I love how nobody is talking about how Alcoa brought in 3-4 dudes from IMG Academy. The deep dark secret here. Also make note that the same IMG is actually in Nashville for a night of bumping heads with Lipscomb. How was Alcoa able to get those dudes? Do we have proof that they made a legitimate move to East Tennessee? And how was there that many that made that move? Inquiring minds, yall, inquiring minds....

96-97 Perry County
93-94 BGA
92-93 BGA
Those three teams stick out to me for sure. Seth Pettus, OJ Fleming, Jeff Vanlandingham teams were equally as good as that 96-97 PC. Remember, the 93-94 BGA team had lost to Goodpasture in the region championship and then defeated them for the gold ball, a team that featured Ron Mercer, Drew Maddux, and Sam Howard. -

Bartlett has no chance against any team from the bottom bracket if they play like they are now. I honestly was expecting much more from them after the way some posters were hyping them up. Under 40% fg percentage and 61% FT and as of now 14% from 3.
I called a Bartlett win because they have the extra day built in. Luck of the draw. Those bottom teams all have to play upper level to get to the finals and are going to be much more strung than Bartlett would be by coasting to the finals. It always always plays a factor in having that extra day

Im predicting a Bartlett/Bearden final. Being that Bearden is in that bottom bracket and how brutal it is with Blackman and Bradley Central, their legs could be a bit more used and I am picking Bartlett to win the gold.

Thoughts on Karlie Campbell not being a nominee? I havent followed much this season so Im kind of out of the loop.

Can the Mavs and Walker Martinez get AC their first state title or will the Firebirds pull off a 2nd consecutive upset and take the gold back to Nashville?
-
I was told Anderson County had zero chance to win this game....They look like the better team to my eyes

GV still looks better in the trenches. GV should get really good field position on this kick off too.
AC is blowing them off the line and GV is getting absolutely zero pass rush. Martinez has all day to throw the ball and it is showing in his 11/11 and 2 tiddies

I did see the Greenbrier qb was injured against Marshall County last night. He is actually a better safety than qb. I do think iff he is available that the Bobcats can hang with and beat Hardin Co. If he is not available, that is a tall order.

Looking at the brackets in 4A, one intriguing potential game would be Anderson County vs Greeneville. Is there any chance that the Mavericks could potentially upset the Green Devils and make a deeper run than they have been able to in the past?

This region is going to look alot different next year with Tullahoma and Lawrence County both moving to 5As and Pearl dropping to 3A.

My take is I'll be in my seat ready for next season rooting for the team. I promised I'd stop critiquing because folks get offended too easily so I'll just step aside.
On another note, I'm excited to see what region Tullahoma will land in since they are moving to 5A. I'm hopeful they will be with Franklin Co, Lincoln Co, and Shelbyville.
Lawrence County will also be moving to 5A. Can we see a rebirth of the old 8AAA?

If MCHS takes care of Greenbrier and Lawrence County defeats Creek Wood, Greenbrier will be the 3 seed and Lawrenceburg will be the 4 seed. At least that is how I understand it at this point. If Creek Wood beats Lawrenceburg, Creek Wood is the 3 and Greenbrier is the 4. Very interesting scenario unfolding with LCHS, GHS and CWHS

Wow, I didn’t really have an opinion about this, other than I did not expect to see MC shut them out. I do know LC always plays TTown very competitively so I would expected this to be closer. This should set up the MC/PC game as the decider for this region.
You forgetting about Greenbrier? They are very solid defensively and can give MC problems. I still believe Law Co is probably the most improved. Wi9nner of them and Creek Wood gets the 4 seed. I really expected LC to give them a game and probably beat them. That qb for MC was very good. Without him, Im not sure how good MC really is.

Isn’t Lewis County in that region?
The same Lewis County that got boat-raced by 1A Fayetteville City 38-8?

Lawrence Co got stomped 22-0 by greenbrier tonight. Heard Lawrence co had a high powered offense coming into this game and Got beat bad. Region 5 may not get out of the 1st round if their number one team is loosing to Lawrence co
Lawrence County is going to be the #3 seed in that region. The best 4 teams in that region without question are PC, Greenbrier, Lawrence County, and Marshall County. The only team in R6 that is worth their salt is DCR.

Inquiring minds want to know how Zion can back out of a scheduled game against Mt Pleasant but yet schedule a new game against an out of state team?

Summertown gets the ugly win of the week in a 3-0 dominance over Collinwood. Not sure what I even witnessed there. Cascade and Summertown might be the game of the year with all that offensive fire power the Champions have against the defensive prowess of the eagles. #mustseetelevision

So the Loretto/Forrest game was simply two bad football teams?
Cascade wont beat either of them....what would that make Cascade?

Yes, based on an influx of talent, the talent transferred or got injured… So you have no point, Libtard—probably time for you to get another booster, genius.
So you can leave politics out of this are we can play. The fact that you think you have to insult people based on politics says all I need to know about you. Fun fact-you wont find a stronger fiscal conservative in this group that me and you can take that to the bank. The facts are, Cascade is not as good as you said they would be. That is not even debatable.

Commie, I get it, I get. I picked Loretto to win tonight. Simply remarked that from the small sample that I watched, MP has a speed/athleticism advantage over Loretto…
This from the guy that said Cascade was the best team in the region

Mp had outscored opponents 73-2 before the Cascade game
30, 43, 20......
49, 42, 44
You tell me who is putting up better numbers. Mt Pleasant put 43 on Scotts Hill. Scotts Hill has been outscored 85-28 in the past 2 games. Loretto put 42 on a 4A defense that just held a playoff team to less than 100 yards total offense and had a running clock. Not sure what you are missing in that. -

I watched the 4th quarter and the Loretto offense doesn’t appear as potent as MP’s offense -small sample -plus gauging the athletes
Also, they put up 42 on a 4A team that just shut out a playoff team from last season and held them to less than 100 yards for the game. Do you even understand what potent is?

Loretto has scored 44, 42, and 49. What part of potent did you not understand? My goodness, Mt Pleasant put 20 on yoru defense and they arent exactly lighting up any scoreboard anywhere all year. Bank on it.

Since when did Lewis County become a spread passing team? That is some serious news to me.
