Sorry man but I have to be with ghs coaching staff fan. I think your far off from your comments. I personally have heard coach duncan bad mouth coach crumbley to many people. He has done it since she has been here and will continue to do it. I know people that know her and they know she never uses those words either. You really have your description of her totally wrong. In fact you sound like your describing Coach Duncan himself. If you have a big problem with her then maybe you should go talk to her in person. Maybe you see some things she doesn't and you might be able to help her out!

Also, you refuse to address the fact that what she just did getting those two boys suspended is completely rediculous and it falls in line with her character.

I am a parent of one of the "NO TALENT" girls and I must say, that's pretty low to be trashing the players personally. Storey and Fender = Formiddable at the Post! (These are just Sophs by the way)

Makayla Neas = Another Strong Guard and Demon on Defense (also just a Soph)

I should have made it clear that the girls playing are talented. I didn't mean their aren't any good players. I was referring to the big division one talent players they have had in the past by saying that talent is gone because their are no more megans, nakeishas, nicoles coming through. Didn't mean any offense to the current players as they are talented players.

Sorry dood but you have no clue as to the truth! Its amazing they let people post on her to bad mouth or bash individuals, and those who monitor this should not allow that to happen. This poster has never had anything good to add to a post on any of the threads.

 

No need for anyone to get on here and really explain what type of coaching staff the Lady Devils have. Those who are associated with the program know what type we do have! Unfortunately we have people on here that try to ruin an individuals image without knowing the truth! It just happens that the punishment for both boys and girls involved was the same. The punishment for the boys involved was the same as the girls involved. So to cry and complain about that is not very smart.

Yeah its a real great staff besides crumbley. Anyone who knows anything about basketball can attend a game and see that she has no idea what she is doing. I understand that the punishment should be the same for all those involved but the thing about it is is that they made it by ok. The superintendent had no idea they watched and they weren't going to be in trouble. It was not until Coach Crumbley went and made the extra effort to make sure that the superintended KNEW they watched. I mean if I was Coach Duncan I wouldn't even be able to look at her. Its like she wants the boys to do bad because she isn't having a good year herself. I mean who does that. What coach goes and tells on a fellow coaches players not to the coach but to the head man in charge that is an absolute low blow and its rediculous she would do that to coach duncan. I mean anyone who didn't know either one of them and heard that story would immediately think she must not like him. Which she definately should as much help as he has given her good lord. I think that shows her character right there. Back to the staff....yea the staff is fine its just her. I mean her mouth gets her in trouble and its going to continue to get her into trouble. She has had numerous numerous technicals two which this season costs them the game. The head coach gets ejected with the game on the line under a minute to go? When is that ever heard of from a winning respectable coach. She even had to talked to by the AD Randy Richards for her conduct and language abuse in the locker room. I mean its F this F that it is completely unprofessional. When has anyone EVER heard of an entire team being suspended for a DISTRICT TOURNAMENT game. I mean those girls have worked all season only to have to compete for a third place finish because their coach doesn't have control over some of the players or the rest of the team watching. I mean the whole team was watching where is she at? I hope she was held up by someone telling her to get her act together. I'm telling you as long as she is here your gonna continue to see Greeneville girls record drop and drop. This is only the beginning thats why I'm telling her to get out now. Greeneville is getting ready to drop divisions and South Greene gonna get hold of her every year. Mark my words I'm tellin ya the talent is gone and now the only thing you can win with is a coach who knows how to develope players and unity and she can do neither one.

I've heard two stories on the East point guard. One is Meghan Blayock (sp?) and the other one is that tiny freshman from I can't remember where. Whoever it is, I think the IMAC has about the best points in the state. I would put Fanney, Buda, and Nelson up against anybody in the state.

