  1.

He was never going to Lexington to start with. The older brother is the better ball player.

As soon as Johnny fines another head coaching job, the family will be gone again.

I dont think Cole would have had a hard time finding a starting job on a team that lost most of its starters and all of its starters at LB.....

I think maybe they thought it would be better for him to be playing beside Donald.

  2. went out to watch huntingdon last night at team night and met coacht mcadams. he was there watching his son. i thing carroll county probably gained by getting him and i am sure his son will be very welcome on the football team. the players seemed to be impressed by his abilities and seemed to like him. i think he will fit in the program well.

I thought his son was going to Lexington.

  3. Last year I would have said: TOP 25 TEAMS IN 3A

1.) Region Two (AE, Fulton, LA, Knoxville Catholic, and Anderson Co.)

2.) Region Five (Lipscomb, Cheatham, Marshall Co, and Creek Wood)

3.) Region Seven (Crockett Co., Covington, Haywood and Dyersburg)

4.) Region Four (Pearl-Cohn, Greenbrier, and White House)

5.) Region Six (Lexington, Liberty, and Jackson South Side)

6.) Region Three (Notre Dame & Polk Co.)

7.) Region Eight (Trezevant & Mitchell)

8.) Region One (Carter & Seymour)

    Pretty good.

There is hope for you after all.

  4. Has he made any sort of announcement about this, or are you just close to the situation and you feel strongly about him ending up at UT? I had heard he visited UT here recently and then he was going to visit ND after that. I don't know if he'll still visit notre dame if he's for sure going to UT.

He's said that he will announce his decision before the season starts.......so we should hear real soon.

  5. My post was mainly in response to a guy on page 1 who said they were running 4.3's and 4.4's which is just not believeable. BTW, I read a rivals article on J.T. Beasley, and he seems like a great student athlete. I saw where he already has MTSU and Miss. St. offers which is great at this early stage.

I read the article on Beasley also, it looks like he is having a great camp tour too.

  6. thompson is the most seasond coach as far as playoffs in region six (in my opinion) and everyone has their own.. thompson will have fw ready Rome wasnt built in a day and it takes evry good coach a little time to get his guys beliving in him and in thier selfs.... look at knox catholic it took there coach 3 years, it took counce 3 years at dyerburg, but keep in mind thompson knows the game and has been sucessful and has talent to work with in fw... probably more tallent than the rest of the region

The Ware has always had talent, size, and speed...........they just have never had any direction. Thompson will make them a very legit team, but they will never dominate as his Melrose teams did.

You have to keep in mind that he had 4 All Americans at Melrose on 1 team. He coached more NFL players in a 5 year span than most people will coach in a lifetime. Melrose has 5 players in the NFL, only Long Beach Poly Tech has more. That type of talent just doesnt fall in a coach's lap every season. Sure Thompson helped bring it out of the players, but I dont think he will find that much talent again.

  7. i agree i think mcNairy will be 3rd my pick are

    1 fayett ware

    2 liberty

    3 mcNairy

    4 lexington

two lexinton coach's have mad mention off not being very good this year but i believe they will be a fourth place team south side may be able to compeat with them, chester may as well,,,, everyone better look out for fayett ware im not a tim thompson fan but he is a great coach look at what he did at melrose.ENOUGH SAID fayett ware has memphis class athleats as well

Lexington's coaches have not ever said that they wouldn't be good this year. Inexperienced yes, but never not good. They have said that this group of freshmen are better than the group that produced college signees Jonathon DeBerry, Blake Booth, Spencer Taylor, Kevis Buckley and 14 all-region selections last year.

I dont think they will win the region, but they will give teams a hard time this year.

  8.

Liberty is still in the region. They don't move up until the 2007-2008 school year begins (2007 Football Season)

    As far as the region:

    1.) Liberty

    2.) Jackson South Side

    3.) McNairy Central

    4.) Fayette Ware

5.) Lexington (just for you PrepFanatic)

    6.) Chester Co.

    7.) Bolivar

Thanks.......like your top 4, just not the order.

  9. Lexington.

Lexington lost a huge amount of skill position players to graduation. I think they are 2 years away from another region title.

I'll have to go with Liberty. With Thompson and his FW Wildcats following close behind.

.......And guys, before you make fun of my signature..........its there because the Pistions couldn't pull it off against the Heat. I have learned my lesson about betting with coacht posters.

  10. Breaking News!! Golden is not on the Rivals100 for the class of 2007. What is up with that???? ;)

I noticed that. I dont see how anybody with 7 or 8 offers from D-1 schools didnt make the list. Doesnt matter I guess, he'll put up over 3.500 yards agian this year.

  11. Golden's dad was second to none other than Jerry Rice for total college receiving yards in 1983. Jerry had 3,011 yards and Golden Jr. (JPII Golden's dad) had 2,885 yards.

Wow....Thats an amazing stat, thanks.

  12. would he have the grades for notre dame?

Yes. You dont have to worry about his grades. I think any body from Mustang Country can tell you that this kid knows what it takes to get to the next level, and he makes sure he has everything it takes to make it a flawless transition.

And what seperates Donald from a lot of prospects in the state is that he already has his head on striaght. He will get in no trouble and he will be the hardest worker in the locker room. There are a lot of Linebacker prospects running around this state, but none are more college ready than Donald. I would love to see him wearing Orange, but any school that gets him knows they are getting a stud. He's in the 5 Star preview for Unapproved Website. They just dont throw that ranking around.

  13. As much as I would love to see Donald in orange and white, just think about the defensive backfield Ole Miss would have with Willis and Donald. Then Donald would be the heir apparent and just take over when Patrick starts playing on Sundays instead of Saturdays.

Willis will be gone when Donald gets there he is a senior this year. But Ole Miss will take Detris also. I know a lot of people say Det ris is not D-1 caliber, but Coach sees something in him that a lot of people dont, and he is going to offer the younger Willis.

  14. yes they clocked him at 6.41. it is true. he can run!!!

He does have some speed. I think he's going to have a decision like Milligan at the end of his senior year. He could very easily be a CB or Saftey at the next level in addition to roaming the outfield for some one.

I would love to know what Deshaun Smith from Lexington runs in the 60. That kid can fly.

  15. Does anyone have the official ruling? I have seen it happen too many times, but it seems like every time the umpire has a different view of the rule. I would really like to know what it says in the rulebook but I can't find it. Anybody got a clue?

I agree. There is a different rule for each ump.

I even seen this happen in the WCWS this weekend. I would like to know the official rule also.

  16.

What other high schools in the area were available and not used?

I think most people that make the trip would prefer a closer proximity to the rest of the games to make it easier to see other teams play.

    Come on Vg,

Do you not expect the fling to make its way to Jackson. They will have a brand new 17 field complex and Pringles Park for a championship game. They have always had the tennis and track and field. I think there is no way the fling doesnt find a homw in Jackson.
