hard to believe the legacy of romell gletten started as a second-rate sprinter...
13...haha
-
trent, you have to remain open minded here. understand there are those on these boards that aren't as intellectually capable as your average gofer. have pity on these poor souls, you can't hold their stupidity against them. besides, they're 'special.'
-
right, another sub 10.5 runner that we've never heard of... and i went 9 flat in practice the other day.
-
why thank you, but i figure if i post more often the quality of my insults may drop, so the scarcity of my involvent is in the effort to maintain quality control.
-
right, i would like to personally thank you for your enthusiasm as pertaining to the physical prowess of James Gilreath, however, i am offended and shocked that you, etown, would label us, the coacht junkies as being ignorant about the state of running in our state. If you don't think we already knew about James Gilreath, then you are obviously a complete, utter, total, blatent, definative retard. you sir, possess the intellectual capabilities of a rock, and are as stupid as your 800 pick is fast, perhaps more so. If your stupidity were to run an 800, we would be looking somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 seconds, which is, for all intensive purposes, as fast as my car. To say that people such as myself and the crippler are uninformed is unto itself a rediculous, and obviously uninformed statement. If you knew the depth of knowledge possessed in thecrippler2222's mind, you would drop to your knees and kneel prostrate before the glory you have encountered. you are, to us, just some petty plaything that we entertain the whims and fancies of, simply, because, it entertains us to watch you flounder around in your false hope of ever attaining the knowledge we possess. You area a farce among runners, please get off these boards.

i particularly enjoyed that part where he is "literally as fast as lightning" as "fast as lightning" is a figure of speech, and to be so in a literal sense would require traveling hundreds of thousands of miles an hour. that said, i'll be sure not to be anywhere near him when he runs te 100, as anything moving that fast through our atmosphere would generate: 1) pulse waves that would eminate rediculous amounts of force, capable of crushing any humans close by 2) rediculous amounts of friction that would generate enough heat to flash-fry any human in close proximity and 3) a sonic boom that would not only rupture eardrums, it would burst human skulls of anyone, again, in close proximity.

haha, the little editing software thought i said 'boob'
-
thing is that GC hasn't got the experience to keep on runners like tyler ramsden or clay adams. so if we're looking at times ######-for-tat, then obviously, he's gonna get schooled. the kid's still fast. and for another example of such an athlete, on a higher scale, i give you riley young. he was hailed as being the "fastest eighth grader ever" (remember, that would have been bumbi's senior year) and now, despite the fact that he's not the greatest sophomore ever, he still owns.
-
haha, amen to that, we should run xc year round. track is too monotonous for distance runners...
-
and clabo shows us all that he's the best distance talent in A/AA running in this state...again...sigh.
look for mahaney and johnson to chase that down in the next couple weeks.
-
the only teams that get threads started with their names on them are either incredibly elite: oakridge, mccallie, BA, etc. or incredibly weak, like sycamore. and who is this kid running a 10.3? i've never heard of him.
-
McNo, i'm just getting warmed up. but i'm starting to agree with crip. the odds of two or three different generations of e-town runners being total a-holes doesn't seem likely. i'll bet it's some AAA or DII runner messing with us.
-
dangit, i'm missing the McAction, why didn't anyone let me know about this. i was McWaiting for it to get McGood.
-
great assumption: brandon mahaney will not be going to state in the 100, however, you overlooked the trivial detail that he will outscore your whole team.
-
there needs to be a special forum, just for people who go to elizabethon, where they can go and bang there egos against eachother, as opposed to the rest of civilization. it makes me wonder if there's alot of in-fighting on the e-town team that drives this apparent insecurity that would seemingly force them to attempt such brash scare tactics on these boards so early in the season.
i need to work on my run on sentences, maybe i should transfer to etown and study in their dilightfully brilliant english department...
-
nobody is gonna overlook you guys, it's not possible, not with you in our faces everytime we log on telling us that you'll win state for sure. No, what we're doing is not called overlooking, it's called polite phraseology.
We're just saying you're not as par'ful as you think you are.
-
I'm totally game, i like bigger fields anyway.
-
times change, i guess egotistical teams dont...
good luck, etown.
-
I am going there this weekend, I need some new shoes.
haha, i love it.
-
yeah, coniglio, good job on finishing 4th, congrats to clabo, and congrats to lipscomb, despite runnig the worst races ever. i'll see you all on the track.
-
ouch, allstate or castration, that's rough.
stinks to be you stealth...
-
who made that nanometer comment? Dl is going to bend all of us over, accept it. FRA is nearly set in 2nd place, if they have a really bad day, then they might slip back a spot, but it would have to be a very bad day. but then again, if they slip back one spot they have the potential to slip back 4-5 with the tight battle for 3rd. why are we even debating this topic of team champions? make your bets for third, with USJ, JCS, etc...
the individual champion is another story altogether. it could go any one of like 25 different combinations in the top 5, so continue your childish bickering.
-
on the bright side, coniglio, atleast you have 2 more than patterson and madden, and one on johnson, you're pretty much a shoe-in for 2008.
-
ummm, did somebody forget about a certain, i dunno, Kyle Patterson? cuz, ya know, he doesn't run a 52 sec. 400 or anything...

MLK has a 7-12 program, and they would have been 7th graders at the time, at MLK, so there probably exists some memory of the class of 05, and MLK would be their respected middle school. Regardless of how young and "caught up" they may be, it is always best to remain humble in victory. the crippler is right to say that they're not the first powerhouse class to ever run at MLK.
