  1. Shutt really talked with how he played with all those TD's he racked up. And as far as sportsmanship goes, I only saw one unsportsmanlike conduct thrown all game and it was against shutt who seemed a little upset that his QB lofted it in the air like a dead duck and McNairy picked it off.

And you can talk all you want but those rednecks and thugs are obviously much more mature than you are right now. Your comment is what is wrong with this world today. Why can't rednecks (you obviously meant white rural kids) and thugs (i assume you mean african american players) be a good combination. The boys from McNairy are mature enough to not care about each other's race..they are just all out there playing ball and trying to win ball games. They have great team chemistry and it is one of the reasons why they took the game from the Tigers last friday. This is one of the most stereotypical and idiotic comments I have ever replied to and it is sad that people still think this way.

  2. Great game Bobcats. The bobcats capitalized on crucial mistakes made by Gilchrist (tiger's QB) and Mood made big plays when he had to. It's good to see McNairy football back to its winning tradition. And I have to ask--Why does such a talented athelte as Schutt feel the need to jaw his mouth all the time? Maybe he can learn a lesson from Mood and talk with the way he plays.

  3. I've lost a lot of respect for Liberty during this game....I admire their athleticism but the attitude of the team right now is not a good one. You can tell that they think they are untouchable and thats not a good way to head into the state tournament. Everybody in AA is aiming for them and I think that somebody is going to knock them off. And for the Liberty coaches....I have two words--unsportsmanlike and dumb. When your team is up by 20 in the late third quarter there is no reason to have your starting five in the game pressing as hard as you can. Not only is running up the score unsportsmanlike, but if they keep it up, somebody is going to get hurt and the coaches are gonna go from hero to zero. That's all I have to say...I know somebody is gonna try to flame me for this and I will respect your opinion as well.

  4. Well...the Bobcats took this one by 15...Lexington's season is over. The tigers clearly didn't have their heart in this game and the Bobcats were ready to roll. Great game from Nathan Forsythe and Ken Bingham really stepped it up in the second half when the Bobcats hit a slump. Now it's time for Liberty...

  5. There is just something about those Lexington Tigers. They know how to beat McNairy. Once again...nobody is to blame except the bobcats for that loss. After seeing the way they played southside and seeing how good this team actually is, it is heartbreaking to watch them lose games they could have won. No disrespect to Lexington but I believe the Bobcats should have won. Good job by the Lexington players to not let the whole coaching ordeal have a big impact on the game. McNairy has so much potential...maybe they will figure out how to put it to use before district tournaments.

One has to wonder how much time that man has in a day. How can you juggle a high school boys basketball program and a jr. high team in the same season at the same time. It is simply outstanding. I mean wow! Not many people could get away with what he's doing. The Adamsville coach can drive by a jr. high gym in McNairy County and everyone connected to MCHS Basketball screams foul. Yet McNairy coach can go to the locker room with a jr. high team and coach'em up. Heck of a coach. Tell you what, how ever his doing it? Please don't stop.

Coach Forsythe is doing a great job and I have a ton of respect for him. I have no idea what you are talking about but clearly you are just trying to stir up some kind of argument and controversy. I have a feeling this thread wont last much longer.

  7. I agree...When McNairy and Adamsville play, it seems that everyone forgets their morals and values. Its such a heated rivalry that people do stuff thats a little out of hand. There was unsportsmanlike conduct on both sides of the gym but hey...thats part of what makes it such a great rivalry. I've enjoyed my four years and now I'm done with Adamsville. Good luck in postseason play.

  8. Yeah...it all goes down in the roundhouse this year. I am looking for the Bobcats to make a late surge in the district. I really think that the Bobcats could take out Lexington and Chester County easily. I also think that if they keep up the play that they have shown me in the past 3 or so games that they can beat Bolivar as well and make a big district run.

  9. Yeah...McNairy hosts the whole district tournament this year. And as far as McNairy's student section...I agree. We could definitely be louder but I am one of the few that is constantly yelling my head off. As one of the founders of the Blue Nation, I am happy with what we have now. I can think back to when I was in the eighth and ninth grade and there was virtually no noise coming from the student section. It has turned into something positive for the whole student body. Now...McNairy will make it out of district and I believe fairly deep into region play. The Bobcats are playing like they should be now and we've finally found the right starting five. We should win out in the district. If we play like we have been, Bolivar, Lexington, and Chester County will all go down. I wasn't that impressed with any of these teams when we played them the first time...the only reason the cats lost is because they were in a slump. They've shaken whatever was wrong with them and I am looking forward to an incredible postseason run.

