How in the world do you think coming on here and talking negatively of a great program is going to build the school pride you say you want your son's school to have?

You are being one of the crowd of nay sayers of parents who's kids are sitting the bench. Every team has them. I hope your son doesnt know you have this screenname on coachT and if he does, I bet he hasnt told anyone. I'm sure he would be quite embarrassed.

And understand this, mommy cant fix everything wrong in their childs world, nor should they. Learning to handle the tough stuff is what makes a boy into a man. That has nothing to do with playing time in a game. And further more, school pride means EXACTLY being part of the crowd, a crowd that has come together for a common cause. It does not mean being the whinner standing alone complaining like you are. You have shown no understanding of the concept TEAM. Your son was part of a team, and could have contributed much even as a non playing part. Did he? who knows, and at this point who cares. You have shown of what blood and character he comes from.

And not to step on any LC toes, you had a great season, and some good players, but ma'am, the "lot" and the "ton" of talent you say this team possessed is obsurd. You had some good average and hard working players. You had a few more that were a little better than that. Go see some HS games in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and California. You will see what a ton of talent really is and you will understand why with what you had to work with, Coach T did an amazing job at the helm.

I have no idea what you are talking about "Get to answer MY quarterback WHO ARE YOU?" I didn't bash anyone either. So I am not sure what you are talking about. Are you upset because I am the only one that says things when everyone else just whispers them up in the stands? These things are not just from one mouth, but many mnay mouths. I have never bashed anyone. I may have said that I felt someone else was better at a position than someone else, that isn't bashing, it is my OPINION. I am allowed to have one. I hate to tell you, but you WILL hear that every day somewhere at work, or in college, for the rest of your LIFE. There is someone better than me doing something and it doesn't bother me...its life. Coach T is a legend and playing for him was wonderful. Maybe some of the play calling wasn't the best but the coaches try just as hard as the players to win. I just hate seeing all the people that are suppose to support us come on here to talk about us. The players in the lockeroom this year were the closet bunch of guys I have been with since I have played at LC. When people come on here and talk about how we where three different teams and that we didnt like each other and didn't play as a team. It upsets us players because we know that is not true. Falcon1997 I know you played for LC and everything and its amazing how you as alumni for the Falcons can come on here and degrade our program. OUR PLAYERS WERE A TEAM AND VERY CLOSE THIS YEAR, which is why I believe that we won the region because we definately did not have outrageous talent but we did have heart...and if all of these people who think think they know everything were not in the lockeroom then there is no way of them knowing how we felt towards each other. We ALL respected Coach T because that is something he demands and he has not changed as far as that goes..

Truly a toss up...Im anxious to see who wins..Guess Ill go with Smyrna since they beat us..GOOD LUCK TO BOTH LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD!!

LC's biggest problem falls along the line that no longer do they have Falcon Pride; no longer do they work as a team; no longer does the coaching team truly care (time to move on?). LC is too political. We have a QB that shouldn't be starting but is because of last name, Sophomores that should be playing but aren't because they are Sophomores, and enough b.s. to fill the 'Pit'.

 

I am not sure when it happened. But somewhere along the line from where I graduated in the 80s and now, the kids lost respect in their school and school system. Without that respect, why should they play their best? If the coaching doesn't show how much it cares and is bland in behavior and unwilling to change, then why should the kids?

 

Best example of a change for the positive and someone bringing about school pride again to a football program is Moore County. Now there is an active football coach.

Mam i am or "was" i bet that makes you happy doesnt it the quaterback for the falcons and i am totally shocked at your comment that hurts me...I guess i should be sitting on the bench while all of the other good quaterbacks play right...and my last name SHELTON has nothing to do with it i really wish you would give me your name but you are probably too big of a coward to do that...At the beginning of the year we set a goal as a team to bring the tradition back to LC football we won the region and we accomplished alot things people like YOU im sure would not have gave us a chance to do..The biggest reason their is no LC pride is because people like you undermine everything as we as players and the coaches do.. You have no idea what it is like to wear a jersey and play. You look at our jersey as probably jus a blue and white numbered shirt with falcons on the back. WE as players look at it and see year round work outs hot days at camp and running non stop but you would most definately not know wat that is like, and what makes it great to be able to put that jersey on is that no one is making us do those things to play the game we only do it because we love the game and we get nothing for playing highschool football. And if you believe i only start because of my last name and its political then you are truly out of touch with reality and LC football because everyone in the lockeroom knows that i am the best qb on the team and that i should be playing and I will be frank with you there were not any sophmores that were good enough to be playing. I bet you've probably come up to me after a game and said good job to my face then come here and type that about me and more importantly OUR TEAM. talking about me is fine if you really want to show your ignorance but about the team just goes to show WE WILL NEVER HAVE THE FANS SUPPORT IN LINCOLN COUNTY BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE LIKE YOU.. and if you dont know what its like to play the game and all the time it requires I would recomend you just supporting us and keeping your mouth shut instead of coming on to COACHT.COM to bash us where everyone can see it and i would really appreciate it if you would give me you name because i would love to say this to you face unlike your self but im sure you wont........

LC's offense is not that bad....As far as all the "smack" talking lets play the game before we talk..

I believe they are the best in their region because I know for instance their tb did not play against lc and they had the ball inside cc 20 several times but did not score.so I know Smyrna expects a tough game.

