  1. What about the reverse here??? No tuition for city kids to go to county schools...and some do. Then what kind of rule do you "make up"? 1st page
  2. What did your research uncover about tuition paying athletes? Far from 193, I assure you!
  3. Can I get in on this gloating? Congratulations Maryville!!!! I'm soooooooooooo happy that you all shut down that whole "Maryville can't hang with the big boyz" thing. Number 14 sure looks good, I bet it shines as bight as the other 13!!!
  4. So what, my niece goes to Alcoa Middle and my sister pays tuition. She lives in Maryville....go figure! At 12, she's faster than #2. Maybe she'll suit up when she gets to the high school lol
  5. How's that working for the county schools in Blount county?
  6. So you think that the championships that I was a part of are worthless huh??? I know for a fact that we all played both ways for those, thank you very much Mr. Sorbet
  7. I don't recall F5 or any Alcoa fan mentioning any names. We rarely even mention names of Alcoa players. However, we are kinda fond of mentioning numbers.....wait for it..........#2!!!!!
  8. Lol, everyone who saw the game knew who was going to get the ball. The real funny thing is that this coach guy really believes that they would have been able to stop him on a dry surface-ha! If they concentrated on #2, then #1 would have unleashed his arm as well as his legs (first score). Not to mention trying to stop a non-hypothermic Malik...oh boy!!! This is what I texted to #2 before the game: "This is it! It's what you've worked all season and the last two years for...you are the leader. Run hard, keep the ball high and tight-leave it on the field!" Boy oh boy did he listen!
  9. Nope, because I am an alum, born and raised in Alcoa. I know many families and I know the families of the impact players through out the years. BTW, 36% of out of zone students does not equate to football players...how many of those students were female?
  10. I think Alcoa is still dominant in that scenerio, however why would they prevent any student from participating in the sport of their choice???
  11. Not! because of his obvious haterade for Alcoa and Maryville he totally disregarded RebRaiders point here: "Coach, there are lots and lots of open enrollment schools out there. Most of them are the smaller county schools that you are talking about being hurt the most..." To attribute Alcoa's 13 and Maryville's 14 state championships to their open enrollment policy is ridiculous and disregards the effort, dedication and program buy-in of the mass majority of kids who have grown up in their respective local communities. Open enrollment has not equated to 13 or 14 gold balls....truth!!!
  12. This was a very special Fulton team-Hat's off to the Falcons. However, they don't want Alcoa every year!!
