Outside of the QB position does Westview have any real talent returning?
Is the QB going to stay?

Guess he wasn't up to the challenge of 7-3A......Next.
One would assume that "the challenge of 7-3A" had some to do with the decision to move home. In 7-3A you have to be able to play some defense and that is not really what he is good at. At Waverly he had the best athletes in his region. He could out score everyone. Probably not the biggest reason for leaving, only one man knows that. "Home" does have a certain allure.

Is the Westview job better, worse or the same as last time?
-
On the 1a/2a thread it appears he may be getting a raise?
-
According to multiple posters on the Camden thread. You will be in the market for a new coach?

I hope you figured it out. He is young but will be a great one in the long run. I just won’t say it on here cause it’s not my place.
According to BPM, what age range is young?

Does the team he is currently coaching still have a chance to win state this season?

I mean no offense. I for one appreciate your confidence in Peabody
Peabody by three scores. I like to kid folks. None taken.

You forgot to put ...ingdon at the end of those....
I just can't bring myself to utter such utterly distasteful words. This is also about time they typically choke. I really look forward to seeing them play Lake County though.

Hey @GeneralForrest care to crucify this lad like all of the others you do that thinks Peabody will get an easy win?
I take exception to the term lad.... I will get over it however.

If I did not live in the West part of TN, I would try to watch this game. Winner may win it all!
-
Choctaws win the message board war only (likely helped by imposter posters with red hanging in their closets). Patriots by ALOT
-
Peabody by a large amount

Hunt...... wins! Hunt...... wins! Hunt...... wins!

Lake County wins

Got a lot of respect for you as a poster and I’m sure your numbers are solid. Question is how could you possibly know what the tssaa would use as the cut off numbers for each class?? They haven’t released this info for 5 classes have they?? I may have missed something.
No sir. I simply divided classes equally by five based on 2018 numbers accounting for new schools that played in regions this year.
New public and charter schools opening all the time. Most appear to be small (less than 400). If they decide to field football teams that would likely push Milan up. All is pure speculation on my part.

In no particular order names I have heard mentioned:
Smith
Woolf
Ward
McConnell
Rang
Vowell
A few more just to get people thinking/talking:
Gaddis
Swenson
Morris(could he be coaxed out of retirement?)
Woods
Did I miss any?

When We had the old 5 class system Milan was 2A but so was Alcoa. We played each other in the last 2A title game in the old 5 class system in ‘08 with Alcoa winning 28-14. We go back to 5 classes Alcoa would be 2A as well enrollment wise. They may decide to play up based on who is projected to be in their region to save money on travel costs.
My projections have Alcoa being the 6th smallest in 3A if we go to 5 classes. Milan would be projected as the second largest in 2A. These based on 2018 numbers. You are right in that they could be in the same class when the 2020 numbers come out.

A state title and four runner up finishes in 3A says they were pretty successful there.
No doubt!
The biggest difference if there are 5 classes and my point is: No privates, no Alcoa=More State Championships=Better Applicants for your job.
But if you want to play up I am sure everyone will respect you for doing so.

I would have give him more years, Milan plays in the toughest region in West Tn and also the toughest schedule. The emergence of S Gibson has also weaken Milan football.
This will likely change if the TSSAA follows through with the potential plan to go back to 5 classifications. They may then be one of the larger schools in 2A and Milan will miraculously return to their winning ways as the level of competition drops to schools more their size.
