  1. dont know where to start...the refs were fine...they called a great game...got TECH for all our holds just like every other crew...but most of those were negated by several personal fouls from maplewood...liberty came out just like they did against north side and chester county on offense...weak...horrid blocking up front and dropped passes in the endzone...the defense made 3 mistakes all night...2 leading to TDs and 1 that should have been an INT but fell from the chest to the ground...weak...

maplewood defense was ok...pretty good at stopping the run but had no chance of stopping a passing game...if u can throw u own the game...for whatever reason we got away from it...mistakes on offense cost liberty the season...WRs running the wrong routes and dropping TDs, 1st downs and giving up an INT in the endzone...all horrible WR play...

as for the amazing running back...didnt see him...dont know if he came to the game or not...he had 2 nice kick returns...thats about all i saw...dont know if he had 100 yards...dont know if he ever scored...they did have 1 TD on the ground but i think it was the QB...liberty had more trouble with the big full back than the speedy RB...

when u play these guys watch ur helmets...never seen so many straps get ripped off during a game...theyre a nice time...i hope that wasnt the best they can bring to the field tho...liberty didnt show up on offense til the 4th quarter and the pick 6 with just under 2 minutes to go destroyed any shot of pulling out the win...if this was the best team maplewood can put on the field i dont expect them to advance again...ive seen 3 or 4 teams from 4A in our area that could take them down...they are 1 dimensional at best...surely this wasnt the same team that gave greeneville a run last year...

He was at the game. He wore number 20. He was the first to congratulate the quarterback on his touchdown. He was the first to congratulate the receiver on his touchdown. He was the first to run on the field and congratulate the defensive back on his touchdown. He was the individual that spoke to the team after the game. He started off by stating that if teams think that the way to beat us is to shut me down, they got another thing coming. He thanked the offensive line for going hard on every play. Those are the characteristics that makes this kid amazing. Stats on the field just makes him a great highschool football player. What the kid has on the inside makes him amazing. If this is not enough information for you to figure out who the amazing running back was, I got one more piece of information for you. He is about 5 feet 6 inches and a hundred and 160 pounds. He was that small kid that lowered his shoulder and ran the kid over on the last kick off. The kid after getting ran over didn't know if he was in Nashville,Jackson, or Cookeville. I hope I was able to help you to recall that amazing running back being at the game.

  2. Just heard a comment from an announcer that told the pairings. He predicts Greeneville to beat Lexington in the Ship. I quote I dont see it a close game ha ha.

Go Devils. One game at a time

Looking way ahead. Lexington will have to get past Maplewood. I would really like to see a Greeneville-Maplewood rematch.

  3. Look, barb didn't twist your arm or give you a noogie or the like to make you do anything. It's just funny to me that you said you were forced to do something. And as far as the idiot thing goes, you might want to learn correct punctuation and learn how to use a comma before you call someone an idiot.

And as far as the moron thing goes, where I am from, we don't worry about using commas,,,,,,,but people will put you in a coma for calling them outside of their name.

  4. I wonder what you will be forced to do next? I can't wait to see the Devils use all of barb's cockiness and arrogance on the field Friday night. Sorry rrrrr, you have forced me to call you a moron.

i got your moron idiot. Never called you out of your name idiot, until you called me out of mine idiot. Have i told you that you are just such an idiot. If i haven't idiot, you are an idiot. I am through talking to you idiot. So please be through talking to me idiot.

  5. Oh Gee...I caused you to pick...dang does that mean without me you would have remained neutral. Nobody said this would be a mercy rule game. I expect it to be a tough game with a lot of hard yards.

I don't have a dog in the fight, just was hoping that this would be a good game. It didn't matter to me on who won or lost. Your cockiness and arrogance has forced me to pick a winner, and once again----it is not Greeneville.

