  1. hahaha yeah but i look for it to be a little closer at region like it was at region even though dl should still win pretty easily. either way dl fra and mlk are all gonna make state no matter what so region is really just for bragging rights. i'm still pulling for that 1-3 sweep at state by region 5. make me proud boys

You got any thoughts on Region champion, individual wise?

  2. CPA will indeed make huge leaps from last season. Their group of sophmores might be the best in Middle TN (Ensworth has some good ones as well). PG Hunter Miller put up 44 in a game last year as a freshman. F David Anderson is a fantastic all-round player and a monster on the boards for his size. And of course, CPA welcomes back talented big-man Z Mason (He goes by Z- trust me) who is playing for sure. Also, new head coach Drew Maddux is getting them in great shape and ready for a season headed deep into the playoffs.

Comparing FRA with CPA is ridiculous. Also their youth will not be a problem. If you've seen them play, you would know that those sophmores are fantastic leaders.

    Watch out 9AA!

I don't understand how you can say that so easily when FRA beat them twice last year. Please don't say something like they made huge improvements by working hard in the offseason or anything, because it makes it seem like FRA didn't, which isn't true. The only player CPA added was "Z", but FRA added a huge upgrade at the 3 position that can shoot the lights out. I don't mind you picking them to beat FRA, but saying it's ridiculous is a little far. And "trust me", you are overhyping these sophomores. CPA has almost no advantage over FRA, and I don't really know how you can prove me wrong there. "Z" has proven nothing against AA talent, Miller is a talented offensive player but is a liabilty on defense, and saying Anderson is a "fantastic" player is a little far fetched. Talk trash, I don't care. But don't completely disrespect a team you know nothing about.

  3.

Back to the other situation.....You obviously do not know much about CPA. They had a down year last year, but they have a lot of players that played in some big AAU games this year. Plus they have a 6-6 Sophomore transfer (Zeke Mason) that is ranked in the top 5 in the state in his class. That will be there game changer. Ezell, I don't know, you can flip flop them with Ezell and maybe Hume Fogg if the younger players do not develop...But I don't see FRA having any chance of getting the fourth spot and making it to Region.

Yet again, I never said they would finish top 4. But I have seen Zeke play, and I am very unimpressed. Talented, but extremely lazy and gets in foul trouble. Also, FRA played in a lot of AAU games this summer, so don't act like that is some kind of advantage for CPA.

  4. I agree that CPA should not be overlooked, and may be bringing in more talent with the hiring of Maddox.

FRA may have some starters left from last year, but what does that mean. None of the are all that athletic, and a system can only go so far. Without a gamechanger or someone that can create something by himself, there is no hope in this district.

I never said anything about FRA finishing ahead of DL, MLK, Hume Fogg, or Pearl Cohn, and because of that, I don't see how CPA or Ezell are more athletic or have the gamechanger you speak of. I really don't wanna have to say this, but i'm assuming you mean FRA isn't athletic because they don't have black people. Because if you don't mean that, then you have no idea what you are talking about. They might not be flashy, but it's not like their players have 10 inch vertical leaps and can't run with anybody. And also, having starters is important because they have been in close games before and won't be shocked by the "athleticism" of the other teams that you speak of. It's really not that hard of a concept to understand.

  5. they have run more meets than the one on tuesday smart one. one guy ran 17:12 one ran a 17:27 and the other ran a 17:29. the others did bad and they still got 2nd by six points. they'll be ok.

I understand they have run more meets than the one on Tuesday. I'm not an idiot. But if you just take PR's from all the teams, then a lot could look extremely good right now. Based on their most recent meet, they did not meet your standards. What's to say they won't do that at State? Now DL is still the team to beat, there is no doubt about it. They're the favorite, they know it, and everyone else knows it. But they are not unbeatable.

  6. FRA......How come everyone you listed is "strong?" Do they have any weaknesses? Please, lets try to be as unbiased as we can.

FRA might only have one strong player this year, Salamander was mistaken. The other starters just shouldnt be considered weaknesses considering they all have starting experience and have played in AA before. The weakness will be the bench, no doubt about it. No bench player has any experience for varsity except for some minutes that were few and far between.

  7. one of my best friends goes to dl and he says nobody is gonna know whats gonna hit them. theyre layin low bc they have nothin to prove in these races. its all about the last race. they want people to think theyre close when in reality theyre not gonna be.they have three guys under 17:25 three under 17:40 and one not far behind according to some past district races. it will be interesting to see what happens but i still hope we can beat em!

That's interesting considering that everyone expected them to dominate this year including some people predicting them to break FRA's state record of fewest points. The other one is also interesting considering they only had one guy break 17:25 and only two others break 17:40 on Tuesday.

  8. So, after sweeping Ezell and CPA last year, returning 3 starters and there 6th man plus 2 transfers from Montessori and a transfer from Page, you all pick them behind CPA and Ezell. I guess that works out. :thumb:

  9. I talk to Vaughn last week and he told me that he really didn't like the 200 and this little stuff u r talkin about to get a better lane do u really know what u r talkin about? If u really talk 2 Vaughn he will tell u st8 up that he doesn't like the 200 at all. The 100 is his best event.

Oh, that's good. Even though he can help his team in state, he was too selfish to actually try just because he didn't like it. What a team guy.

