Irishfan1, Shocking as it may seem,the final outcome was not. East Robertson has stepped up their game from the past couple of weeks,and gained momentum going into Tuesday night's game. "Defense" has been the key factor for East girls. They score alot of points,but they also give up alot. They worked hard and used some switch defenses to throw Heritage of key at certain points of the game. Neither of the two teams shot the ball greatly. As far as tension goes,there wasnt much to look at. Once East girls surpassed the score to up by 20,Heritage girls seemed to of just gave up. Chelsea Hannah did have an ankle injury,and did sit out for the CA game,but coming into the East game,she was good as new,nothing seemed to be bothering her other than the fact East girls shut her down and she dosent seem to surpass confidence when she isnt scoring like she is used to. She is a dominate player and will out rebound anyone If you leave her alone. Tough player. Heritage girls didnt do too much defensively other than a 3-2 ,more of a 2-3 zone and a press that wasnt their best. Good luck to both Heritage and Houston County in Friday's game. East girls will travel to Nashville Christian Friday night and resume Pope John Paul II the following week at home on Tuesday,then travel to Houston County Friday,and White House High School at home on Saturday,long 2 weeks for the East Robertson guys and girls.

Girls 57-29 Both games were not even close at all. The grls were behind one point by the end of the first quarter 11-10...and then came out on fire,pulling away quickly. Heritage could not keep up. East's defense was unstoppable,keeping both leading scorers for Heritage under 8pts. Great job ladies. Congrats on the boys for also pullin out a big win as well. Nice to see both teams going home with wins on the same night.

Yes,very true statement. The game could have gone either way,but the Lady Bison of STATION CAMP proved the best and proved to come out ontop. Although the Lady Eagles had a lead that seemed to take off,the SCHS girls fought back to win. It was a very good game for those who missed it. I was actually a fan supporter of the Lady Bison,sat and fought through the tough Westmoreland crowd as well,tough group! Before I preceed on,some think the Lady Eagle had good sportsmanship,I didnt see any of that prior to the championship game. I heard some of the starting 5 talking about how they are better than SCHS,and will kick their a%$,that point guard Kayla Buchanan looked like a leprocaun,that Ellyn Unger wasnt good at all.....not very good sportsmanship If you ask me. But thats the game of basketball I suppose. But be sure TO walk the walk,especially If your going to talk the talk. Congrats to Unger on MVP,she played tremendously well in the tournament,and a big ovation for point guard from Westmoreland,great shooter. And to Jones as well,her game has stepped up and will be hard to handle in 08'. Here's how i think it will go: First Round: NCS beats East Lit in a close game with Teasley pitching WH-Heritage beats CA in a blowout East beat Houston Co. pretty easily Jo Byrns zooms through this game Second Round: NCS beats WH-Heritage in a low low scoring game East beats Jo Byrns with Clinard on the mound Monday Winners Bracket: NCS beats East somewhere like 7-6, 6-4 Losers Bracket: WH-Heritage beats Jo Byrns to put them out with Hill on the mound East beats Heritage in a blow-out Championship: East comes back and beats NCS both games to get revenge from last year

I hear that Jo Byrns has a pretty good team this year but when i saw them i thought they only have 3, maybe 4 guys that can actually hit, it wasn't because Clinard was pitching it was the same with Coffee to so dont' give me that excuse Bigtuck4242. WH-Heritage has 2 pretty good pitchers but i think that our guys will take care of them today and tomorrow if they play THEIR game! Good luck East!

I'm sure that Tuck's homerun was a 280 footer @ Jo Byrns so don't get big headed because you hit a tee ball home run. And Will couldn't win the game if they hit a ball to short stop and Hooper wasn't standing there to field the ball!

Well put Dave, i just got my boy Hoop's back, he just said something simple and you jumped all over him both tuck and jteasley. Yall all 3 are great players and just need to play and quit talking. East has some good players besides Will. He is just so good that he stands out above the rest to name a couple (Hooper, Coffee, Kahn, Long, Sneed, Pitt) those are 5 good senior ball players right there so get off my teams back. And to say East is a one man show just isn't right because I have been at games where Will go 0-3 and the rest of the guys come through so you can't say that, just no your facts before you get on here talking and like Dave said "PUT UP OR SHUT UP"

NeWbLuE, ER coach had went and got about 5 films of Van Buren playing the following teams: Eagleville,Forrest with some other teams. They have yet to press in those games,except in a game where they only pressed for about a good 2 minutes. Their point guard is heard to be very quick,quicker than anyone in 10A thus far,but she is out of control handling the ball,and dosent do a TREMENDOUS job on her left side when pressured,in film,she has foced many turnovers from that side of the floor,she is,however,very deadly when driving to the basket. They have about 3 good post players,2 ranging from 5'11",to one thats 6'1" Eagleville is decsent. They can hit the 3 ball good,and are very hard to stop with the hot hand. I do believe traveling and Heritage having being so good this year in their own gym,they will take this game unless they just arent on tonight. I dont think there will be a need for any box-n-one's or triangle-n-2's. Good solid defense can contain the scorebaord. Good luck to my girls tonight! Forrest is a sharp team,will be hard to stop when they are all on and doing well as a team. Although they are unbeatable,they are hard to stop. MTCS is good,not near as good as Forrest,are better in some cases than Van Buren,no matchup comparing them to Eagleville,whereas,they are tons better. True that. I dont think we are as weak as everyone says. We WILL find out tonight. Hey NeWbLue,perhaps you can lemme know how the Pats do tonight. Allregion, You never even read what I said. I was implying to myself when I said why post a score,and then stated what I thought. EVERYTHING on here is just a fact of opinion. Its gonna be a good region tournament I will say though,because I have heard 9A is COMEPLETELY different than 10A,that 9A's TOP 4 teams were alot better then 10A's TOP 4,which Idk,I havent seen any teams play from 9A,except Forrest,Eagleville,and MTCS. It must be true,because those top 3 teams are very good. But Heritage,ERHS,McEwen were good too,so Idk,Its just the matter of competition and stuff,I suppose. Of course,everyones gonna be pulling for their own district considering Its apart of their towns talk or whatnot. I think every team will do good. Considering East Robertson is about 3 districts over the state of TN from Van Buren,It's probably why you don't know much about them. They are a good team. Will be a good game On a side note: Good luck to WH-Heritage!

I agree. Good luck everyone. Nobody's throwing any dissapointment in your daughter's face. I said nothing but good things about her. And it was a previous post who said" Cary got hurt because of the ball/#22",that says it was a specific person's fault. WAY TO GO OUT and just blame someone. We all know what you mean. Like I said before when I posted earlier,NOTHING againt the HCHS girls,and even Cary,if you would like a recap about what I said about your daughter,check back at the previous post where I said nothing but good things. We all know shes a very good player. Not dissing or anything. I've played against her since a freshman too,and she does things we all wish we can do. Its skill and talent.

Bluesbrother, My fault. I didnt mean to talk about something not intended for the right topic. I got a chance to watch the East Lit vs. WH-Heritage game,from a parent filming the game for East Lit. I got the game from my cousin who attends that school. I saw the "rough" move brought on to Brandi Redding,I do say so myself,she is the cleanest player anyone will ever meet or play against.No matter how rough the game gets or how mean,she will be the 1st one to help an opposing player up,and the first one to shake your hand in the end. PERFECT example of good sportsmanship. I wish matters could of went better and the player who went after her was taken out of the game. I bet I counted at least 100 obsecene words,with gestures,pushing,shoving,hitting,punching,knock downs,EVERYTHING.