  6. Thanks G-man! Took the words right outta my mouth. Would have done him more good to research this Greeneville team. THIS Greeneville team played in the Championship LAST YEAR after coming into the play-offs with 3 losses. Nobody gave us a chance at Red Bank and Keon Williams in the quarters last year either. Greeneville returned 8 starters on defense from last years team and some key players on offense...and of course there's Willy CarMichael....

I did not say who was going to win. I am just reading post and no one other than Boski is giving this team a chance. It will be a good game. Now that because you want to yap off at the mouth Barb, I am going to pick a winner for this Friday, and it is not Greeneville. I gaurantee you that the mercy rule will not come into effect, at least not on the end that you Greeneville fans think it will. No one is picking Maplewood to win the finals, after this week, i really believe that everybody will.

  7. The difference in this game was the adjustments that one of the teams made at halftime. Unfortunately for some, it was not by Tullahoma and their great coaching staff. The PLAYERS and coaches for Maplewood High School made a few minor adjustments, and that was the difference in the game. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I have just a few of questions? 1. Has Monroe run these types of plays all season. If so, these fans that are doing all the complaining about him still picked Maplewood to lose. Some picked them to lose by 20 or more points. 2. Why has there not been a whole lot said on how good Maplewood played. They still have alot of room for improvement.3. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that the game wasn't as close as the scoreboard showed.Maplewood had a touchdown called back, Maplewood fumbled twice on potential scoring drives. One of these unforced, the other one the guy was just fighting for extra yardage and the ball came out. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that Maplewood only completed one pass and still won the game. The kids at Maplewood won because they were well prepared and they played off pure emotions------The controversal call in the game last year(which was the right call I must say, just handled unprofessionally by the officals, because there is no instant replay in High School Football) and the predictions that the owl fans made. I'm going to conclude with saying that your coach didn't lose the game, your quarterback didn't lose the game. YOUR TEAM LOST THE GAME.

  9. Most of us would have been more than happy to root for Maplewood in hopes of seeing someone finally beat Maryville. However the lack of sportsmanship from the majority of your players and coaches last night was appalling. A few players taunted ours throughout the night (as shown by the high number of personal fouls called against them). Some of this can always be expected from players, but should never be seen from the coaching staff. When the two teams were exiting the field before half-time, some of the Maplewood coaches started yelling and cussing at our team. And after the game was won, about four or five of your team came and started dancing on our sidelines, and one player even came over and threw his gloves at our one of our coaches.

Now it's sad that the actions of a few form the opinions on the entire team. Many of your players were real class acts. They helped our players up from the field after each play and came over to congratulate them on a great season. But you should not find it hard to believe that we wouldn't be rooting for your team to win the state championship. After all, who wants a bunch of sore winners representing our great state of Tennessee ?

    On that note, go Maryville

I vowed not to talk about this situation until our run for the state title was over with. I would first like to apologize for the player throwing his gloves at a coach, that was very disrespectful. He wrote an apology letter to the coach and was punished the whole week of practice for this, but this does not excuse what he did. When the two teams exited the field, the Maplewood Coaching Staff stated to one another that one of the HC players wasn't playing as tough as he had played in previous games. When this was said, a player from HC yelled out Don't be talking about my Moth## #uc#### cousin. Some other HC players told this kid that he should not be talking to the other coaches like that and he said I don't give a #uc# about those other coaches. During halftime he must have told the HC player(his cousin supposingly) that the Maplewood Staff said that he was playing soft because the kid that was being discussed walked toward the Maplewood Staff after halftime, pounded his chest and said I was playing soft the first half but I am #uc#i## ready now. If you were there watching the game you noticed this kid pound his chest and say something to the players and coaches on the Maplewood sideline after he made a big run. The Maplewood coaches never cussed @ a HC player, they were doing all the cussing. So lets not sit up here and make Maplewood out to be the villians and HC the angels because both teams had players that were out of line.I think that both teams acted like this because they were playing high on emotions, this was the state semi final game, but it still doesn't excise their actions. Just wanted to clear the air on Maplewood coaches yelling and cussing the HC team.