  10. im not josh son....DAVID MCDANIEL. yeah josh is a GOOD runner

I'm glad you like bragging about your former teammates. Can't you move on? Yes, Jaynes is a very good runner, but at least wait for some times to come out before you say he can't be challenged.

  11. The players ankles were not grabbed, but York players did fall on the ankles of FRA players twice with no foul. I would consider that a foul, but them not calling it didn't get me mad. It was the fact that FRA got called for a walk and out of bounds when it happened. That was the biggest problem that I had with the refs.

  12. I played basketball in high school and college. I was at this game, and this game was well called. Now, I was for York because I follow 7AA basketball. We have the same person complaining about the ref's under several names in this forum. He thinks we are all stupid. This is a child writting. It reminds me of the novel "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. Anyone that has read this novel will understand where this child is coming from.

OK, well, i'm glad you are so smart at figuring out that one person has multiple names. Because it isn't true, so good job on figuring that out. I'm proud of you! Making up something to try and call us out. I won't deny the fact that some of these posters are good friends of mine, but i really think it's funny how you thought you were so clever in "figuring out" that we are one person, and it isn't even true. Congragulations!!!! YAY!!!!! :thumb:

Anyway, the game wasn't the best called, but i'm not gonna complain about it. York won, good job. But i still think FRA should have won the game and sealed it in the 3rd quarter. FRA had just gone up 28-20 and stopped York on three straight possessions. Guess what happened on FRA's 3 possessions after the defensive stops. FRA turned it over twice and Chenger decided to pull up from 17 feet when she was one-on-one with a 5'5 person. Instead of possible going up by 14 points, FRA turns it over and York hits two threes and gets within 2. When that happened, i didn't think it looked good for FRA.

  13. Trentdilfer? and Flatline, no offense, but you guys are idiots. You discuss nothing that has anything to do with ball and know nothing that has anything to do with ball. Enjoy your short trip to State and see you next year!!! Make sure you apoligize Thursday night to all the B-S you are saying now!!! York by 20!!! :thumb:

OK, i gotta question. What did i say that is B-S? I gave an opinion on the score just like the rest of you. I said FRA by 5. I wasn't saying stuff like "No way you can win", "Brandi can't be stopped" and "It's a guarentee" like some of your fans. Also, you have absolutely no idea who you are talking to. If there is one person who knows about sports on this board, it's me. I bet you had never even heard of George Muresan before i mentioned his name. You can keep talking all this stuff about how I don't know anything, but it won't phase me because I know the facts, and you don't. And also, i like how you said there was no offense in your statement calling Flatline and I idiots. That doesn't make sense, and i think you are the idiot for trying to pull that off. I think you have the intelligence capacity of a melon. But hey, no offense man. I'm not trying to insult you or anything.

  14. You obviously do not know what moral means. Please go back to your Nintendo game and leave this forum to adults.

I know exactly what morals are. I don't need you testing my intelligence on a CoachT forum. I know what it takes to win a state title, i have two in CC. So don't try and lecture me and tell me how intelligent I am or what people need to do to win a state title. You obviously don't know what it takes, because you are talking about how her future at MTSU and her grades can help her tomorrow. So why don't you just sit down and let the people who know what they are talking about have a debate.

  15. Being brilliant, moral, and unselfish has nothing to do with relegion, but it has a lot to do with one's character and the decisions they make in life. This has alot to do with her natural given abilities. Thats why she is going to MTSU and will start as a freshman next year. She will also make straight A's.

I hope those straight A's can get her past FRA <_<

  16. I was trying to be nice. York is a weak team without brown. Fra Cant shoot. both teams are average. It does not matter who wins. The winner will have to buy a ticket to see saturdays game.

Yes, these teams are average. I mean making the state tournament and being one of only 8 teams left isn't very impressive. If you ask me, they are only sub-par.

  17. Our girls have been working so hard at this. and you just dont know how bad the want the State Champion title... Brandi is a great player and yeah she brings the girls together.. she can hold up her own.. and she is a tall girl too so i dont know y there is talk about her not being able to hold against Jackson and Chenger.. when Brandi has support behind her from her friends and family thats all she needs to make this a great game.. Molly is a great player too.. she is just a freshmen that is a starter and she got MVP in district tournament.. she is going to be awesome in years to come! York will have alot of support thursday.. just wait.. we are behind them 100% and as long as they are doing what they love and giving it their best, we will be behind them until they are named State Champs! GO DRAGONS!

    BTW, this isnt Brandi

and we are the Lady Dragonettes.. that is what we have always been and that is what we will stay.. you will see thursday..

OK, first of all, this might be one of the cheesiest posts I have ever read. All she needs is friends and family? How the heck is that gonna help her? They will be in the stands, and she will be on the court. And it's not like she will be the only tall girl on the floor, Chenger is about an inch shorter, which is not a lot. And being tall doesn't mean good defense. Ever heard of George Murusan? Yeah, he was 7'7 and in the NBA and lead the league in fouls 3 straight seasons. You also mention how the York girls worked hard and want to win. I just wanna ask you this. How many teams at the state tournament didn't work hard and don't wanna win? None of them! That has absolutely zero relevance to anything because every team there works hard and wants to win the state title. What would be the point of playing any sport if you didn't wanna win?

Anyways, i think FRA will pull the upset, mostly because every York fan is extremely overconfident. COme on! Winning by 30? You aren't playing our middle school team. FRA by 5.
