  1. What you need to do is evaluate if your QB is better than Brentwood Bruins or Franklin Rebels QB. Both are very good QB's with high passing and touchdowns throughout this season. Your answer will come from that evaluation.
  2. I would have thought high school football game in the Germantown area between Ridgeway and Germantown would have been humongous. That is not enough to fill up some of the churches around here on Sunday. If that is the case, you could be in for a surprise. Both the Franklin-Ravenwood and Brentwood-Ravenwood playoff game attendance was estimated at between 8000 and 9000 respectively. Of course, I have no knowledge the accurate count, just based on police estimate rumors. Based off those numbers, I would have to figure around 55 percent split for Ravenwood. Although the stands were packed, you couldn’t move from the entrance to around the field to the bleachers. It will be nice to have some walking room around the field and the concession stand when ya’ll come calling.
  3. Ridgeway, Are ya’ll coming to Ravenwood next week or sitting it out in the toasty confines of home? Just wondering, I hate to see empty bleacher from the visiting teams. It means they have no team spirit. When you get to this level, the team fans should show-up in force. P.S. Watch your speed around Dickson on I-40, otherwise you might be late for kickoff. If you get off at 840 instead of 440 on 40, you will not make it. As you pass through Nashville, Metro's latest police chief has turned the police from a neighborhood city patrol into the Metro Highway Patrol. Fix those broken tail light, don't follow too close, obey the posted speed, and you'll be fine. Cool Springs Galleria is close by. Due to the holiday traffic on Moores lane Friday, take left on Concord Road exit of I65 instead, right on Wilson Pike beside the market, take left past the third traffic light into the REAL RHS, you can't miss it.

  5. Why would the Green Wave start the season off with a beating? It could upset the confidence of the team by taking a beating off the bat. The Green Wave coaches wouldn't go for it. You might stand a better chance by taking on the 4th seed from 5A Region 6 from the previous year. It's too close to pick a winner at this time.
  6. Did you ever get a look at T.C. “New Shoes”? Very distracting, defensive players can’t stop watching them.
  7. Yeh! One just one big happy family in Brentwood. We are all friends, having fun, and enjoying each other company before and after the game. Win or Lose
  8. Seems like you know more about Ridgeway than other posting to date. What are the main offensive sets if they are using the fullback? I-back formation with two to three wide outs and TE? Do they use the TE's? Do they go four or five wide during the game at times to keep the defense from stacking the box with seven to eight players? You mention kickoffs returns aren’t happening. Are the kicks always in the end zone or beyond? What is the field goal range of the kicker? If Ridgeway has the team speed as indicated, have they return any punts or kickoffs for TD?
  9. Enough said! Onward to the next matchup when Memphis Ridgeway comes calling for Ravenwood next week.
  10. Mr. Buckeye, interesting comments but you’re about as far off as your prediction. If you lived in Williamson County, you would not only know about each High School Football team but these players have been playing against each other since the TYFA Youth Leagues. Some of these Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, and Centennial players have been playing since 5 years old and sometimes on the same team. If you are a local Williamson County football sport enthusiast, you can watch each other High School game on two of the local cable channels during the week. I’ll have to say the seventeen posting you made are quite impressive. My little ole single posting must be pittance to yours. I didn’t know if anyone really cares. If someone else reads this, they may think you and I are the same person, trying to start something. As far as the game goes: 1) All things are not equal, what made you think that? What equal about this game? Both teams have strength and weakness. Does anybody out there think these teams are equal? 2) Brentwood beat Ravenwood last year in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Franklin beat Brentwood in the 3rd round of the playoffs last year to go onward to the champion ship game. If playoff experience is all that important, Franklin should have beat Ravenwood last week. With your thinking, Riverdale will win the 5A championship since they have the most playoff experience, all things being equal which is clearly not the case. 3) It’s going to be a cold, cold night. The field will be frozen and slick from the frost. It will be difficult to concentrate due to the cold hands and feet. As with any game played this time of year, it will come down to the will of the players to overcome these conditions. It’s not the time of year to be playing on road. Advantage Ravenwood
  11. Coach Crawford @ Brentwood High is going to love Bruins06 for the comment made earlier, if he's really #6. Real football players do it on the field and not on message boards or radio talk shows. What does #6 or anybody else care about an excited game replay announcer? They get excited as everyone else in tight games. So What? This game is played on the field. Which means the Bruins players minds are not totally focus on getting ready for the game. It could be the nervous goat syndrome or something. You would think football players would be studying during this time instead of goofing off on a web site message board (note the 10:47 AM time on the #6 message). Game advantage goes to Coach Rector @ Ravenwood High. I don’t see his players on this message board. New sign to hang-up in the football locker rooms at High Schools across Tennessee! “DO IT ON THE FIELD, NOT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD”
