  1. I'm glad at least a few people realize where the best programs in the state are. D-B is no doubt one of the top. Programs such as Mcgavock, Cleveland, Ooltewah, and Fred J. Page should also be mentioned however. In response to the earlier question, I don't think D-B has competed in BOA recently. I'd like to see them enter BOA so we could see where they stack up agaisnt other programs from across the country. I'm sure they would fare very well there.

  2. Well I'd say the main reason that the TSSAA doesn't have a state championship for band is because marching band is not a sport. It is an activity the requires a lot of stamina and you must be fit, but it is not a sport.

  3. I agree with crown on this one. You have to look at how bands do on the national level. For example, D-B was invited to the national concert band festival. Halls, McGavock, Cleveland, and Ooltewah, just to name a few, compete on the national level consistently.

  4. The Halls-Clinton game was a very good game tonight. I am not sure how the refs are cycled in the tournys, but I'm not so sure that the same ones were working the Halls-Clinton game. I thought that they were bad both ways tonight. It was a very evenly matched game with Halls just making one more play. I look forward to what should be a great game tomorrow night vs. Powell. Lets hope for a good clean game and good luck to both sides.

  5. I did not hear this news until today and i was totally shocked when I heard it. I heard that Cameron Sharp went to the emergency room on Tuesday night because of dehydration. He did not get home until 2 on Wednesday morning. For him to come out and play the way he did after that is amazing. This kid is an absolute warrior and he will play college ball somewhere, probably at a smaller instate school.
