Coach Hutch, well i wondered if you read these posts, and i glad to know you do. Let me first say i was not sure i was bantering with students, i don't know anyone on coacht. I was just trying to vent my personal feelings about SD administrators, with out causing problems for my son. I feel if i were to confront anymore coaches or the AD my son would get the short end of the stick. I don't personally hold you accountable for any problems at SD i hold the AD or (coach as you call him). I have talked with the AD and still don't get the answers i need. Excuse me for caring about the High School that my son attends. I'm just a parent trying to get my son an education, and to be able to have a little fun on the field. I'm sorry i have a hard time waiting on the program to rebuild. My son only has 4 years of High school, how long should we wait. Why don't you tell the players who have already graduated, and the future graduates, and the juniors, and the sophomores, and the freshman, and the middle schoolers, etc... how long is it going to TAKE. I'm sorry if i have i have rubbed anybody the wrong way, but I can't help how i feel. it's tough being a parent.

Ballgame--Well don't tell me what good fans the students are when they leave because they are bored. That shows no school spirit. And the other reasons the other programs are doing well is because Duncan primarily cares about football. Plus I don't believe any of those Coaches have been replaced yearly. I hope Duncan noticed all the empty seats this past Friday night. He could be getting ready to get hit in the pocketbook. Anyway I am still a strong Cherokee Fan and will be for a long time. I am very proud of each and every one of the Boys on the team. I know how hard they work, and how much they work, and I know how they feel win or lose. I will always being in the stands cheering home, away, win or lose. GO CHEROKEES

Good point Get Right, I will try to calm down. But it's so frustrating to keep going through this day after day season after season. I have had ties to Doyle for over twenty years, and never have I been ashamed of an admistration, or of the school until Duncan years. I don't blame the current coaches for the problems the team has, they are doing the best they can do. But their best is not good enough. I would like for some of these people that read this to look my son in the face and tell him all the excuses that have been posted. My son only has 4 years of High School and then it's over. High School sports is supposed to be the time of your life. His has not been. We should have known the way Swafford was run out of town there was going to be problems. Did the AD meet with parents, and explain situation, no, did they meet with the boys and explain why their coach was wrongly fired, no, when the boys went to the AD looking for answers did they find them no. is anyone seeing a pattern DUH... Unless you have a child on the team then you have no right to tell us how we are suppose to feel. Where is our School Spirit Squad when we lose, oh yeah, they leave early, sorry the game wasn't exciting enough for you all, or where is the Spirit Squad when were behind, oh they left. Don't you people know they team can tell when your not there. I know one group that stays to the end win or lose, thats the parents. So again I say unless you have a child on the team you can't even begin to tell me how to feel, act or think

Hey ballgame, it sounds as if your might be someone in the student section. If so why don't you encourage some of those so called school spirited boys to get on the football field instead of being a "cheerleader" Also since your so concerned about the image of the student section, why don't you encourage them to clean up their dirty mouths. Apparently they haven't noticed the young children that have to sit around them. We pay to watch the game just like you all and would appreciate not having to hear the language. Oh and by the way when your an adult, and not still sitting with the students, and you have a son on the team that feels no support from the AD, and has even gone to the AD for help and is lied too, and a son that has watched the student section leave before half time at some games, and a son that has never missed a practice, and a son that gives up a lot of things in order to play on this team, and a son that has had more coaches in his high school years than years in high school you write me

Hey Ballgame--the student section may be the biggest, and they may dress the dumbest, but what does that have to do with Football. The student section is an embarrasment, they have flithy mouths and strut around with their telephone numbers on their backs. Oh where was Duncan when the student section ran onto the field early, and could have gotten a penalty against SD. Oh yeah he was standing down there but he moved out of they way. Anyway on to football, Way to go SOUTH DOYLE, I am very proud of the team. Maybe they can take this win and move on in spite of Duncan. I was also happy to see the cops keeping the fence clear of spectators.