It kills me to have to get on here and say I told you so but thats what I am going to have to do. I told everyone that coach crumbley is a joke of a coach and this year has proved it. I told everyone she has no coaching ability and that she has simply been able to feed off the talent that bill mulhahan has provided to her through the middle school. Well i think its pretty ironic in that the players coach crumbley has now are either the first or second season after mulhahan left and look how its turned out. Greeneville is no longer a powerhouse which is typical of the last 4 years. The reason their no powerhouse is simply in the fact that coach crumbly doesn't have one ounce of coaching ability and she has showed that this season. The technical fouls and ejection she got earlier this year is an absolute joke. The fact that the team gets suspended for their involvement in a fight shows how much control she has. It's also pretty funny i think that neither jordan short nor the sophmore point guard names were mentioned in the suspension for WATCHING the fight until coach crumbley talked to alshie, brought their names up and said they should be suspended at which time they were. What happens???? Greeneville boys get beat in 4 ots to jeff county thus ending their season. It has always been clear that coach crumbly tried to get ideas from coach d and to copy some of the things he does because she has no idea her self but what she did with alshie is a new time low. Just because she can't control her team she is going to take a low blow at coach duncan like that? Its rediculous. She has a terrible attitude, her mouth and verbal abuse of language is completely inappropriate for use around high school girls. I hope coach crumbly gets to read this cause I'm gonna tell you what you need to do. This will be a career saver so listen up....you need to put your coaching resume out right now and get the word out there your looking for a job because the absolute unbelievable amount of talent(not your coaching) you have had the past 4 or 5 years has allowed you to post a very good record on your resume...so get out now because if you stay for 3 or 4 more years your record is gonna get all messed up because your good players are gone and your not a good enough coach and make them players and by then after your record approaches 500 its gonna be tough to get a job somewhere else so get out now.

For the past three years she has never sit in on Coach Duncan's practices. When her practice is done she is headed home to be with her family. And for some person like you to get on here and bash her and talk about her vulger language is nonsense. Why don't you be a man and come talke to me about these issues. East Tennessee basketball is the same it has been for the past ten to fifteen years. No weaker and no stronger. Since you have such a big mouth please feel free to come talk to me anytime!! All I speak is truth. For you to come on the forum and say that she doesn't use vulgarity in the locker room and has never sat in on coach duncan's practice is absolutely obsured. I have personally seen and heard her do both. She then attempts to copy what coach d does which I understand because he IS a coach that knows what he is doing but its to no avail. Ask any former player about the way she speaks and they will most definately tell you. If I'm not mistaken she was just approached by the AD randy richards about her conduct with the girls so don't make her out to be all great and holy. Everyone on here talks about Greeneville plays tough defense and that is coached so it has to be coach c. NO its not coach c. Yes Greeneville girls play hard but the reason is Greeneville girls are used to winning. They know what it takes to play tough defensive and be successful. How do they know this? Well almost all girls that play now played for coach bill mulhahan who was a great coach. HE instilled the fundamentals on defense and playing tough. His record at the middle school speaks for itself. ANYONE and I mean ANYONE who had played the game in college like coach c could have done what she has done with these teams. She doesn't know how to coach she was a player and anyone who had that knowledge could have came in and did what she has done...anyone.

I would like an answer to my two questions about breaking the spirit and Greeneville getting behind. I stated many facts and gave you an opportunity to dispute what you have said.

She is a joke of a coach. Anyone who speaks to high school girls the way she does should not be in a position of authority over them. I have spoken with players who have graduated under coach crumbley; and although I have never heard negative comments about skeen or murray, I can't say the same about the head coach.

Coach Crumbley is an absolute joke and has been since she got the Greeneville job. She has had a surplus of talent since the day she walked through the door. Anyone who knows anything about basketball can clearly see she has no idea about the game. She sits in on Coach Duncans practicing attempting to get some clue about how a real coach does things. If you listen to what she has to say on the sidelines, or if your lucky enough to hear what she has to say in the locker room, its clear she is an idiot. In between the vulgarities that comesfrom her mouth in the locker room at half time, are shouts of nonsense. She has been to the state tournament but lets face it, east tennessee girls basketball is weak and that why she has one. None of the wins should be credited to her coaching. If you had a chance to see Coach Berkey you could obviously see that was a coach with basketball knowledge. Crumbley played the game but doesn't understand the game. Nicole and above good players have been the Greeneville program and it has nothing to do with her coaching. Think I'm wrong, sit in on one of her practices and see for yourself. I have seen plenty and she doesn't know a dang thing.