 

Smyrna knows from last year its one game at a time you win this one then worry about the next one.

LC has been perfect every game thier qb has played in as well he was hurt against Blackman.....and LC's defense is REALLY tough

when i played LC was my favorite field to play on i hope that people dont confuse the teams though...RIVERDALE is no LC although i did think this was there year to be pretty good again was i a year too early?

No you werent to early LC DID NOT PLAY like they are capable and i agree Blackman may getting their hopes to high not to take any thing away from them im a huge LC fan but i agree Riverdale more than likely will be tougher

shelton or no shelton...LC was too slow...and lacked enough athletes for a chance...one monkey don't run no show...shelton did not do it by himself last year...he had some studs around him...and together...they did it...he did not have those kind of guys around him this year...

 

blackman may get waxed by riverdale this friday...but this year they beat lincoln count 19 of 20 times and the score is worse than it was

 

just like last year...you guys smacked blackman in the teeth...because you were no doubt the better team...better athletes...stronger...etc....etc...

Ok I know Blackman won at the PIT but in my mind it would not have been like that if LC's QB did not get hurt bacause the back up QB is LC's best WR and he also starts at FS so we lost him at both positions when Shelton got hurt. I know Blackman had a good team but LC's offense runs around Shelton and he basically beat Blackman his Soph. year by him self on his first carrer start throwing for 200 yards and 2 TDS and runing for 100 yds. and 1 TD. But i take nothing away from Blackman they played a really good game but I wish Shelton wouldn't have gotten hurt cause i feel it would've been closer and maybe a different outcome. BUT WITH ALL THAT TO SAY IT SHOULD BE A GREAT GAME BETWEEN THE WARRIORS AND THE BLAZE. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS!! My prediction is Riverdale will win

Yes I remember Marcus Fox is his name and he is doing fine now. Im pretty sure he is going to a community college somewhere in Alabama but not playing football.

Region 3 5A is the weakest region in the state. Just look how they did last year in the playoffs. Here are my predictions for this region along with the record and how far I think each team will advance in the playoffs.

 

Cookeville 9-2 Lose in 2nd round to Smyrna but a playoff win none the less over Lavergne

Lincoln County 7-4 lose in first round to Oakland

Coffee County 4-7 lose in first round... again to Smyrna

Franklin County 4-7 lose in first round to Riverdale but at least you made the playoffs. Good thing you're in region 3.

 

Region 4 5A is too tough, but look on the bright side. In Region 3-5A all you have to win is 2 region games and your in the playoffs. And 3-7 will be good enough to take third. Getting in the playoffs aint as hard as it use to be.

Hey Bud just in case you didnt know Lincoln County has won a lot of games against Region 4 5A and Oakland hasnt beat Lincoln Co. in a while. Region 4 5A is not too tough its just that Smyrna and Riverdale are tough because those are the only 2 teams LC has lost to in the past couple of years

I have been hearing that Chris Shelton from Lincoln County has visited Mississippi State, Marshall, and MTSU this past month he is a very talented QB as well guys.........

I believe Lincoln County's best days are way behind them. The program is a mere shadow of its once famed glory. There is very little mojo left in the PIT. It is a shame that Coach Thompson will not be able to go out at the top of his carear. He is truly a great man and coach. But the facts are nothing has changed in a program that was once on top in the 80s and early 90s, ranked in the county multiple times. They won 3 state titles in the first 14 years of the schools history. But what was good enough then is no longer good enough. LC traveled to Pratteville in 1990 and beat the #1 team in Alabama. At the time the two programs were very comparable. Pratteville just beat Hoover for the title. Lincoln County has had one good year in the past decade. However, Pratteville has made unreal facility upgrades. The LC community expects a 1st class program on a 3rd class budget. Lincoln County has been lucky to keep Coach Thompson all this time. The system has the worst pay in the area. And when they lose one game no one comes back. It is like the people of Lincoln County just don't care anymore.

You are so right i couldnt agree more but when the kids come off the field saying that the other team was calling there plays at the line of scrimmage the whole game maybe it is time for coach thompson to give it up he is a great coach and a great man but when the other team knows what you are going to run the whole game i would say it would be very hard to win...and its not like LC didnt have enough talent this year to make it to the state i mean they beat smyrna pretty bad in their spring scrimmage and i know it was in the spring but it has to count for something.....

Don't expect Lincoln County to be THAT good. They will probably still win the region, but they lost a lot of their better talent to graduation.

 

Add to that their best player, Moran (LB/FB) , is rumored to be going to Marshall County to play for Don Thomas.

Your the type of person who needs to never make a post again LOL TRUST ME MORAN IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.I KNOW. Lincoln Co. should be pretty good next year they have good players coming back like MORAN! at FB/LB and Shelton at QB and a few others that will step up Lincoln Co. will be better than people think.....

Ramsey is a senior this year. Shelton is the QB and Ramsey is the RB. Look for both players to have a big night against WC they are a great combination in the backfield together....

ramsey looked really good he was very hard to bring down moran was flying all over the place as usual but what suprised me the most was the shelton kid he has really stepped his game up LC should be a very good team

wingman10 is right Shelton can throw the ball very well and is shifty and quick and intelligent...the kid is pretty good
