  1. Because some of your observations show an altered state of mind or lack of knowledge about the Middle Tn football. If you did...you would be saying...man we are going to have trouble with them.....that's just the facts. Besides the game film you watched was a blowout. Besides, you just joined Coacht a week ago....what could you know.

Thats the reason I did join to get a better overall knowledge of all Tennessee sports programs. But I know football...point blank. I think the two teams match up well, I dont care what part of the state they're from. The only team that I dont care for from Middle Tennesse is Beech Co. You dont have be concerned about when I joined, I havent been living in a box and just now started learning about football last week. Some people actually go out and go to games other than thier old highscool, some poeple also watch game tapes of teams in West and Middle Tennessee. Some people actually played highschool and college ball. Matter of fact when I played we played Giles. Co and Page during the regular season, no big difference between us and them. Maybe you can tell me what I dont know on Middle Tennessee football.

  2. You threw that last little zinger in there about the schedules....since when does region 6 play a bunch of heavyweights.

    POOR Creekwood.....

Neither team played a tough schedule just look at the rankings. Creek Wood 55, Lexington 53. While you are looking at that look at the non region games too, Lexington played a tougher non region schedule its all there in black and white. I've said all year this is the weakest schedule that Lexington has played in years, on this website you can look back at the 2003 and 2004 schedules that ranked 10 and 19th respectivly. Just stating the facts man.

  3. Since Creek Wood does not have a chance in this game with Lexington (according to everyone on here), CW is not even going to bother getting on the bus for this game. CW might as well just stay home. CW will go ahead and let Lexington prepare for the Lipscomb / Cheatham winner instead. Someone call Ronnie Carter @ TSSAA and inform him that CW is not going to Lexington. Even though they have 2 running backs over a 1,000 yards (almost 3,000 total yards combined between both of them) and a QB that has thrown over 1,000 yards, and experienced seniors on both sides of the ball, CW is not going to make the trip. Good luck to Lexington and the winner of Lipscomb / Cheatham.

Creek Wood - 3 non region games, opponents combined record 7-23 , none going to the playoffs.

Lexington - 4 non region games, opponents combined record 19-24, 3 went to the playoffs. 1 still in the playoffs after knocking off AP #1 Dyersburg.

Paper means nothing, I'm looking forward to a great game its not often that you have 4 1000 yard rushers on 1 field. Creek Wood has a QB thats has thrown for over 1000, Lexington has a QB that has over 800 total yards and 17 touchdowns. Thats a lot of O under the lights friday night. But you have to admit Lexington should come out ahead just look at the schedules.

  4. Bulldog, have you seen Lexington play this year? Paper means nothing as you stated, but if you get a chance to watch Lexignton play you will know what all the buzz is about. I've watched a lot of Lexington football over the years, and this team could have beaten the team I was on, and thats saying a lot. When I was 10 years old I watched Lexington get beat by Brentwood Acadamy in the playoffs here at Tiger Satdium, and for a long time I thought that was the best highschool team that I had ever seen in this town. Although I was reluctant to crown these tigers because I dont think they play the level of competion that we played, I have to give them the respect they deserve. When 3 players are invited to attend the Nike Training Camp at Ole Miss, and 2 post top 10 40 times at thier postion, you have something special. This is the best Tiger team I have ever seen take the field.

  5. I've seen them both.

Granted Josh Vaughn was banged up when we played them & didn't see much

action but I don't think it matters.

Lexington has too much speed and any one of the three in the backfield is

capable of breaking a big play. They won't put 62 on the board this week, but

    they will score some points.

Defensively, Lexington isn't as good as they think they are. We exposed them

several times both passing & running. While they did have two picks for TD's they

gave up over 400 yards of offense & don't try to tell me it came on their reserves.

    It didn't.

A big thing they've got going for them is their kicker. Man he is as good as I've

seen in quite a while. Strong leg boomed most kickoffs into the endzone for

touchbacks. I'd love to know his FG range. Is he is a Lexington native...a name like Adamopolis makes me wonder ?

I'm sort of hoping he's an exchange student with a younger brother that would

love to come to Lewisburg next year. Heaven only knows we could use him !!!!

My pick: Lexington 45 Creekwood 22.

Tigerman he is good at 51 yards I've seen that. He is a Lexington native but he is Greek. His family owns a local resturant. Lexingtons defense is a bend but dont break defense I think you have seen that, but I'll tell you what, you guys have a ball player in Hightower. They should find ways to utilize more. Lexington had 3 picks, and If you have to pass they will pick you off. Hindsight is 20/20 but I would have found ways to get the ball in Hightowers hands.

  6. Haywood beat Trezevant. I'll be at the Cheatham-Lipscomb rematch. That Greenbrier vs White House game should be another classic as well. The Pearl-Notre dame game is probably the best 3A game on the whole schedule next week, but the problem for folks in the midstate is that the game is being played in Chattanooga. Creek Wood can beat Lexington is the come out and play physical. I saw Cheatham play Liberty last week and I'm here to say right now that if Liberty was the best 3A team on Lexington's schedule in the regular season, then that will change when they play Creek Wood next week. Vaughn and Steverson are both good hard runners.

Liberty might have been the best 3a team, but Lexington beat a very good Hardin county team. They came up a little short agianst Memphis East without Milligan. And we all know Memphis lost 1 game this year to 10-1 Melrose.

  7. Personally I like the old format where the top 2 went, but I think its bad for highschool football. When you only have the the top 2 teams going, the kids lose intrest in playing for a team that is 7-3 every year but misses the playoffs. In counties with a multiple of highschools, students want to go where they can win, and even though a team might be 7-3, if you dont make the playoffs you are not considered a winner. Thus, talented athletes find a way to make it to the the schools that are still in thier county but make it to the playoffs every year. A good example is Huntingdon and Mckenzie. They are 10 minutes apart, and if Mckenzie never made the playoffs because they were always the 3 seed, where would Drew Hayes and crew decide to go to highschool at. I hate the blow outs, but this is best.

  8. Lexington 35-21.

They have the 2 things that you cant coach, speed and God given talent. Creekwood has a good team but that backfield of Smith, Buckley, and Deberry may be the fastest and the most talented in 3a. And just a note, both of Lexington's QBs made the all region team this year, Smith first team all-region, Theadgrill second team.