Yea and we heard how DB was going to play with Greeneville. The only time they were close to Greeneville was during warm-ups and that is because the game hadn't started. Why don't you go on to the spring sports message boards cause DB isn't playing basketball anymore, kinda like this, TribeAllDaWay to the house, cause thats where they are.

To my knowledge, when Greeneville played Craigmont, two of Craigmont's top players were not eligible until January, Street and McCulley, who are 6'8 and 6'5...

Hamilton is tough

 

Everyone knows about 6'8 Williams and 6'8 Watkins, the two senior D-1 signees. But Hamilton also has High Major Junior prospect 6'5 Devyan Hunter, and a pair of D-1 guards in Myron Strong and Broderick Gilchrist. Hamilton can also bring 6'5 Sr Wing paul Hagler off the bench, along with diminutive sparkplug G Pete McIntyre. This team has size, guard play, outside shooting, and athleticism...

 

Hamilton will be too much for Greeneville, though I am looking forward to seeing Wiggens...

Everyone knows about their division 1 prospects, but the best player on the court isn't going to be playing for Hamilton, he will be playing for Greeneville. Antwaine Wiggins will go to a D-1 school most likely in the ACC, which puts colorado or San Fran to sham. Im anxious to see how he does against some real competition because it is possible he will put on a show. The Devils might not win but i promise people will remember who he is.

Bill will do a good job of getting his kids ready to play. Always has, always will. But I doubt this one will be decided on coaching.

 

But playing in the IMAC and Region 1 is a whole other ballgame compared to Memphis ball.

 

Hamilton is very, very good. They could probably just roll the ball out there and go at it and wind up 34-0.

 

Greeneville will fight, but it won't be enough.

Im glad everyone on here is a basketball genius and everything, but if you look at scores then you have to take a look at this. Greeneville plays memphis craigmont at a tourney in nashville and loses by seven or eight without wiggins. They had the game won and blew it by fouling. Jackson central merry plays craigmont last wed and beats them 53 to 48. Jackson central merry plays hamilton tonight and loses by twelve. I agree the athleticism comparison wont even be close, but i promise you that hamilton hasnt seen any defense like the greene devils play all year. Yes hamilton is number one in tennessee, and yes they are the sixth in the nation, but i wouldnt completely count out greeneville, wiggins is as good a prospect and player as anyone that hamilton puts on the court.

Does Greeneville have a couple of backup goals for when these Panthers come up there and give it one of the Shaq-a-bust-a-glass jammers ? Isn't the game in an elementary school ? How many people does it hold ? Will the Panther throng need to camp out to get in ?

Trust me if it can handle the dunks that Antwaine Wiggins puts on it, it can handle anything that any of your powell players can attempt. Wiggins is the sickist jumper in east tennessee, as you will soon find out.

Alcoa should win with homecourt advantage, but you fellas better keep someone on Donahue all night or he'll go for 40.

Alcoa will blow South Greene out of the water. They have no chance against the type of athletes that Alcoa presents. Donahue can play but there is no way he will drop forty on Alcoa. My prediction is that he doesnt get more than 15. He is a good player against teams that don't play defense. When a team plays good solid defense on him he isn't anything but an average player. Also, darius probably wont make a shot all game or even get close. He seems to have a really hard time scoring if the team doesn't play a zone and has good athletes. Put Warren on Kyle and you will beat them by thirty or more.

Greeneville fans owe a debt of gratitude to the Central students. They were as enthused as the Greeneville students during the game with SH and added a lot to the atmosphere. It was neat to see students from 2 schools mingling and cheering for the same team (G'ville).

Im a fan in the Greeneville student section and I want to give a big thank you to the Sullivan Central fans. Your our image of what a student section should be like. We really appreciate you staying and helping us knock off the toppers. We also know what it means for us to give DB a good butt kicking and that is exactly what they will get. We would be more than welcome to have you all come down and help us cheer. I mean i really like that cheer....something like "Put em in a Tee-Pee burn em, burn em....lol...Congrats on a great season and team.

