Veer offense is one of the hardest offenses to defend especially in high school. To be successful you must play resposibility football which is hard for a high school player.

Obion County seniors walk a rope to the far end of the field and then back to the center of the field. They stop to say the Lord's prayer and then they proceed to put the rope on the poles at the end of the endzone. This takes place before pre-game warm-ups. Then, right before they run out, the whole team walks onto a brick path with names of previous players. They touch the bronzed helmet of a fallen player who died several years ago. At the conclusion of the game, the seniors walk the rope to the far endzone and say the Lord's prayer a final time. They then carry the rope back inside to the coaches office. The whole theory behind the rope is that if a teammate were dangling off a cliff could you hold the rope for him. Since seniors are the supposed leaders, they hold the rope!

We run the veer offense and it seems to work pretty well in high school football. Many teams have trouble scheming against the offense especially when you have a line that can block. To stop this offense, you must be very rooted in technique. However, this type of technique defense is rare at this level.

I'm goin w/ u on this one. I think LC is a very good team!

I am going to have to go with Huntingdon in this one. We scrimmaged them in preseason and they have alot of weapons. They have two outstanding backs and a very underrated QB. They also have a strong D. I predict it will be Huntingdon by one or two TD's.

Huntingdon has come on strong since their loss to Westview. They are a tough team who will not quit. I look for them to make a strong run at the 2A title.

All I know is that OC is for real this year. Thanks for all the fans support
