From the games I've been to this year, cherokees student section creates a tremendous atmosphere, and this game is against the most important, in many of our minds, team on our schedule. Darren Haun of Cherokee will most likely be put on whoever looks to be the hottest from the line, and it is my opinion that Haun can shut down either of Volunteers shooting guards and deminish their main scoring attack: the outside. As it may be obvious to see by now, I believe this game will be won from the area of high percentage shots, down low. And if this is the case, Volunteer is in for a long night as I see it. Why Cherokee may lose? TURNOVERS. We cannot prevail with 23 turnovers a game as we were shown against Greeneville. Turnovers that were our own fault lost us this game, I hope it won't be the same case against volunteer. Also, Volunteer is on a winning streak, and we are on a two game losing streak. You may point out the different talents of the teams we played the last two games compared to volunteers, but it's alot easier to win whenever you've been doing it night in and night out. As a conclusion, if Cherokee can go into this game with the right mentality and limit their turnovers to a minimum, I don't foresee them having much trouble in soundly defeating the Falcons. Well, I wasn't able to make it to the Greeneville game tonight, but a 5 point loss against a team the caliber of Greeneville is impressive. Don't be surprised if the second string Cherokee boys play the majority of the 4th quarter. Chiefs by 15+

Cruel, please shut up with your ignorant posts. We have done nothing this year for you to talk like you do. Just because we've came out early and did fairly well doesn't give you the privledge of saying we will beat greeneville hands down. If we play near perfect basketball, have good defense and shut down wiggings, and maybe with some luck we might beat them. You not only make yourself look bad but Cherokee as a whole.

I don't foresee Greenevilles main attack to come from outside in this game. Our lack of big men to step up down low will cripple us. Brian Snow and Josh Williams are really our only weapons in the paint. However with sound fundamentals and tough defense we could put up a good competition in this game. Cherokee is a very hard place to play at, as Morristown West saw. Us playing at home is an added bonus. go chiefs.

What are your predictions for this game? So far cherokee has won the hardees, and haven't lost a game. I think cherokees tenacious defense will pose a problem, but I don't know if it'll win the game for them. If Brian David Snow can come out and continue to play as he has offensively, and brian milan has a good game all around, I could see an upset.
