i have alot of confidence in them and they know that. They have a lot of talent and im not saying they arent gonna win im just saying u gotta look at the other teams. Hixson looked really good last year and they lost one guy so why try beating around the bush they are good. Smyrna is good to with out a doubt. I dont doubt them at all but i do believe they need to be a little more serious about whats going on. I know they will put all their heart into every match from here on out and i wish i could be there with them.

good one backr. Everyone is considered second to smyrna but no one should be considered that way. From what i saw when we won back to back was that every team that was in state deserved to be there. Whether their schedule was weak or they had the hardest schedule alive, the won their matches to get there and they earned their way. All i know is that the amount of talent in each area is remarkable. Idk about avg wise but the scores being shot by males and females is insane. EVERYONE needs to think they arent invisible bc ill tell u what the championship match last year was the most heart pounding gut wrenching match i ever bowled. How do u come back from being down 7-1 in the State Championship Match? That was a huge run and i give my hats off to Hixson last year. They didnt lose much and they are gonna be just as strong this year. Just Put the scores on the board and that should be all the trash talking you need.

ok well u might have but im sure others that bowl in the smaller bowling centers have not. It just makes things alot more interesting when kids are having to really focus in and put there knowledge to good use on these sport patterns. i guarantee that if they made all 6 games on sport pattern that was a difficult one that maybe 1 person might average 200

yea i just think that highschool bowling needs to start mixing in sport shots as well. for the singles this year its like 3 games houose and 3 games sport and i guarantee that most highschool bowlers have not bowled sport shot. i understand that some bowling centers are not capable of putting down sport shot patterns but if these high school bowlers want to pursue bowling into college, then they need sport shots. almost all collegeiate tournaments are run on some kind of sport pattern and its not as easy as the pros make and im sure everyone will agree with me on that one. Im pumped about state. im not bowling highschool but i wish i could bc this singles is gonna take off after this year and become really competitive

Exactly! i know my first 2 years we had guys that deserved to go to state but couldnt because the team wasnt strong enough. with a singles championship, this allows guys that do not have a chance to make state enjoy and see the atmosphere bc it is insane at state. i know i met alot of friends there and even today i talk to them and see how they r doing. some are bowling for colleges and others are just chillin at home. State is an amazing time and im glad to see they are giving others a chance to participate

thats true to. im just speaking what i felt when we were bowling. i think with the singles thrown in that each bowler is going to try harder to make it and will lead to more exciting regular seasons

Yea thats true our regular season was not that competitive bc of the quality of each team. im not trying to knock the teams that were in out division but it seemed like those teams didnt put as much effort into it and then wondered why they were at the bottom. thats why we had so much success over the last 2 years because of our dedication on and off the lanes. My coach will agree that before we were teammates we were best friends and that helped us improve as a team. I can tell the guys from hixson are like that as well and i only bowled along side of them once. i hope i get to come watch state this year bc i wanna see how motiviated these teams are gonna be.

lol Mr. Williams what is going on. True the experiences we had in the regular season does payoff but it wasnt even a true atmosphere in the regular season as it was in district. u know exactly what i mean. its like the regular season was just a half competitive practice. i liked bowling in other places to get the mental game and adjustments right but it was just not as competitive as it should be. I dont know how it can be improved but with this addition of singles it will help alot bc if i had this last year u guys better believe it woulda been game on. i just hope this singles doesnt get too big and has every bowler on every team bowling for themselves. if any of you read this and are bowling for a team now please put your team first. it might sound dumb but it happens to alot of people and college bowling is no different. TEAM ABOVE SELF.

Ok so i have been reading everybody's arguments and topics and so on and im really impressed with everyone's comments. What everyone needs to understand is that the regular season doesnt amount to anything honestly.it does a little with the singles being thrown in but being a former highschool bowler i noticed that the regular season didnt mean crap. Yea you got travel to other bowling centers and experience other patterns and environments but when it comes down to it u can be 1-10 and as long as u win during district and region your team is in state. ive watched teams start at the bottom of districts and work their way and knock off huge teams so what im trying to say is take the regular season seriously but remember that this is only the regular season. it all starts with districts and everyone kick some butt and prove to others across the nation that Tennessee has some really good talented bowlers. really good actually. we went to our fisrt tournament saturday and sunday and we had 3 of our four teams make the top 8 and the team i was on finshed 4th. We are really strong and really deep. Well good luck to u man i hope u guys keep up the good work

