Oneida never really showed up in this game and coalfield came out from the start and just punched them in the mouth....i still think oneida is the better team out of the 2 but friday night coalfield played better than oneida did....oneidas seniors didnt play very well and coach king brung in a group of 3 sophomores and 2 juniors and oneida came back against coalfield early in the 2nd quarter, but coalfield came back out in the second half and dominated oneida again for 2 more quarters and was just to much for them friday night

Tonight Oneida jumped out on Greenback and never really looked back they held a steady 10 to 20 point lead the whole game...even the 2nd and 3rd string guys was up on greenbacks starters by 20 and at one point 26. Only one player scored double digits for oneida and that was one of them 3rd stringers so Oneida as i said can go 12 deep and still have enough talent on the floor to get a win and hold a lead. Tomorrow they play York and then they get ready for the tournament in cookeville so good luck to the indians and good game tonight.

So what did everyone think of the win over sunbright and what does everyone think about greenback tonight??

well big juicy if i was guessin i would say that every person that lives in sunbright and oneida actually care ...and if you didnt care you wouldn't be readin the forum anyways so nobody in the state really cares what you think about either team

I dont know about a 20 to 30 point lead....Oneida was up by about 12 in the first half they played pretty good and in the 3rd Sunbright had a little more kick to them and got it down to 5, then 4 sophomores and lambert played together and got it up to a 15 point lead with 5 minutes left in the game and probably could have finished sunbright off the way they was playing. He took out the sophomores put in 4 new players with lambert and sunbright started to come back again, but oneida finished it out ...i think they won by 5 to 7, but i think they could've won with the sophomores left in the game. Somebody told me King said that, that group that came in late in the 3rd and played early in the 4th saved the game. What does everyone think about that?

What does everybody think about Ohs and Shs tonight ...Sunbright aint to bad this year, well thats what i hear anyways. They have a couple good players returning from last year. What do you all think about it?

The Indians came to play tonight, but i have to say that the JV game was actually the better game of the 3 there was. Oliver Springs played pretty good in the 2nd half, but i think that we out worked them and wanted it more we just couldnt get free throws or other shots to fall. We turned it over quite a bit against their press which didnt help either. But i still yet think the JV game was a pretty good one....oneida's jv is still undefeated after coming back and their next game is friday against greenback good luck to them and good luck to the varsity tonight against sunbright.

I agree they are seniors and they lead the team, but if they aint playing good Oneida does have other players they can go to. They should always be in the starting 5 every game and should see the ball more. Our posts "centers" play against a zone every game and when they do get it they usually go to the free throw line or score, but other times they try to force a lot of stuff that isnt there. I understand they are close to the goal, but if it aint there, it aint there just kick it back out and let everything re-settle. Anyways good luck to the indians traveling to the land of oz tomorrow night and lets get a couple wins.

Oneida can go 12 deep and have just as close the talent on the floor as the starting 5 with those other 7 they have 5 sophomores that can play 3 Juniors that can play and all 4 seniors can to....Oneida didnt play great against coalfield tuesday night, but that 3rd quarter group that came in done good and that didnt surprise me at all because them boys go just as hard as the others do in practice and have just as much talent just because some of them dont always get to play dont mean that they are horrible. Big freak is the strongest player on the team, he boxes out better than anyone on the team and it may be because of his size he is a monster but he uses it to his advantage and right now as of tuesday night he is playing just as good as anybody else is. If you dont think Oneida could play 12 players that can all play you're crazy. I agree with Kaz, everybody on the bench aint always gonna come in and be "on" but the other night they was and i think that group showed that they can play to.

Oneida has a big game tonight against coalfield and i think they can pull it out, but the players have to believe they can win and play together as a team. Against Wartburg they missed a lot of free throws early and they turned it over a lot early. In the second half oneida play wartburg even outscoring them by 2, but the 2nd quarter is where oneida broke down. Tonight they play coalfield who aint nothin like wartburg but they aren't a team you can just look past. I think oneida will take this one by 10 to 15 points if they play together and play with some heart.

yes oneida plays AC this year i think it might be one of their last regular season games, but i aint for sure. After friday night we will find out what kind of team oneida has when wartburg comes to town. Wartburg has two big boys in the post and good guards, but oneida wont backdown i dont think. Who does Scott High play friday??

I think it will be closer than a lot of people think ....i heard the tribe practiced hard yesterday and worked their butts off so i think they will be looking to upset the bulldawgs and knock them off of that mountain that kaz was talking about. Wartburg might be fast but oneida aint slow, i think they could hang with anybody when it comes to conditioning and being fresh for the 4th quarter. They just need to get focused on the game friday and worry about nothing else because wartburg will bring it and it will be a battle til the end. Im pullin for the tribe though

Wartburg and Oneida play friday night....in the past this has been a pretty big rivalry so what does everyone think about this game.

