oh yeah we're not denying UC won the scrimmage but the starters tied 2-2 and yeah the UC's 1's stayed on the field considerably longer than ours...I think that had partly to do with the size difference they looked to have about 22-24 guys dressed out we had about 40

West is down as well, quite a bit actually, they are still better than most of the rest of the state.

GC will play somewhere every weekend this summer. They will get better and Lannom is a possible superstar. If GC played Jackson County today, they would have played them a better game. UC was scared to death and played a man to man defense today after playing a dominant zone yesterday. They got out coached big time today. Their offense today was the most passive offense I have ever seen. They have a good down low game and the best shooter they had is Reedy and she will be gone. They looked terrible today on the big stage.

UC will dominate GC next year "IF' they stay healthy...I mean dominate....GC may be able to play for 2nd place...you GC fans are living in the past...you are no where near your teams of recent years and you have a very LONG way to get there

First of all, apologies to everyone on Coach T for the remarks from UC grad. Don't know him and glad I don't. He is obviously ignorant, probably a youngster, and a total embarrassment to everyone from Union City, just hope his mommy takes his computer away. As for the game, I think Hensley is the X factor. Coe will get her points, but Hensley may get UC in foul trouble. If UC stays out of foul trouble, like UC's chances. Personally, I have been very impressed with Hensley's play. She is a very hard matchup for anyone with her size. UC will take the ball inside probably to a fault in this game. Likewise, for JC's sake Hensley must stay out of foul trouble. Think if both teams play well this game may be a classic. Good Luck to both teams !!!

LA played horrible. Idk what it is about CPA that we just can't play well against them. I have other comments id like to make but I'll be civil and keep my mouth shut for now. Good luck Cannon Co bring home the gold if you can steal it away from those why try and buy it.

Last week of ball to be played this season!Who will be top ten at the begining of next season? or who should be i should say! A lot of the top ten teams will be young with the seniors they will lose and a lot of teams will be taking thier place on the whose who of single A.

UC will return everyone except Reedy, also Amber Fair should return. UC should be even better next year if they stay healthy. Raven Fair has made gigantic strides the last month and will be a handful for the next two years.

My understanding is region opponents opponents get seperated just like last year when Lake and Union had to be seperated

Bigster I don' want to beat a dead horse and the officials didn't decide the game, it was clearly a UC win. But the ref who called the technical acted like he had a bone to pick with LC and the coaches from the beginning. I thought the other two were actually pretty good. Not sure why he called the tech, my daughter thought he actually called it on the assistant coach. But I could see Coach Johnson arguing your exact point.."why would I say anything to you, I was talking to my girls". Thought he was wrong on a couple of fouls he gave us that should have been jump balls as well. I also still haven't figured out how in the world they fouled Yazzie out and gave Kheela Jones a technical on the scramble for the ball on the floor on our end......the correct call would have simply been jump ball. But they made it into a five minute ordeal! Then there was the Nettles chest bump on our end of the court and words exchanged that certainly had to be worse than what we got a technical for and they just pretended it never happened?? I'm sure that UC could mention some bad calls as well, it is just the nature of high school basketball right now. On a side note, how bout the pass that hit Reedy in the head and knocked her down? That was crazy......but she is tough and got right back up. Anyway before everybody starts screaming we are blaming the refs again, I am not. They did not decide the game. Just discussing some of their questionable moments.

That was not a pass that knocked Reedy down, it waas a CHEAP shot by Gray that should have resulted in an ejection. If the film makes it to TSSAA I doubt Gray will be allowed to play the next couple of games. Go look for yourself at game film and see why Reedy went down.

Greenfield losses its point guard, K. Kesterson for tonights game. Not good.

 

Big loss in a critical game, shes just as important for Greenfield as Reedy is for Union City.

All 14A teams won setting up a SF and Humboldt and UC and LC semifinal at Humboldt Monday night.

If UC plays Monday night like they did tonight their season will end with a resounding loss to the Falcons. Not going to single anyone out, but we have players giving little effort and some of the same who have no interest in rebounding or going after loose balls. etc...

I guess we better just hand Union City the championship.

 

Region 7A is down but Union City can still be beat if we get some officials that call a touch foul game. Union City plays the roughest of any team around and as long as they are allowed to play their game they can make it to state.

GF why don't you brag on your teams a little, they have both had pretty good seasons. You only seem infatuated with knocking the UC teams. Have you even been to a game this season...didn't think so

Union City is the best team in 14A, they are the most physical team I have seen this year. If they run into officials who call ticky tac fouls they are in trouble and they will when they get further down the road. Greenfield looks scared to death when we take the court against Union City, deer in the headlights. We would have to play a flawless game and shoot well to beat Union City but Union City is not the #1 team in the state, they would be the #3 team in 7A.

How can you pick the final 4 if you dont know the brackets. Jackson County and Union City could play each other in the first round. Its all about the brackets guys. Some of these teams might not even make it due to upsets in the district tournaments which will make great teams play each other. There is literally 10 teams across the state that could win it this year and with that being said, you have about 15 teams that could make it to the state. This is why class A girls basketball is great!!! Good luck to all teams.
