  1. LA will be alot better than anyone expected this year. Mainly because Coach Melton will not accept defeat. They will be playing ball like no one has seen from LA in a long time. They are going to be really, really good in the next several years, as they have talent for a lot of years to come. Anyways, good luck to the Cats and to Coach Melton this season.

  2. You're right. I've seen these kids. LOADS OF TALENT! Dunn - watch him.

Livingston Academy definitely has some great freshmen. Devon Ramsey, Clint West, Will Peterman, Jordan Everly, may have some more. But CHASE DUNN is probably the most promising as of now, even though he's short, the kid can ball. He will definitely be something to watch in the future. Clay County also has some good freshmen, one of which is Tyler Edwards. He should turn out to be good. The middle tennessee area has alot of talented freshmen classes and should be something to watch in the coming years.

  3. Van Buren has beat Hermitage Springs tonight. At the Half it was a 3 point game (25-22). Ended up being 58-47 Van Buren on top. It was a 6 point game with 1 min 30 seconds then H.S. started fouling because VB was staleing. H.S. played very good on defense shutting down VB's big inside game, but VB shot lights out from the 3. #12 and #32 couldn't miss including banking one in from the corner.

Clay County will have to play very hard to stop VB this year because they are all around very good. Big strong posts with very good perimeter shooters. Anyways was a very good and intense game. Hermitage Springs only commited 9 T.O's and went 11-16 from the Free Throw line + held VB to only 4 offensive rebounds. H.S. played very good just VB shot lights out tonight from the 3.

Van Buren County beats Hermitage Springs 58-47 (11 point good game)

Okay, first of all, they beat Hermitage Springs by 9, no disrespect to HS, but how do you get fomr HS to Clay County. If I remember right Van Buren couldn't beat Clay with Rigsby, that makes me wonder why they could beat them without him. Especially since it's an almost identical team. The only team that should really beat Clay County this year is CLAY COUNTY. If they play ball I'd like to see anyone in the district have the team to give them a game.Lol.

  4. WOW, it's kind of tough to predict who is going to be in the state tournament after the PRESEASON GAMES, huh? Seems like you all are counting on no one getting hurt, quitting, and no teams destroying theirselves. Hope it's going to be as close this year as everyone says it will between all these teams. I'd say as of right now, anyone has a shot! I'd say we should let them play a couple of games before we give someone the Gold Ball.

  5. Lol. Yeah, the only thing there is he does it when the team is not that good. There were several times that year that he could have done that, but I only remember one where he actually did. Like I said the game was pretty much at hand by that time. Plus, with a team like Celina has this year, or at least should have, they shouldn't have aproblem showing effort, especially with their schedule. The only team I think they might have difficulty with is Livingston, maybe Gainesboro, haven't seen them play. No one else should give them that mush trouble, unless they play some good teams at the Christmas tournaments. Anyways Good Luck to Clay County!!

  6. Livingston Academy has a very, very talented group of young freshmen. They will be very tough this year, and as far as the players getting down about little playing time, if they're not there for the team, the team probably doesn't need them. Like I said LA will have a very good year, but this will be a building year in a way. Their best years are still to come at Livingston Academy. Once these freshmen are juniors, maybe even as sophomores, they will be extremely tough to beat. Anyways good luck to Livingston Academy and especially to Coach Richard Melton, who is going to do an awesome job this season, as well as in the future.
  7. As far as the freshmen at Celina go, how much playing time are they going to get this year? They'll lose alot after this year, and they are going to need some experience next year, especially in order to hang with teams like Pickett, which will be good next year as they are returning alot of good players. Clay has alot of freshmen, but are those boys going to get any playing time or are they as experienced now as they will be next year. That could also be a dumb question because with a team as stacked as Celina's is this year, they'll probably get alot of playing time in blow out games.
