I am proud of my players everywhere i have coached, success has always come from the players and their work levels....I would certainly hope that it has come across that i care for all my players...at indy we strive to get better each year...also sorry about the spelling....if there is a former player that has an issue with the way i handled him or another player please contact me at scotts@wcs.edu, we do not recruit players to come to Independence, heck we just want the ones that are zoned to us to come and play...as stated before we have a long way to go and nothing can be judged by scrimmages.....i can say that my players played with lots of hustle and effort...at 1-9 they, like myself know that we can only improve on our record......Page, like everyone else on our schedule will be a huge test...all we can do is to work hard and improve

Let me say this.....I know for a fact that Smith never applied for the BGA job or any other.....he is 100% committed to independence and has not applied for another job since he has been there...I think he plans on staying around for the long term, especaily with his wife teaching at WCS....just wanted to share my 2 cents worth

Got no dog in the fight media mogul, but did some checking and found out that Smith has been a head coach at Greenbrier high school for two years and went to the state playoffs both years? Just wondering........

I hate to see this site getting down to this. It seems to me like several people have a problem with Green Lantern. I will say that it seems he does take some abuse on this site and probably in all fairness, gives as good as he gets...I wish him and Independence the best in the future as well as whoever gets the BGA job good luck as well!

Sounds like Bulldog69 has some info, are you one of the finalist and how do you know so much about the 4 guys? As a retired coach myself I know for a fact BGA could do a lot worse and would probably be lucky to have any of those guys.....