  10. Sorry boski dude have to go with the Knights here. Home town team and all. Plus the Knights want another shot at the Wildcats. Here you go Coach Mac get it done and we are next. This time you will come to our place and the Refs will be out of town TSSAA officials. GOOD LUCK. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Golfendude you are praying that the Knights win because you want a chance to advance to round 3, but it is not going to happen. Maplewood owes Clarksville for what took place last year and the only way to have a chance of playing Clarksville is to knock off Kenwood. so consider it done.

It will be close but Maplewood will prevail.

  11. Well,he wont do that against ooltewah in a few weeks,if he does, then he'll get my vote(but dont count on it)

Well get ready to give this kid your vote. He is a very patient and elusive runner. I think he will put up big numbers against Ooltewah because of his offensive line. They could be one of the best in the state. They are not the biggest or fastest line, but they know how to get the job done.

  12. I didn't go bekuz Hunters Lane will definitely get me a better scholarship than I'd get at Maplewood. And it helps me stay outta trouble. So on signing day when I got that smile on my face, it won't matter about me not goin 2 maplewood.Kuz i'll be on my way 2 play in college... Man u guys crack me up..
Thats why I went to Hunters Lane also, but when I got over here I realized that the coaches really dont care about the players. I also realized that field play, gpa, and act scores help determine if you get a scholarship or not. With a mature mind you can get a sholarshio from whatever school you go to. Maplewood seems to have a coaching staff that really cares about the kids.
  13. i Feel thats the dumbest thing Ive ever seen... Not usin Cantrell...He doesn't need 2 start both ways but there's no reason he shouldn't be sharing carries with Holt..
The dumbest thing you have ever seen is that look on your face when you ask yourself why you did not go to Maplewood with your brother.
  14. This rivalry dates back to when Whites Creek opened in 1979 and many kids from Maplewood were rezoned to Whites Creek. This will be a big time game no matter what the records are. Whites Creek is in a must win game, if they lose they have to depend on other scenarios to get into the playoffs. If they win they will be the number two seed in 5-4a.

Also on Thursday the two schools will battle for the 9th grade city championship. Maplewood won it last yr. Whites Creek won the regular season game. Maplewood beat Hillsboro's freshmen last week 50-6. Whites Creek beat Antioch 14-6. The game is 5 pm at Maplewood.

Now on to the Varsity, where is BOSKI?? Well I know who you are rooting for. Whites Creek will pull the upset. Maplewood doesn't matchup well against Whites Creek. Unfortunately WHites Creek's D can't stop Maplewood. We will try to out score Maplewood. Final Score WC 36 Maplewood 34.

As athletic as maplewood is, I've noticed that teams with speed give maplewood trouble...........Hunters lane, Hillsboro, and Stratford.........Maplewood is probably the most physical football team in 4a. Very Physical.

We have plenty of it with this yrs Region MVP Jamie Graham. Jamie should also get serious consideration for MR. FOOTBALL! He does everything for WC. Go Cobras!

Cobrafan90 you got your 6 and 0 crossed, the score was 56-0. Maplewood Freshman team repeats as champions and White's Creek varsity is home this post season.
  15. I had no doubt that you would not find a jamboree to be viable competition. I don't know about you but when I took the feild many moons ago I went out there to win. But I forget the great Boski doesn't find a Jamboree important. I have one word.BULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Oh yes please tell Coach Thompson that his actions on the news the other night was noted by the Burro's and has been great motivation for practice.

Mr. English Major, remember i comes before e except after c. Field not Feild.
  16. No offense, but he doesn't run a 4.3 unless it is a generous hand timed event. What does he run electronically? HUGE difference. Your head coach can explain the difference I know. He was pretty quick back in the day.

The University of Tennesse clocked him at a 4.33 electronically. Nothing was generous about that.
