There probably ARE guys who could play QB...just as there probably are guys who would be better LB's than what they have. The issue is this though...if you have to beg a guy to play he probably isn't worth having. I've "found" a few guys over the years but chances are you are looking at character issues. You definately should have learned that from Buddy. If a guy doesn't want to play enough to come out he's probably not worth having. There's a lot more to a good team than just having good athletes.
I didn't say you couldn't help...I said you can't think they NEED you to explain the fundamentals of the passing game. My guess is that if that's the kid they are playing at QB he is the best they have...why would they play him if there are kids on the team that can "flat throw the ball"? By the way, all good coaches you named but if you learned from Alvin and Buddy then you learned to run the ball not go 4 and 5 wide.
first, you can't honestly think they need your help with passing the ball...econdly, you obviously haven't seen their QB this year if you want them to go 4 wide...and the one before him wasn't a whole lot better.
Come on now...the doctors and coaches aren't going to let him play if it is dangerous. If it wasn't safe the doctor wouldn't clear him. Now as for his effectiveness....who knows?
