  1. I will say hes a great player, I noticed over the summer he didnt play any, coaches said they didnt want him hurt(which I understand) But do they do the same at practices? Just wondering, if I were a D1 player you couldnt keep me off the floor.

Are you talking about Omar? Why do you think he didnt play any over the summer? He went to all the camps and summer work out and played a lot.

  2. If I recall, McCann swatted Crowder's shot? Then, "Slick Nick" goes down and tries to take a cheap shot at him. We didn't even shoot that well tonight. Heck, we missed our first 5 shots. Science Hill's 77.2 PPG to Central's 74.6. We must play that slow game you were talking about.

Central has no one that can stop Crowder or Lauderback. The first two times that SHHS played you, they pounded the ball down low and Central had no one that could stop SHHS's post players. In the championship game, SHHS tried to play Central's game which would be shoot the three. That works for Central, but why should we play your game? All we had to do was pound it down low and we would get buchanon and Hess in foul trouble and there goes Central's chance of winning.

  3. On unapproved website.com for the all region teams in AAA. Andre Whitehead (expert basketball analyst who has been all across the country to see all different types of talent) says this

    Region 1AAA:

    Omar Wattad-Science Hill (MVP)

    Gabe Buchanon-Sullivan Central

    Deshaud Johnson-Tennessee High

    Jimmy Boone-Greeneville

    Levi Ashworth-Sullivan South

    Dustin Guthrie-Morristown West

    Coti Sensibaugh-Dobyns Bennett

    Antonie Wiggens-Greeneville

    Michael Forney-Science Hill

    Phillip Weatherford-Sullivan Central

    Honorable Mention:

    Deshaud Moore-Greeneville

    Nick Crowder-Science Hill

    Beau Haldren-Sullivan South

    Keith Cradic-Volunteer

    Andrew Winstead-Morristown West

    Chasten Hall-Cherokee

    Blake Moncier-Daniel Boone

    Josef Throp-Dobyns Bennett

    Isaac Snapp-Sullivan East

  4. You are almost right...IF you can handle South and SH...If you beat both of those teams back to back then you deserve that sub-state birth.

Who got embarassed the last time Central and Greeneville played?!?

That was before Greenville misteriously got two really niice transfers.... Wake up Central! Ya'll are still in your D1AAA CHAMPIONSHIP state of mind. If you guys even want to think about going anywhere past district, you better wake up. Greenville will work you.

  5. ok this is some bs......dont get me wrong i love my cougars......how can we be over rated? if it wasnt for the bristol news paper we would never get news coverage......look at db my god everyone made a huge deal about the new dome......news flash no one cares......south gets alot of coverage too, you think a school with two 1000 point scores would be on the top of the list but i guess no one wants to report on a bunch of rednecks

Why don't you get your own newspaper, and then you might get some coverage.

  6. Omar is a good player..I don't have a thing against the guy or Science Hill...he is the best overall player in the conference hands down. In my opinion right now...this year, there is no way he is a D1 prospect. There is not a D1 prospect in this conference. HE WILL IMPROVE OVER THE SUMMER, and he may be a legit D1 prospect next year...but the people who are talking D1 for Omar based on this years play are crazy. You want to see real D1 prospects play basketball, then you need to watch teams like Oak Hill or Brentwood, or teams from outside this area that were in the Arby's...those legit D1 guys are smooth and they stand out....

Having said all that..I have not seen Wiggins play...I get it from a good source that he is legit D1...smooth as silk is what I hear...

Javaris Crittenton.... the number sixteen player in the nation. Omar threw his shot in the stands with the clock winding down, giving SHHS the win over Southwest Atlanta Christian. Science Hill may have lost some games to local teams, but they can also step up their game and hang with teams that have great players. Science Hill plays a transitional game, and it is effective against teams that play on a higher level. Teams here in the Big nine play on a slower level and teams that can shoot... like Central will beat Science Hill if SHHS tries to play their game with them. Science Hill can not beat Central just by shooting three pointers. They should have pounded it down low. Central has no height, and not players that could stop Crowder or Lauderback. Yes, Central was shooting the lights out of the gym, but there was no reason that SHHS should try to match that. No one on Cental's team could stop SHHS's post players. Their tallest player is six three or something. That is the height of our shortest post player. Pounding it down low would eventually get Hess and Buchanon is trouble, and there goes Central's hope of winning.

  7. in case you guys havent figured this out yet, heatplaya is OMAR WATTAD himself. everyone of this guys post talk ONLY about omar and the things he does. he thinks hes the stuff when really he will not cut it at a major D1 level... NEVER!

Uh no. I ask him all the time to get an account. All he ever says is that he does not care what other people say about him And that none of what is said makes a difference at all.

  8. i agree, there is alot of talking going on when they are on top, but when those "county rednecks" win they seem to shut up. But i would love to add that DB is in Sullivan County and Science Hill is in Washington County. But way to go Cougars you all played your hearts out. Congratulations to Hess, Phil, Gabe on being on the All-Tournament team and a Big Congrats to Gabe on getting the Tournament MVP. all the Cougars did GREAT, thank you all for an incredible game and bringing the title back to Central. Good luck in regionals i know you all will go far. :(

All city schools in the United States are in a county you feakin' idiot!

that does seem odd don't it....early on ole WaCitJacit was on here all the time talking about DB..and old GayLo talking about the hill..their mommies must have took their Internet privilidges away from them.