Well it didn't quite turn out as i had hoped but it was a win. The refs were horrible, Buchanan, Hess, and McCoy got beat up inside and nothing was ever called. Phil had 9 3-pointers, but an ok defensive night and no offense but his passing was bad. All season long we have done very well by working the ball into our post players, but tonight it was like they didn't exist. Hess, Buchanan, McCoy, and Dinkle all made some very nice passes tonight and had alot of assists from what i could tell. It will be a tough game on Thursday against DB, we will have to play as a team like we did against Science Hill. There can be no ball hogging and there can be no careless mistakes, we have to move the ball and work it inside or work for the high percentage shots because there will be no freebies on Thursday. i know we can win, DB is a good team but when we play together we are a much better team than they are. Tonight are problems were ball movement and careless mistakes. But we did play a pretty good game. I wish the Cougars the best of luck in the tournament, i will be there to support you all. so put those indians in a tee pee and burn them. Go Cougars!!!

No what was horrible was central's defense. It was an absolute joke. How do you give up 70 points to a team that has won four games all year? You can say the refs but they dont make that much of a margin. All central is worried about is getting the ball back so they can go down the court and jack another three. Central does shoot well but good luck against a team that plays defense and will tempo them, cause they haven t seen one all year.

Never,never in my 16 years of living have I seen a game like that.

 

I might not be the biggest fan of Throp but the kid is ice,Sensabaugh played amazing too,big players step up in big games and their were 5 big time players on the court tonightu,Throp,Sensabaugh,Hess,Buchanon,and Weatherford.

 

I'll tell ya though,Central has enough guts to fill a swimming pool.They crawled out of so many situations that you thought it had to be over.They got a great performance from their bench to,with Mccroskey,Baker and Mccann giving Central some crucial minutes.There wasn't a person sitting in the last 20 minutes or so.Also thanks to the South fans for cheering on another county school,and that dunk Willey had was sick.

He hasn't been fired at two places prior to this one moron. He has coached at the D-1 level and also at the professional level. He scored only scored 7 points but they basically decided the game. He hit a fade away three pointer in the corner to tie the game. Oh yea, he was injured. Everyone is quick to point out the points he scores but since he is beginning to get fully recovered, lets look at his total statistics. He scored 15 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 3 assists in the first game at Chattanooga Red Bank, STILL SLIGHTY INJURED. He then becomes healthy and scores 23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 5 assists, against Morristown West. Again against Chattanooga Red Bank, 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 assists. He isn t a very good player. Since your such a basketball genius why dont you tell the coach out at South Greene when they play that 3-2 matchup zone(cause they cant guard Greeneville in a man) to let Wiggins catch it at the elbow all night and let him shoot since he only scored 7 the game you saw. I look for Wiggins to completely dominate the week rebel defense.

Yeah your right Greeneville is 3A and South Greene is 2A, but wait, South Greene only has about 200 fewer students than Greeneville. So the saying that Greeneville is suppost to win isnt because class size its becuase of the fact that Greeneville has a better program. In all reality Greeneville should play in class 2A based on student base. Its also funny how you suddenly stopped denying the coon chant. The chant happened and the race card is played because the hill billy hicks of rock batter and South Greene dont want to join us here in 2006.

The Race Card? Hoosiers your wrong because the coach of Greeneville High School called the pricipal of South Greene about them saying the chant in which Mrs.Bowman said she was truly sorry. Why would she apologize for a chant that never happened? If you dont believe they were saying it we will get you a dub of the tape in which the chant is clearly evident.

No scare....our guys are going to have to learn to quit fouling. When the opposing team scores over half their points from the foul line, and we miss over 50% of our foul shots, then the game should be close.

Well I heard about the Johnson County score and it seems to me the Greene Devils aren't as good as all the hype around them. They have the chance to be a good team however they have a long way to go. Losing to Johnson County should show them and everyone else who thinks Greeneville is state bound to come back to earth. They have a long way to go. And that game wasn t a fluke. The gatlinburg-pittman game was close all they way through. Pittman is horrible. The mark of a good team is with bad teams they wipe the floor with them, not play down on there level. They have a long way to go.
