in practice in that position. Let's just stop all this fighting junk. :D

  6. Coach T, Jennifer Reed went to High School at Lookout Valley, in Chattanooga. She is probably about 5'8 or so.. maybe taller maybe not. I'm not too sure. She played short stop for Lookout Valley. She used to be their catcher, but after pulling a muscle, I think, she moved out to the infield. She started playing short stop. I believe that she probably could play third, and probably any other position you put her at. I've played against her, and as much as I may hate to say it , she's good...real good
