  1. Shelbyville defeats Bannecker H.S.- Final Score- SCHS- 63 BHS- 53 Twilley- 27 points Stewart- 24 points Next Game- Wed. December 28th - 5:00 PM
  2. Rumors that both are getting some contacts from SEC schools
  3. Shelbyville led by 4 at half and pulled away a bit in the 3rd qtr. Twilley had 20 and Stewart had 29. What a pair of guards! Final Score Shelbyville 67 - Cookeville 57
  4. Twilley and Stewart are no doubt the best two guards in Mid. TN - Having them on the same team is extraordinary!
  5. Franklin Oakland Lavergne Shelbyville Whites Creek so far these are the teams that seem to have it all together....subject to change of course
  6. Franklin- They have to be considered after this great start. Siegel- If they can get in shape and play as a team with Ramsey on the court, they have to be a favorite. Whites Creek - Another midstate team with a great line-up that could go far. Bearden- Untested against middle tennessee opponents, but seem to be on a roll. Bolivar- You can't over look them. Shelbyville- If Gross continues to improve inside along with Rowland, they could be unstoppable. Oakland- If their chemistry keeps improving they might be at the big dance! Overall- Mid-Tn has more contenders at this stage of the season, but you never know who will pop up at Tournament time. Should be an exciting Year!

  9. Shelbyville by 24! Hello, swamp- see ya at the game tonight!
  10. I definitely would not want the job. But, if I payed $35 and became a ref I believe I might try to learn the rules and know how to call before I stepped out on the court and embarrassed myself. Oh...AND..I might get that much needed EYE EXAM.
  11. I saw a couple of refs last night that didn't know what a "drop step" or "jump catch" looked like. They called traveling a few times on both teams when excellent plays were made by the kids. Some good moves inside the paint were taken away by some guys that need a lesson or two.....
  12. Yeah swamprat........glad we got two big wins last night. Maybe we can get the boys healthy and be in tip top shape for FCHS Tuesday...
  13. Shelbyville wins 76 -61 and some of Shelbyville team was fighting a stomach virus! Pulled away in the 4th quarter.
  14. Could anyone comment on this game.....wondering why it was so close?
  15. Shelbyville has the fire power to put up a decisive win if they play their normal game. They seem to have a hunger that has been lacking for the past couple of years. My prediction: Shelbyville wins by 15+ points
  16. Shelbyville has DeMario Ragland. He stepped up and hit the biggest shot in the BA game. They have Robbie Rowland...he'll wear you out inside if necessary. They also have Chandler Gross inside that is getting better every game. So....take Twilley and Stewart out of the game.....fine....be ready for another wave from the bench also. Hale can light it up from outside along with France. Then what about Ransom ....can light it up or drive.... Pick your poison!
  17. Well...Siegel and Shelbyville are both great teams and I think both have depth. It will be interesting to see how they fair this season.
  18. Shelbyville has a very solid TEAM. Stewart and Twilley are fantastic shooters and are well rounded players. Their role is to score. However, DeMario Ragland can step up and hit the three, but his role is to feed the ball. Matt Johnson is a terror on the boards and a tenatious defender. Can dunk with anybody in the midstate. His role is rebounding along with the big guy Gross. Robbie Rowland is a threat inside when needed. Shelbyville has two freshmen that can come in at any time and fill up the basket. They have depth that no one knows about. Twilley and Stewart will continue to fill up the basket. That is their job. But, that is not all Shelbyville has. Watch their run to the state and see.
  19. Lots of great PGs I'll take Twilley from Shelbyville Best Ball Handler I've ever seen! Can take it to the hole, makes unbelievable passes and can shoot the lights out! He makes everyone around him better.....That's what makes a point guard!
  20. Jordan Cooper is a fantastic pitcher on the varsity Baseball team and Twilley will begin playing AAU ball this year. This will be his first year to play "basketball only". Twilley's brother played with TN Travellers so i'm sure that's where he will end up.
  21. Shelbyville has two freshmen dressing with there varsity team. Deonte Twilley, the younger brother of Senior guard Deqwon Twilley is going to be awesome. Tremendous ball handling skills and is a fantastic shooter like his brother. Jordan Cooper, a 6'4" Freshmen will be a force as he gets more game experience. Both of these freshmen have seen playing time already this season with Twilley getting some quality time against Brentwood Academy. With Shelbyville's Current lineup, its pretty amazing that they even see the floor. That should tell you the quality of players both of these two are.
  22. After having witnessed the best shooting performance i've ever seen between Brentwood Academy and Shelbyville, I'm wondering what players in the state are as good as or better than Deqwon Twilley and Barry Stewart for Shelbyville. They put on a clinic! Now the question is.....Who is the best? Post your nominations!
