  1. THE MIGHTY FALCONS OVER CAME SOME OF THE WORSE NIGHT OF CALLS THAT I WAS REALLY SUPRISED THAT AFTER EVERY PLAY OF MORE THAN 10 YARDS A FLAG WAS THROWN. WHOEVER HEARD OF A 6 YARD PENALTY BUT THIS GAME HAD ONE WHERE DID THOSE OFFICALS COME FROM????????

LET'S TRY NOT TO POST IN ALL CAPS NEXT TIME.......jk! Welcome to coacht

  2. Call the TSSAA and get a copy of the rule book, spearing and leading with the helmet is illegal. Helmet to helmet is not, he was not intentionally trying to hurt the guy just trying to make a play. This is tackle football not two hand touch.

This young man is 100% class on and off the field. You are just jealous because your quarterback tired to cut back as time ran out in the first half to make a play and got Jacked Up.

Wade deserves to be Mr. Football and is probably one of the hardest hitters in 1A football if you need any witnesses call the Hampton QB.

This thread is asking about the hardest hitter in football not the sorest loser.

    Nice post

I think some people call it being...

BUSTED IN THE MOUTH, or something like that.

    Irony at its best :P

  3. All the money public schools raise goes to buy Helmets and shoulder pads, and we are all not as lucky to have the tradition or funds like a Riverdale does.

I just used Riverdale as an example. Riverdale is a prime example of a school whose community, students, and faculty has gotten behind a good football team. They've had good coaches, and the young men that play work very hard. They raise money, and have money donated to the athletic department. They are building a success with hard work, and donations, coupled with some government funds. The thing is, this is the exact same thing that more of the privates seem to do than publics. It's not that publics can't, because some of them do. I don't know if it's that they don't, or won't, or whatever. I have no opinion on that. I just know that many privates put more into their program than many publics, and it's not just writing checks. They fundraise the heck out of everybody K-12! I know; I've been there and done that. I speak from experience. And the parents put time into the program. And they actively solicit support from local businesses. And publics could do the same. Some of them do (ex; Riverdale), but most of them don't, and that's why I think we're having this discussion.

  4. Ya'll, I'm telling you I know hundreds of players that go (and have gone) to private schools (mostly the SAME private school since they could walk) and NOT A SINGLE BLOOMIN' ONE OF THEM gets to go there for free, NOR do they get a reduced tuition rate. There is NO difference between a DI private school and a DI public school when it comes to recruiting. The AD for Riverdale, a PUBLILC school, can go to California, Florida, and Japan if he wants to, use ATHLETIC PROGRAM MONEY that was raised by SUPPORTERS OF THE PROGRAM, and run an ad on national television that says "I want every single top football player in the land at my school so that you can play football and together we can be the best team the earth has ever seen!" THAT WOULD BE PERFECTLY LEGAL!!!!! He could solicit kids, families, parents, heck, whoever he wanted to come to play for Riverdale. Try to get them to move to the area, and play for Riverdale. And any other public school can do the exact same thing. ANY DI school can, public or private. There is no advantage. Why don't we flip the tables and say there's an advantage to the public schools??? We could say all the AD has to do is get the family to move in from CA!!! The privates have to get them to move AND pay tuition!!! :D I know it's on the point of funny, but it's the absolute truth! Some people try to say the privates recruit, and if they do THAT sort of recruiting, it's their perogitive. Publics can do as much of that as they want. The only difference is that publics don't have to raise their own money to do it with.

  5. I dont care if they get recruited in the 5th grade. If a school, by whatever means, has 12 good athletes come in when they're young, works with them for another year, and then plays them the next year, THAT IS RECURITING. It makes no difference if they play the year they transfer. They could just do that every year and always have new talent avaliable next year.

This is BulldawgDynasty's attempt at getting a thread closed.........

  6. Friendship has about as much of a chance as a one legged man in an #### kicking contest...

obviously, you aren't really good at predictions! everybody knows that HAMPTON will be the state champions! FC doesn't even stand a chance....sorry to bust your little bubble, but reality stinks!..

I cannot express in writing the laugh I got out of these clueless people

  7. I think it's important to define the word "recruit". You can say all you want "We want you at our school", but there is a difference between that, and saying "We will pay your tuition for you if you'll come attend our school and play ball". That's the difference between DII and DI, I believe? It seems to me that all this "recruiting" that's going on in DI private schools doesn't really do them much good if there's no backing it up with scholarship. Public schools can do that. They can go to people in Florida if they want and say "We want you to move to our district so you can play ball for us" Same way DI private schools can go to the same people in Florida and say "We want you come to our city and attend our school and play ball". SO WHAT!?!? If neither can back it up with monetary support, it's as fair for one as it is for the other.

I posted this on the realignment thread also; thought it was relevant B)

  8. You can't tell me your not tired of that third person crap too. That was the first time I did it (being completely sarcastic by the way) and it made my head hurt. :thumb:

Honestly, when they started it, I thought it was incredibly annoying. But now it's grown on me, and I think it's pretty funny. Not to mention the people writing some of the stuff are hilarious. You can't tell me you didn't die laughing when you read Slick Rick's post about IBS. If you didn't think that was funny, your funny switch is broken

  9. That's not strict coaching that’s baby-sitting. If the coaches enforced the rule, "do not go run around after school, go rest" that would be different, the coach apparently doesn’t have enough faith in his team to do that so I doubt he is a very strict coach.

Morris goes by that at Milan as well as a 9:00 curfew on Thursday nights. If anyone is out after 9 and a coach finds out, they dont dress Friday. No questions asked.

Seriously not trying to be sarcastic, but I think at this point if Satterfield made his players sit on their butt and watch American Idol from 3:00 until gametime, I couldn't question it :thumb:

  10. Monetary? Yeah they do just that also in the form of reduced tuition. :thumb:

Not DI's  I know hundreds of good, solid, DI private school ball players, and not a single one has reduced tuition. They wish :D And I'm not bashing the publics. I don't know of anyone who gets paid to play ball for a public school either. I'm not bashing anyone. Just stating opinion :D

  12. Old eagle says he's tired of everybody thinking it's so cute to type in the third person. Oldeagle also says nobody cares if you ever come back to Cosby or not. Noone in Cosby seen your Hummer or a sign of a Muffin so Oldeagle thinks you are 1 of 2 things a liar because you wasn't even at the game to see what Cosby was like or a big scared weenie afraid to let all the Eagle fans on here know who you where so you drove the pinto and didn't dare bring muffins. Cosby willl be VERY competitive for years to come regardless of what IDIOTS like you think. The Eagles return several atarters from both sides of the ball not to mention several soph's that played actually playing against kids their own age the next 2 years instead of having to hold their own with JR. an SR. heavy competition.

    Such hipocracy! B)B)