Or it could be the fact that I have a life and don't sit at the computer all freakin' day long talking to rednecks.....

  9. Never, never in my 16 years of living have I seen a game like that.

I might not be the biggest fan of Throp but the kid is ice,Sensabaugh played amazing too,big players step up in big games and their were 5 big time players on the court tonightu,Throp,Sensabaugh,Hess,Buchanon, and Weatherford.

I'll tell ya though,Central has enough guts to fill a swimming pool. They crawled out of so many situations that you thought it had to be over. They got a great performance from their bench to,with Mccroskey,Baker and Mccann giving Central some crucial minutes. There wasn't a person sitting in the last 20 minutes or so.Also thanks to the South fans for cheering on another county school, and that dunk Willey had was sick.

Good luck everybody and thanks for giving me the privelage of seeing such an amzing game :P

Yea, the part about Central having enough guts to fill a swimming pool, I've gotta agree. With Hess on their team, that pool would be overflowing...

  10. What the heck do "recent transfers" have to do with school size and playing up? People change jobs and relocate their families all the time. I am sure there are plenty of transfer students in various sports all over East TN. Why is it such a big deal that these kids parents relocated to Greeneville? It has been listed as one of the 100 best small towns in America. Who wouldn't want to raise their kids in a great little town like Greeneville (or JC or Blountville or Maryville or just about any place up here in God's country) Greeneville plays up because all of their biggest rivals are in a higher classification. A good rivalry makes everyone better. I hope this one with SH continues for a very long time.

If someone as good as Antaine Wiggons moved because of his parents or some other reason, why would he go to Greenville Tennessee of all places.... sounds to me like there was a lil recruiting involved...

  11. How can you not mention Gabe? He probably leads the Big 9 in scoring after the last game, and can't be too far away in leading the league in rebounding. He is a big reason Central has played so well this year.

Omar is averaging almost 20 a game and is first in the region in scoring. He was also in every section( scoring, rebounding, free throw %, three pointers, and assits) so i think he deserves mvp but this is supposed to be about student sections.

  12. What does chanting inbred rednecks have to with basketball? That might be the worst chant in the history of basketball.

just look at the picture below your post and you will figure out why we chant inbred rednecks......... because short fat redheaded teams come and join our conference.

  13. OH REALLY???? OK well you wanna hear who was supposedly at Cherokee tonight??? I dont care so here it is Mississippi State, Auburn, and a couple of other D1 schools were there tonight to watch Wiggins!!! And who is the number one team in the nation??? UCONN, and by the way they are recruiting Wiggins very heavily, SO, PLEASE KNOW YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU POST!!!

Who was supposedly at Cherokee? And where did you hear this? That's pretty darn amazing to supposedly hear that all of those big coaches were there to watch a team from the Inter-Mountain Redneck Conference!

  14. Science hill's schedule strength is not that strong. They are 53rd. Sure that is harder than Greeneville's but its not this almighty schedule that you make it out to be. We beat the number 4 team in the state. Whats the highest team ranking that they have beaten so far???

And you also lost to Morristown West. Or East, but either way, Science Hill can beat both of those teams. Who is in greenville's conference?

  15. OOOO, my fault, but hey, Omar was out, DB won, so it doesnt matter now

Your right. It doesn't matter. Science Hill lost to DB. But . . . like you said, it doesn't matter, because Science will win easily over East and take the conference title. How does second place sound?

Come on, you guys are not rubbing this in Science Hill's face as much as you should. I mean, I don't care for either team too much. But for as much as Science Hill talks of how great they are, come on.

Too bad Science Hill is in first place! How can you say that we are not good when we are in first place? I know... You're just jealous. But get over it!

  16. 1st team

    PG-Johnson

    SG-Buchanan

    SF-Wattad

    PF- Hauldren

    C- Mann

    2nd team

    PG-Throp

    SG-Snapp

    SF-Forney

    PF-Hess

    C- Harmon

Coach-Charley Morgan- Even after losing Logan, Morgan was able to pick his team back up after a VERY disappointing loss to Crockett and a poor showing at Central to win 5 straight...including beating the Conference leader Science Hill.

    MVP-DeShaud Johnson

He’s a member of the 1000+ career club. There have only been 4 conference games this season that he has participated in that he hasn’t been the game high score and 3 of those times it was Harmon that was on top (THAT’S AGAINST WATTAD, BUCHANAN, FORNY, HAULDREN, SNAPP, HESS, THROP, SENSABAUGH ) …head to head he’s outscored them all. (PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong).

He leads his team in points, assists, and steals. He’s the only player on his team to score in double digits every conference game. Besides Harmon there’s only one other player on the team to score in double digits in more than 3 games this year.

Johnson has had to wait his turn at THS but he has been a major player in this conference for three straight years…being on the 2nd team all conference for two years and more than likely the 1st team this year.

He will be one of the VERY few to graduate out of this conference this year and make an immediate impact at the next level.

He may have scored a few more points than Wattad. Wattad is a member of the 1000p+ club also. Except, Wattad joined the club at the begginging of his junior year. He still has the rest of this year and his senior year to add onto what he already has. When did Dashaud join the club?
