  1. I'm glad at least a few people realize where the best programs in the state are. D-B is no doubt one of the top. Programs such as Mcgavock, Cleveland, Ooltewah, and Fred J. Page should also be mentioned however. In response to the earlier question, I don't think D-B has competed in BOA recently. I'd like to see them enter BOA so we could see where they stack up agaisnt other programs from across the country. I'm sure they would fare very well there.
  2. I know that Powell still had their starters in the game in the 4th quarter when they were up by 30 points, and they didnt take them out until a few minutes into the 4th. I agree, who is going to run the team if its not Sharp? ZCAR, I hope you are right, but I just don't see it happening. It may be closer than expected but I think Bearden wins by double digits.

    TSSAA and Band

Well I'd say the main reason that the TSSAA doesn't have a state championship for band is because marching band is not a sport. It is an activity the requires a lot of stamina and you must be fit, but it is not a sport.
  4. I agree with crown on this one. You have to look at how bands do on the national level. For example, D-B was invited to the national concert band festival. Halls, McGavock, Cleveland, and Ooltewah, just to name a few, compete on the national level consistently.
  5. I agree with you crown. Powell just simply beat Halls last night. There are no excuses here. Hargis is a good player, but Cameron runs the team better than Hargis runs his team. If Halls had a big man inside, not only would the team be better, but Cameron would be better because he would have more options.
  6. The Halls-Clinton game was a very good game tonight. I am not sure how the refs are cycled in the tournys, but I'm not so sure that the same ones were working the Halls-Clinton game. I thought that they were bad both ways tonight. It was a very evenly matched game with Halls just making one more play. I look forward to what should be a great game tomorrow night vs. Powell. Lets hope for a good clean game and good luck to both sides.
  7. Absolutely great game tonight. There was a huge crowd and it was close throughout. Lefty is right about Mcgaha. Cameron lead the team like he has all year. Clearly, the TEAM will win most of the time. Go Devils!
  8. Cameron did not start last night against Claiborne, but he did play the majority of the game. It was obvious that he was not 100%. Without Cameron last night, Halls wouldn't be playing Powell tonight.
