I attended the Heritage vs Powell game last night. The game certainly got out of hand by the officials. The officials did not make the difference in the game because it seemed that Powell had one of their best games while Heritage had one of their worst of the season. Powell did shoot 47 free throws to Heritage's 23. The issue I had with the officials was the professionalism. Two of the officials were over on sidelines having their photos taken with a Powell player during the pre-game warm-up. This was very unprofessional of the refs. This did not make them look very good. All officials should be more professional and know better than to visit with fans and players pre game...the happy photo was a bit too much. Great season Lady Mountaineers!! Good luck to Powell and Farragut.

Heard Cait's surgery is Thursday. We wish you the best Cait!

Everyone is aware of the AE players who were injured. Parents as well as coaches of Heritage were right there with those players in the training room last night giving whater help and support they could. I hope these girls are ok and they are in our thoughts as well. The game was very physical and hats are off to both teams for their efforts. AE does have a good program and is well respected by Heritage.

Turtle....you must not have been at the game. AE did play well and nothing should be taken from them but to say that Heritage is nothing without Cait is just plain wrong!! The Lady Mountaineers were down when Cait went down and picked up their game taking the win....no home cooking calls. Many calls went against HHS also...the officiating was not the best for sure. Very disturbing that there are so many negative remarks made about Cait...some AE fans as well as bench personnel applauded and cheered when she got hurt...such a sad thing that adults would act in this way. Cait does not deserve that. She is a great player and has a work ethic that all athletes should look up to. It bothers me that fans...adults... and coaches would think this was an auspicious time to stand and applaud. As for the comment about wearing the orange....Cait is the Great and she will do just fine! Get well soon Cait....we love watching your game.
