  1. I don't care if you've played 100 games in 100 days. You have to show up to play EVERY day! Congrats to PF, and hopefully Farragut learned a valuable lesson.
  2. I am not doubting that they haven't improved. They are loaded with talent, but I still dont think that they would match up with last year's South Doyle team. SD had three guys that threw over 90 mph and a line-up that was explosive on offense. Everyone on their team could hit bombs. Farragut may be good...but they don't compare to that.
  3. The greatest team ever? They mostly have the same players as last year and they didn't even make it out of the district. There is no way they are better than last years SD team. They were great!
  4. Farragut is still the team to beat...no doubt. They are hot right now, and I dont know if anyone can beat them.....not even the "great" South Doyle. Guess we'll see on Monday. Oh....and all you SD fans in left, heads up! We'll be hitting a few at your rednecks who grill out there.
  5. The schedule was in the paper the other day i believe...
  6. I agree that SC has greatly improved over the past few years since I have been playing. I think they may surprise a few teams in district play, but their district is just so loaded in talent, I don't see them making it very far.
  7. ....all this talk about Bearden and Farragut. What about South-Doyle? Are they done now that Hawn is out of the picture? I heard that they have 8 kids who have signed to go on to play college ball. If thats true, I don't see how they can be so overlooked... Anyone know?
  8. How about 4AAA? Sure you are looking at weaker teams in Sevier Co. and Lenior City, but how about the other powerhouses? Farragut, South Doyle, William Blount, Bearden, Maryville, and Heritage. These teams are great year in and year out. It is a shame to only see 2 of them advance to region.
  9. Alright! The Govs are on a tear right now...upsetting Bearden and Farragut!! We played South Doyle close last time, but they got lucky when we made an error. They threw their best guy ( Holland ) and we still almost won. This time around he won't be throwing because he threw against Sevier Co. (why??? I don't know), but all that does is increase our chances. I say that we continue our streak and take this one. WB - 12 SD - 5 GO GOVS!!!
  10. I still think that the whole SD team is overrated...oh and i'll be there tonight...you can count on it. I think that the Kees have something coming to them that they have never seen before. Its called a shut-out baby!!! The govs are gonna take the overrated Holland down in his own park, and South Doyle's hitters 1-6 will be absolutly shut down...and 7-9 aren't any good anyways!!! Lets see who the better team is!!!! GO GOVS!!!!
  11. I believe that William Blount will take this one rather easy! All SD has is Bell, and he pitched last night, he threw a great game...but he can't pitch again tomorrow. The Holland kid is over-rated. I also don't think that their bats are good enough to beat WB. Good luck. Go Govs
  12. SD wins 9-0...Chad Bell pitched a no hitter and was one batter away from a perfect game...congrats!
  13. Tonight the unthinkable almost happened. The setting was at South-Doyle high school where the cherokees played the Mountaineers from Heritage. Chad Bell threw a pefect game throughout the whole game....and then with two outs in the bottom of the 7th inning....he walked a batter. The next hitter hit a dinker back to Bell which he threw over to Conley for the final out. Congrats Chad Bell on a great game pitched and congrats to SD on a great win. Final score............... SD - 9 Heritage - 0
  14. Knights of Columbus!!!! This is getting a little out of hand. Who cares?....it was just a scrimmage wasn't it? And all you all are talking about is how good the Halls vs. SD game will be.....you don't even know if they will play again. From my understanding, they don't play each other in the regular season, so there is a chance that they won't play again. So why don't you all just cut the little school boy bull crap. Its bush league. True...both teams have great players, and between the two, probably many future D1 players. So I wish both teams the best of luck on the year...and remember...like I always say...."you stay classy" -Ron Burgandy
  15. For the last.....well...forever, Farragut has been the team to beat. However, some people believe that this is the year for South Doyle. Their "fantastic freshmen" are now juniors, and they have a ton of talent. Bearden is also in the race, with a lot of Senior leadership. Who do you think will come out on top? I'm Ron Burgandy...... stay classy