  10. Liberty wins 72-51. McNairy played a good first half but Liberty got serious in the second half. A few questionable calls for McNairy in the third is what put the Crusaders up by around 20. Without the weird calls I believe that it woulda been a little closer but Liberty was obviously the better team. With their athleticism and deepness it is easy to see why they own Tennessee.

  11. Its gonna be a good game but I'll take McNairy by 5. The cats have a game with Southside friday night and I believe the cards have a game too so both teams probably wont be as fresh and energized as the first matchup. With this in mind, I expect it to go down to the depth of the bench and having the freshest players on the court. McNairy's subs have stepped it up the past couple of games so I'm expecting a Bobcat win.

    McNairy 71

    Adamsville 66

  12. I'm not one to complain about officiating but this was a horribly called game. Liberty would have won by 15-20 points without the officials help but it absolutely killed McNairy's team morale. When a player almost fouls out of the game strictly on charges called by one referee, its ridiculous (especially when that player is the star of the team). Besides that though, I was very impressed with the Crusaders. They are a great team with a pretty deep bench and they have definitely proved themselves title contenders in my eyes. Good luck to both teams in the rest of the season.

  13. its simple math mcnairy has 753 enrolled students, aville has 422..............dang near double! when you weigh out the difference either aville is way better than they should be or mcnairy is way worse that they should be..........prolly a combination of both! lol! yeah the whole mcnairy rap music, cheerleader striper routine was a little risque! to say the least. as for humbolt and union city, bring em on, mcnairy couldnt beat em. as for bolivar and liberty being in your district, you are the same size school as them so whats your excuse for not getting to murpheesboro? you see what i am saying though, this is what mcnairy plays for one win and maybe a .500 record....aville plays for march and the gold, its all that matters, if we get beat by schools that are twice or three times our size along the way, they will only make us stronger! and help us reach our goal.........mcnairy will be lucky to get fourth and a region bid. aville pretty much rolls to substate........we dont pick the districts........and its not like mcnairy would have gone anywhere if bolivar and liberty didnt exist. they would still finish fourth. i got a question? bingham shot pretty lousy in the first half and not to well over all. he has done this each time i have seen him. how many shots must he have taken over the years to amass 3000 points? and couldnt any average joe score 3000 pts if he shot 20000 times?geesh becareful what you brag about. its about winning big games, games that matter, games in feb and march. face it this year mcnairy has maybe a 10% chance of getting to the state maybe! then you lose your whole offense, bingham........who you gonna let shoot 50 times a game then?

No team in the state plays for one win and a .500 record. At McNairy, we expect to beat Adamsville...it's just the cardinals that won't let it go. We beat you and you get on here and cry about being a single a school and how we're supposed to beat you and how much we stink even though we manage to make the region tournament in the hardest district in the state. And if Bolivar and Liberty didn't exist, we would be rollin to substate just like the cardinals do in their weak district. Now...Ken Bingham is one of the best players in west TN. There is no need to get on here and bash him. He has had a great career and will continue to do so. He deserves a ton of respect. I have no problem humbling myself to tell you that Brett Jackson is a great player. And we did lose Bingham for nearly a whole quarter saturday night and what happened?....We increased our lead. Good luck for the rest of the season Cardinals.

  14. I have a feeling that Liberty is going to be untouchable in the region this year...but I have seen crazier things happen. McNairy should have a solid season this year and be runner up in the district.

    1. Liberty

    2. McNairy

    3. Southside

    4. Bolivar

  15. Maybe shameful wasn't the right word, Gross would be more correct. All that nasty crap the cheerleaders were doing down there like the half time when they looked like strippers was pretty gross. Plus the cheerleaders were leading the crowd in the cheers that promoting negative comments. That should not have been done. I'm pretty disappointed in them; I thought they had a little more class than that.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. The cheerleaders did a dance routine at halftime...just like one that I'm sure the Adamsville cheerleaders will do at some point in the season. And as far as the crowd goes...i didn't hear a single negative chant all night. There were no "you s*ck" chants or anything of that nature all night. I thought it was suprisingly clean for a McNairy/Aville game. But anyways...I give the adamsville boys team props. Ya'll should make it very deep into the tournaments. There is some talent on that side of the county.
