Did anybody see Unicoi drop 101 on Unaka last night at Unaka? They must have really shot well!!!!

I don't even like Johnson Co.....FYI......They may very well beat JC, I just think it will be a good game, that's all. I have heard JC's perimeter is killing them because all they have is Poteet. As far as winning 30 games per year, that is great but the teams they are beating in conference are just terrible and most of the other teams they beat are smaller 1A teams that are not even half their size. When they do play "up" they usually only play the weak teams from the big 9, just like this year they have beat D. Crockett twice....WOW! I know most of this is not their fault though, and I actually like Uncoi and enjoy watching them play. They have this big winning streak in conference they talk about, but the truth is if they were even playing down in 1A they WOULD NOT have a winning streak to talk about. Maybe if they actually played someone and didn't get a false sense of how good they are, they would have at least have shown up last year agaist Austin East! Maybe they were a little cocky there and AE took them to the woodshed big time! And FWIW, AE was not even that good last year!

Why do you keep going back to that game for? Its a new season now and they made it farther than any other East Tennessee team last year!!!!

Well smarty, I'm sorry I upset you, I was just making converstion and really don't care who wins that weak #### conference anyway! The main part of JC's team to me is Poteet, Bellamy, Phipps, and Tugman! When you add Steele, which more than makes up for Prudhomme, I think they pretty much have everything back. I never said they would beat Unicoi anyway, but I think with them having more back than Unicoi does it will be a good matchup and I do think they will beat Uncoi at least once if not more. They are loaded inside, where Uncoi is weak as water but they have no outside shooting besides Poteet. Outside is where Unicoi has a big advantage. IMO. Should be some good games there, if it's okay with you if I say that! Maybe I should have just said "Unicoi is the best and they will roll over everyone on their schedule" ........Does that make you happy and all warm and fuzzy inside? I hope so!

I wish that Unicoi would get out of this weak confrence. They are way to good. Johnson County doesn't stand a chance with Unicoi. They can't even beat Boone. Unicoi will run all over them Mr. TylerDurden. And just to let you know the post is not weak as water. They will shut Bellamy and Phipps down you wait and see. What is your pick on this game? And did anyone see the jamboree where Unicoi played amazing and beat West Greene 22-2? Their defense is amazing. The starters didnt even play but 5 minutes. So who do yall think will win this Hall of Fame game being held at Unicoi friday night?

The Central starting five pretty much dominated the game. I think it ended up 92 -78 or somewhere close. Unicoi does have some great shooters and are a scrappy bunch but couldn't hold up to the starters from Central. When they went out of the game the Devils would make a comeback but when the starters came back the game went the other way. Central was good on the boards, shooters were pretty decent but the Unicoi defense did cause a little trouble for the guards. Unicoi should have a great season again this year. Central IMO will surprise some teams in the Big 9. Other thoughts?

Yeah everybody is still waiting on that drop off but it just hasn't happened and prolbably wont. Unicoi would have been in the arbys this year but they already had signed the contract to play in the hardees classic and a tournament in Florida and your only allowed to play in two tournaments per season.

Is Unicoi County playing in the Arby's Classic this year?

 

I wish Dobyns Bennett would schedule the Blue Devils, a home/away series. I think it would be a good gate in Kingsport and especially in Erwin.

Unicoi looks to be the favor in the wautaga confrence once again. With Miller and Headley return from last year as leaders and also has added length with Whitson and Lyle who are 6'4" and long. And a big presence down low 6'5" Turner. They are also going to be very deep on the bench with Corn and Tolley. Unicoi should cause alot of matchup problems this year. They are very strong defensively and is going to keep trying to push it like they did last year. So you know what that means?? Another undeafted confrence championship.

Well Its going to be one of the few good games this week, except north and tn high. Its going to be a challenge for Jc to contain Ethan Bennett while worrying about Headley cathing bombs from Whitson and vise versa. Unicoi has 3 receivers in the top ten. Headley being third is just an extra. Unicoi has one of the best passing attacks around. Whitson is a great quaterback and will be ready for Jc.

oh, and by the way, longhorn51, i heard corey headley wasn't at practice on wednesday.....why? because he was visiting the university of louisville the night they played kansas state on espn. i don't know if louisville is giving manager scholarships now, but i guess that's the only reason he was there since what's his name from Johnson Co. is the only division I prospect in the region.

Thank you Louisville is a way better school than Middle Tennessee State for sure buddy. Prudhome must be signing as kicker beacuse all 5'9 of him will really take him far and college and who knows maybe the nfl YEA RIGHT!!!!!!

There is not a Tennessee beating Florida chance that Unicoi makes the playoffs. They played a THS team that got caught looking past them and almost got a win, but Unicoi is 0-4, and the only game you might win is central. You boys got 2 weeks to get ready for Johnson County. You better practice hard.

Tennessee has had trouble defending the pass this year, but that's the most anyone has thrown against them this year. The Vikes need Pendleton back, the quicker the better.

I have no clue i know they had like 3 people who got hurt but Unicoi really outplayed them for 3 quarters. THS is just so deep but that will be the last time they will ever play each other again.

It will take a lot of effort from them the rest of the season if they want to see the playoffs. They'll most likely have to win 4 out of their 5 remaining games to make the playoffs.

They could easily do it though with them already have played South and THS

Yeah whitson threw for near 300 yards and 3 tuchdowns. Shepard ran for somewhere around 200. Harmon wasnt very impressing at all.

To tell you the truth tennessee high is just flat out horrible unicoi is a very good football team and they gave them all they could handle friday night so i am saying sullivan east will beat them. Tennessee high has the worst secondary i do believe i have ever see in my entire life. Dw Whitson the future Louisville Cardinal threw all over them. They just didn't impress me at all.