To Leonard Losers--you left some things out of the coaches schedule, lets see cussing players, avoiding players, avoiding parents, etc... And waiting on kids to get rides home. I don't know what parking lot you've been in but they usually are gone before some of the kids. Some say help out, contribute, call, etc. I have done all of that. Nobody wants to by cookie dough, or discount cards from anybody from SD. Some of the players were actually made fun of by strangers in the Walmart parking lot for trying to do fundraisers. Oh yeah I see our coaches in the community, usually at Walmart during the DAY, the school DAY. I know first hand alot about this football program, and I have tried to look at it from both sides, and neither view is pretty. I think uptown needs to get off their duffs and find out what the problem is. SD has more problems than the football team. Drug use, violence, the list goes on and on. We have been long time S Knox natives, and are not able to move, but if I could we would be gone. I feel when Duncan pulls out of the parking lot and goes to Powell, SD nevers crosses his mind again. I have talked to alot of Powell people, and they sure don't want him back. If he's such a concerned person, why don't he take a PAY cut and go back to coaching. And one more thing, most of the SD coaching staff have young children, and babies, if they would only remember that these boys are somebodies children, and they are trying. They need to change places with some of the SD parents and look at it thru their eyes. Watching the boys hang their heads in shame, coming home dead tired night after night, beaten and brusied go to bed and get up to do it again. All along the way the coaches won't speak to them in the hallways, and when they do talk they are usually cussing them. I wonder if Hutchins has ever seen one of his own hissy fits on video. You know when he jumps up and down and screams at the officials. Better yet how would Duncan, and the SD coaches feel if some one treated their children like they are treating ours

LeonardLosers--I have had very close ties to the SD program for along time. And let me begin to tell you that there is no discipline on this team. Swafford's program was doing more for this team than any coach has done for along time. Moral was had at a all time high, school spirit was high, attendance was high, the games were fun to watch, and they actually WON SOME GAMES. Duncan shows up---fires coach for no reason I might add, lets Chandler take over then gets rid of him, and brings in the Rugrats to try to coach the team. SD does not have a prayer unless we get a new AD and some help with the coaching. I like the coaches they are trying, but it is apparent they need some help. If Duncan really cared about this program he would be more visible with the team and get them some help. Wonder if hes seen any practice's ? Swafford was fired for "slapping" a player, well come to a SD practice and see what goes on. These coaches are supposed to be role models, teachers, and then coaches. I wonder if they use the same language in the classroom, that they use on the field. The boys don't respect the coaches, the coaches don't respect the boys, and AD respects no one.

So us SD fans are supposed to tell our players they need to wait another 2 years while Duncan and the present staff gets their act together. So we tell our Seniors oh well. So we tell our Juniors oh well. So we tell our Soph. just hang on we might get our act together. I don't think so, the Seniors deserve better than that. What have the been working for?? How would you feel to go to school all day practice until around 8:00pm, come home do homework, try to get something to eat, go to bed get up and do it again, everyday. When you look forward to "PAYDAY" Friday Night, and you and you end up leaving the field with another lose. These coaches and staff don't really seem to care about the players. They appear to be going thru the motions. I have a high interest in the SD program, and I am very disappointed in what UPTOWN is allowing to happen in South Knox. If this was a West Knoxville school things would be different. And if Mr. Duncan is such a wonderful, legendary coach then why is he not coaching. I still say Powell can have him

Let me just say one more time the problem at SD is the AD. If he was so loved at Powell, and respected and a wonderful legendary person why did he leave ? If he is so committed to SD why does he have all of his Powell stuff decorating his office. Would you take pictures of your x wife into the bedroom of you new wife ? When he had Swafford fired did he have a meeting with parents, with players, with anybody no he just fired him. Clark cares about nothing but his hair, teeth, and tan. I know Clark doesn't make the calls on the field, but he hired the ones that do. I don't fault the coaches, they don't know what to do. The boys on the team are so frustrated, and down it is pitiful. They are made fun of at school, and some are even ashamed to say they play on the time. School spirit is terrible. Since Clark has been at SD things have gone down hill. Powell you know you want him back, I'll be glad to give him a ride out there !!

No Heart. The Cherokee football players have heart, it's just broken. Thanks to all of Clark Duncans admistrative skills, SD has done nothing but go down since Powell got rid of him. They say the Coaches need more time ?? How much time do they need they've had 3 years!! They don't know how to coach. With every game they are slowly killing South Doyle Football. I have not missed a game since they have been here. It is heart breaking to see the faces of the players when they leave the field time after time with a lose. They practice constantly, and they still can't win. The coaches blame it on the boys, and boys blame it on the coaches, but the fact is the blame lies with Clark Duncan. The coaches are too young and inexperienced, and are unable to give the players what they need. They don't realize what how they are affecting the futures of these boys. What college is going to give a SD player a second look? Somebody needs to come in and clean house at SD. Starting with Clark Duncan. Then the coaching staff, and then maybe some of the players. The sit on the benches on the side lines and talk to girls, they aren't paying attention some of the players that are injured walk around not dressed out with their cracks hanging out, the language coming from the coaches is horrible, and our QB is the best player the other team has. When is someone going to take this program over and give us a chance