Im ready and i dont even get to bowl lol. Im kinda pumped to see the singles event. That is something TSSAA has needed to get in bc there are many great bowlers in the state of Tennessee boys and girls. As for teams, Hixson looked really good last year and they only lost 1 or 2 guys so they are looking reall really strong and Smyrna did take some hits but they still look pretty good. As for other teams around the state they have been hit hard with losing good bowlers but I think this year is gonna be an insane year. I wanna see a battle all year between every team in the state. I was talking to a guy that i know and he said he might know who u r knoxbowler16 so who r u and why do u not like me and chris.

Its just amazing how people want to try knock on the team that won state. Ive said it once and ill say it again, every team, bowler, coach, and fan, earned their way to state and fortunately enough there were two AWESOME girls teams and two AWESOME guys teams in the state finals. This year at state, there were soem amaizing games bowled and matches won. It was the most exciting state tournament in the history of TSSAA bowling without a doubt. Nobody is a "gangster hoodlum". im trying to understand y there is so much trash talking over something this stupid. Hixson and Soddy have great teams, both guys and girls, and what they did at state this year was INCREDIBLE. When three of the four teams in the Finals are from Chattanooga, there is definately some great coaching and some very dedicated bowlers in Chattanooga. Its pretty difficult to talk trash about a team or anyone on a team when they both were in the state finals. Thats like us trying to talk bad about Hixson. We would be the most retarded team ever if we tried to talk bad about a team who was down 7-1 after the first game and came back to make it 9-7. Everyone needs to drop the whole trash talking about each team and each player and prove it next year. Its now time for the teams to put up or shut up! PEACE OUT KYLE BARNES

It hits just as hard as the action does. The Action Packed is best when the Action starts hooking to much bc u can still get the same carry and make a small adjustment. I woulsnt prefer it over the action bc its such a good transition ball. If the Action starts hooking to much and you cant get it to hold, then you can switch to the Action Packed and it takes care of it.

Yea the Action Packed is Freaking amazing. That ball is good when the lanes start to break down and the lanes are really hooking. Today at Springfield when the lanes broke down and the middle opened up, I switched to the Packed and was wearing trhe hole out. That ball gives you great length on the burnt with the carry and nice backend. On fresh, It still reads the lane well but needs a little bump area to score high with it. Its one of the best balls out right now.

Yea that would be a great match. When you get 4 bowlers with that much talent you are definately gonna see a lot of strikes and high scores.

Man its ok just watch what you say. I dont understand y u got so mad at her bc she was rooting for a different team. Just because we beat yall at substate doesnt mean that she cant root for us. If you guys would have made it, i probably would have rooted for you guys even though you would have put us out. Its all about RESPECT.

No problem at all. I dont understand why everyone wants to cut other people down for rooting for a team thats not your own. Our own principal and our faculty advisor thought highly of us when we rooted for the Soddy Girls. Hilary all of our guys appreciate yall cheering for us and we are glad that yall appreciated our cheering. No matter what you all did a good job and no one can tell you guys differently.

Yea both teams caught bad breaks tho. If you look at the scores they were way down. Between Alex Noyes and myself, we both left way too many single pins. I dont think there were two guys in the whole tournament that hit the hole more in three games than Alex and I and we both got ripped. I friggin left a weak 7-10 and Alex stoned like 4 9-pins. So both teams caught bad breaks and not a certain team caught more than the other.

I bowled Chris Mass and we both shot really good. Ishot 702 and won the first and last game and he shot 275 and beat me the 2nd game Yes we did bc they had a lot of spirit for their team and thats what keeps a team going so we thought we would cheer for them too

My toughest single opponent? It was really all the guys i bowled because Matt Montgomery is capable of shooting high scores and i had to go strike 9 spare in the tenth of the 3rd game to win that one, Tyson Ward for Mt. Juliet came out and shot 278 the first game and beat my 258 so he was tough, then Alex Noyes beat me the second game and made me work to win the first game so every guy that i bowled was extremely tough and i give my props to all of those guys. They shot some great scores.
