I know that Cloudland had a fan that was one of the best and known by many. Cobby Marlow was by far the best fan for Cloudland and unfortunatley they lost him this past year. Ask anyone about Cobby and it brings a smile to their face.

Johnson County is a perfect example of this. They chose to play 4A when in fact they could be in 3A. The reason being is that there are no 3A schools close enough and travel would be awful. Also, Johnson Co. has to include in their number a school that is for delinquents, and they don't have the option of playing football. So when the truth be told, they are really a 2A school. Now that is interesting.

JUST FOR THE SAKE OF "IFS". IF HAMPTON WINS AND GORDONSVILLE WINS, DOESN'T HAMPTON GET TO HOST THE GAME? I THINK THAT IS THE WAY I READ IT. PUJO?

And where was Midway come playoff time?????? Ask anyone who was there, we lost our starting tailback against Cosby, and I beleive that anyone would agree that Cosby lost alot of wind after that game because of the huge buildup. Doesn't matter though, we will compete in 2A just fine.

Hampton has made a run of it as 2A. Got knocked out by Knox Webb after we beat them to death everywhere but the scoreboard, and that is where it counts. Webb went on to win state, I think. Bring 2A on, cause I know there are alot of 2A who couldn't make it in 1A.

Midway beat Harriman the first time by 22 and then lose their QB and win by 12. That ought to show how important their QB is. It is going to be a very interesting game, i think we will see what kind of game it will be after the first series of each side. Good luck Dogs.

Harriman played Midway pretty close, alot closer than the score and alot closer than the first meeting of the year.Harriman had 4 turnovers, 2 INT's and 2 fumbles, that will hurt anyone and still just lost 19-7. Harriman finishes with a recorf of 6-6, with not any big wins. I have said all along, too much pariety in Region 2. Midways only loss comes from 2A Rockwood, who also did not have a good year and they beat Midway by 22. Midway seems to have a decent offense, they are averaging almost 40 per game, defense is good also, maybe not as good as Oneida. I think we will have another tough game on our hands, but if we take care of the ball, execute, and play like we are capable, this game will come out alright for us. Playing against stingy defenses is only helping us. Too erly to predict, but I still like Hampton by at least 14 right now.

Let it go. Oneida gets lots of respect from alot of Hampton fans. They play a good defense, but its over. Quit sitting here and waiting on someone to post just do you can say you get noe respect.

I called this game 28-7 and stuck with it. I knew the teams wouldn't put up numbers like they were use to. Very happy with the win, although we could improve. I dont know if the cold made a difference, but sure looked like it. The ball must have hurt trying to catch it, cause nobody could. Onedia made a valiant effort and my hats off to them, they showed why they are tops in defense in Region 2 and maybe we showed why we are tops in Region 1. It stinks for the seniors that this was it for them, but you had a good team and not many get to the 2nd round. Enjoy the win Bulldogs for a short bit, and get ready for Midway, this game could be better than the one 2nite.

At first glance, I thought, here we go again, another Highlander talking his smack about how Hampton can't go to state, can't play with anybody, yada. yada, yada. But then I thought, you know what? He is somewhat correct. Here's where I think you are wrong. if you don't have to pass, why pass? And I am not sure, but Michael has thrown for 4 TD's against Coalfield, and I think 5 against someone else. He has over 20 TD passes this year, not sure on the yardage, Pujo can probably enlighten us. The thing is, our passing is probably our most dangerous weapon. We have got 3-4 that can catch and be standing in the endzone at any given time. I have watched Hampton football alot the last 3 years and here is my conclusion on this years team. They will drive the ball down your throat, clock eating drives, and score. They will throw when they need to and they are successful, or they will throw when they don't need to, and they are successful. We have a better passing game than most in E. TN. Just look at the stats. Being 50/50, I don't think so, if we go to that point we might be in trouble. I like the way we are going now and shouldn't have to change anything until someone acts like they are going to stop us. So now at second glance, it looks like you are not giving us any chance and thats okay. We don't Highlander fans. BTW, how's basketball going????

I just realized that we have got just a little over 2 days before heading to the field. (Oneida fans may want to already be gone this time Friday). I am getting nervous and the only thing I have to worry about is getting my cup of hot chocolate back to the stands without burning my hand. I would like to know your defintion of blowout. Mine would be like last week, 42-0, at the half. I have given respect to Oneidas defense since this thread started and I think they will keep Hampton from scoring what they are use to. I will stay with my prediction, 28-7, and that ain't no blowout.

That has them at 36 rushes with wellover 300 yards rushing. That is very easy to do against Grace. They had no rushing defense. Not sure what Hampton had. Anybody know?

Oneida beats them 27-0 and Hampton wins 40-0. No big suprise they couldn't score. They have had their offense screwed up since last year, its the coaches fault. If Oneida wouldn't have struggled, and by that I mean you score 2 TD's in the 4th to win 27-0. I just think it is going to shock some people at how fast this will get out of hand.

It doesnt matter what you say, compliment them and they think you are putting them dowm. I too have said both teams have improved, I just don;t think they have improved to Hamptons level. Proof is in the pudding, and the pudding will be served Friday night.

I think that this game will be closer than people think. Midway gave up 38 points to Greenback, maybe it was JV, don't know. But I have said (not on here) that I do not believe Midway will make it to the 3rd round. Prove me wrong guys, but my gut tells me Harriman in a very, very close upset.
