Don't get me wrong, I love the "K-town Bad Boys". I love watching them, its like watching a high school version of the old Detroit Pistons. The thing I love most, is Catholic can do something "dirty" & no one gets mad, its like well thats Catholic for you.

I personally think Catholic will make state, but I think why the Prepxtra snubbed the Irish was because the 2nd place team in your district (even though they played the toughest schedule in AA) had a record of like 10-20 (something like that). I know that should not play a part, but this maybe the reason.

wait where did Catholic get that nickname adn what kind of "dirty" stuff are you talking about , the defense cause that is pretty "dirty"

They are currently 22-5 just won the district tourney and beat Powell and isnt even in the teams to watch in PrepXtra of Feb 17 and are 5-2 v. teams in district championship games

Amen. I've maintained all along that Parton is the best POINT GUARD in the area and Tony White is the best SCORING GUARD in the area. Just crunching the numbers from an admitted GREAT Tony White performance, he took approximately 35 shots from the field. Doesn't leave much room for any assists now does it? I bet Rande and B.J. are having a fun time watching Tony create his magic. We'd love to have them at Catholic. They might actually see the ball there. The 2 freshman posts surely didn't expect any passes. If they want the ball they can just rebound all those misses. How do you explain Rande going from 30 point games to 5 point games? Tough to score without getting the ball.

thats what i have heard, ive heard that even the 3 sophomores on Catholic (including the 2 that have only played in 2 blowouts) are in love with Parton. He treats them like an equal even though he might be the best POINT guard in East Tennessee

hey the only reason i brought up respect is because (it supports my point), i HEARD about the catholic webb game from one of my buddies who was there, yes, HEARD, because when i watched the news to see some hightlights of the game, there were none, NOT EVEN AN ON AIR MENTION, they showed blowout girls games, like Farragut v. Bearden, but would not even mention the great game that went down at Webb on Friday night

oh and ive seen matt parton play a few times, he is good

i just want to know why Catholic gets no respect, im a Kingston supporter and we thought that they would not be as good as they had shown in previous games. I was wrong they came out and beat our butts in a big game.

Coach Pemberton. Period. Catholic moved from Divison II to the toughest region in 3a in the state and they won it outright which NO ONE thought they would do.

Coming from a Catholic supporter, LA is a good team and this game will be close. LA has a lot of heart and when Catholic was up 17 (i think) near the end of the 3rd they battled back and almost won.

CARTER BETTER BE READY

My hats off to Catholic as well and coach Pemberton. But looking ahead you better watch out for the LA Wildcats instead of Carter. The Cats played Fulton down to the wire last night and in all reality should have won. It's not set in stone just b/c Carter went 9 and 1. The Cats finished 5 and 5 and are probably the best 5-5 team in the state.

I just have to complement the Knoxville Catholic Irish. Before the season no one thought they would finish better than 3rd except for those kids and coaches. I bet even some of their parents didnt think much of them. They presevered and won the toughest region in 3A, even though they lost to Fulton. They have to gear up for the playoffs though and possible playing Fulton in the 2nd round, Carter in the 3rd, and Notre Dame in the 4th. Good Luck to Catholic. Great Season

They HAVE played a TOUGH schedule and they have won, like no one thought they would

They ARE a tough team and by the way so is Webb, i sure if fulton played in Div II they would have to same "success" that they are having this season

And by the way AE, i went to the Catholic v. AE game, they may have only scored one touchdown, but they dominated you on offense and defense, its rediculous that you are talking about playoff time when you have lost in the playoffs the last few years, maybe you need to focus on playoff time instead of telling people that they should be ready for it

and i dont care that you lost to fulton, its a new region and a new 3A this season

Sorry buddy but I disagree with you! AE knew going into the game that Catholic would be the hardest team on their schedule.

 

However, you better realize AE isn't worried about Catholic nor is Catholic worried about AE. Why do you guys keep bringing that up? Fulton will be ready to knock Catholic off. They know it's a must win game!!!

by the way if AE wasnt overlooking Catholic why were there no fans at that game??????

i never thought i would say this but

Fulton is not up to the level of Catholic, from what i have seen Catholic has overachieved and are very good, Fulton has underachieved and cannot handle the teams they were supposed to

this is another huge statement game for catholic against a team in Fulton who USED TO BE the best team in the region

I'm not sure what exactly everyone is talking about here, sounds to me like a bunch of catholic kids tryin to make themselves feel better. Well for the third year in a row, the padded schedule of catholic has caused them to believe they are better than they really are. I have followed this rivalry and been to each of the games for years and from what I have seen, Webb is alot more physical than Catholic. On friday, expect to see some Catholic boys trying not to get hit while Webbs gonna be knocking some heads off.

so i guess this guy was wrong because i was watchin the game at home and im pretty sure i saw webbs huge tight end SIEVERS get up a little slow after a somewhat small safety for catholic hit him at the end of the first half

I would just like to update you from the webb practice field i talked to my cousin who plays for webb today and webb's star rb/db kevin campbell had a 3rd degree ankle sprain which he recieved during practice and will be unable to play on friday. So not only will webb be missing there star running back ther big man taylor askew will not be playing due to a dislocated shoulder recieved in the BGA game.

is this for real or just a ploy by webb to catch some people off guard? Can anyone else confirm this? anyone from webb?

as i remember catholic should have killed webb last year, the rivalry brings out alot in teams i.e. last year
