Just got the high school preview book and read about PF. With their absurdly easy schedule, they should win at least 7 games. They play some of East TN worst teams. Coalfield, Wartburg, Union Co., Cosby, and Grainger cannot play a lick. Gibbs will be down as well as GP. What kind of schedule is this? I guess Hancock Co. and TSD were already full. Hammonds should be ashamed he put together this schedule. Play somebody

Im not falling for this mess. Grider better be asking for this boys birth certificate to make sure he is eligible. I garuntee you if he isn't and the TSSAA finds out about this, Coalfield will be suspended. I read in my Murphy Fair book about Coalfield and this boy is not listed. You think im joking but im not.

if the school has k thru 12 in the same school....like all in one building, 8th graders can play high school football if they choose. you can write a letter to the tssaa all you want but you are wasting your time.

coalfield was never down 27 to 14, there were down 21 to 14 and 27 to 21 and sunbright didn't lose because of the refs so maybe you should get your facts straight

sunbright went 10 -0 in the regular season 10 years ago and then lost in the first round, what have you all done since then besides lose to everyone on a regular basis besides oakdale.

Coalfield not been good for the past 3 or 4 years. And I dont see them being that good this year either but all they had to do is beat Sunbright or Oakdale and they make playoffs so they are in. But the days of Coalfield being on top in football all long gone.

we can go back and forth on we think is better or who is gonna win but the fact of the matter is the kids on the field will decide the game and i just hope both teams play up to the abilities and no one gets hurt. Hears to a great game friday night.

i'm picking coalfield by 7, i think coalfield's defense led by mr. football finalist brandon davis at defensive end shows up and plays great and the offense scores just enough to win. and just out of curiosity who all is actually making the trip down here friday night?

well last year we thought os was down and coalfield would no doubt beat them and look what happened. we haven't beat them in like 20 years so until we do they have our number no matter the talent situation.

Go back to page 1 and see if it wasnt a  Sunbright person saying they would beat Harriman their Child. And further more how many times has Sunbright been to the State in anything and how many State Champs have they had in anything? You might wont to check, and every program goes through down years and if you will check TSSAA sets the standards for what divsion every one plays in so find yourself another excuse for the numbers...

os91 i guess coalfield shouldn't even show up this friday since obviously oliver springs is gauranteed to win because of the all time series record, heck i guess you all should start practicing for your next game this week to leg up on the competition. Coalfield has no chance against the mighty bobcats. I bet you agreed with all that os91 because its a bunch of crap because all time series records won't matter this friday night because the best team will win and this friday night it will be that poor little morgan county team called the coalfield yellow jackets.

This game is all about pride, these two neighboring communities will battle it out and give it there all this friday night. I am expecting a very good game between these two teams, both teams are undefeated with oliver springs being 2 and 0 while everyone wrote them off in the preseason. Coalfield is 3 and 0 this year after having one of the most successful years in school history. i'm not expecting a blow out either way but i am picking coalfield to win 21 to 14 in a hard hitting slobber knocker

ask_me, our starting qb was out also and the boy who started has never played qb before this year did a very good job with feeling in for him. and the me me me player comment is far from the truth.