Oneida basketball is really coming along after sparking up in the 3rd Quarter last night leading into a 20 point lead against Oakdale. i was just wondering what everyone thinks about them and how many they will win this year.

the game was hard fought and a very good battle at that, but i think that the indians were a much better team talent wise than clarkrange was. #10 fouling out in the 3rd quarter hurt the indians just as much as it helped them i think because once he was out the team seemed like they had a little more chemistry and still knocked down big shots they got to where they wanted to win more than the indians did. Which is why they hung in there the whole game even in overtime. Oneida played an all around very bad game, but one or two players showed up to play and they were the difference in the game. I hope they dont look like that this upcoming week or it will be a long week of practice for the players, because you know oakdale and wartburg are always going to bring their A game to oneida's house because its just that big of a rivalry. But like i say good luck to Clarkrange down this long road of a season and the same goes for the indians. What did everyone else think about the game??

This year the team is pretty solid got pretty good depth on the bench along with 5 good starters. Last years game against william blount wasnt even close, but i think it will be closer this year. Oneida is returning every player except for the one senior they had last year and they are in top shape to. They should be able to run with anybody in their district or region. I think everyone on the team is pumped, psyched, and a wee bit nervous for the first game, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Oneida is not favored but i think they will stick in on this one it will be a fight til the end for both teams. Oneida just doesnt have the experience though, i would say they play more sophomores than just about anybody in their region. When these boys are seniors i would watch out for them, but thats for another day. I am taking oneida in this one because i dont think hampton has met a D like this and their offensive is playin a little better than before. so watch out for the upset in this one. oneida hasn't been playing very good at all lately the defense is slowing down the offense cant get much slower so i dont know if they can beat sunbright, but sunbright isn't as hot as they was either...its anybody's game thats why i have no prediction i dont know who will take this one oneida probably has the little advantage because its at M.E. Thompson

scott stands 0 chance winning this ....yeah yeah last week they beat LA, but that was a F-L-U-K-E.....LA is having a down year and they only beat them by 3, i mean seriously kingston is just as good as they was last year and they hit scott in the mouth last year it was nasty this year will be just as BAD scott wont even score... sorry about the heartattack kaz, i wasnt for sure i was just trying to get everything cleared up because several people told me that yesterday, but today one of the players told me that TL said he aint gonna be the D coach no more but i dono dont go dying on me kaz....TL cant stay away from the game though he loves the game i dont think he'd give it up, he probably spends more time the football players than he does with his kids (excluding Zach). I dont think he would give it up for hardly anything, the players need to start showing more heart and desire when they play on offense and on defense, i think that is the problem i think there are just a few that really care if they win or not, someone told me at one of the games a couple weeks ago that one of the players was on the phone at halftime talking to somebody and not even worrying about the game, that is pitiful if i was a coach and one of my players was on the phone at halftime during a game not talkin about the game, even if i was winning by 30 he wouldn't be playing the 2nd half of the game, that just shows you dont care about the game and you dont show respect to your teammates or coaches

What is the deal with TL (Tony Lambert) quitting?? Some one told me that yesterday at the practice that he just up and quit.... Aaron Buttram also quit, well thats what i hear anyways, but last yera he said he quit to and came back so u never know how that is gonna go.... but does anyone know about TL??

I think this is truly one of 2 games that scott high has left that they can win, last year scott had livingston, but wilson cates took over the game and livingston won by 8 or so....this year livingston dont have cates, but scott doesn't have smith either...i think this one stays close and scott gets the win I think scott can beat LA and AC, but other than that i dont think they have a chance to win the other games. yeah there are several juniors and sophomores that could play and help the team, but we have to worry about the players playing right now, they are the ones busting their tales everyday at practice to play, the ones who dont play dont love the game as much as the others so leave them be....i dont think its who aint playing, its mostly who is playing, there are a lot of the players on oneida's team that are self-centered and think they should be playing at all times, or getting the ball at all times...some players are not like that im not sayin all are just a few, but those few need to step up and quit being so selfish and oneida needs to play as a team. no-one needs to worry about lamberts D they will get the job done they always do the offense is what people need to be talking about they cant move the ball for nothing, the pass game is never there, the rush game is good the first couple plays of a drive, but after that its dead to....the offense needs a whole new gameplan, or oneida might not end up winning another game this year... but with all that said i dont know if the offense will show up or not friday for oneida, but i still gotta take them oneida - 20 harriman - 14
