Maybe Riverdale will be able to get their act together by next year, I'm not sure but won't they pretty much have the same team if so they could easily be a big contender for the district, that is if they improve on chemistry, coaching and team work.

Cookeville will win this one by 5. Homecoming Friday Night the place will be packed and the Cavaliers are ready to show the district they are back. I believe the biggest factor in this game is Mr Martin. I dont see Cookeville stopping him we all kno cookeville has no answer for Allen. I feel Zach Hennigan busting up Oland for about 20+. I have a feeling he will finally show what he is capable of. Stearman needs to have a big game for the Cavs to win but he is a big game player. The bench for the Cavs must contribute as they are so young Cox(soph) Akers(fresh) Weaver(soph). I see Cookeville winning.

Cookeville will win this game if they can stop Martin. I know, you are probably thinking that Allen is the best player on Oakland (and he is by a long shot), but Cookeville just lost one of their post players and he wasn't even good enough to stop Martin. Bray is the one coach who can keep up with King. He has enough athletes to slow down Wade and Allen, but maybe not enough strength underneath.

 

For the record, I think Oakland is over achieving this year with the talent they have. Allen is a Division I prospect and Wade and Martin are both solid players (Wade has moments of greatness). It gets real thin after that. They just simply have out coached and out hustled teams.

 

Based on the formula they have in place, I think they may make it to state this year.

I agree...team chemistry and having a distinct team leader are a big part of a team's success, and IMO Riverdale is not doing well with either...Scott Thomas is the team leader if you have to name one but as d2d said, the Warriors are very inconsistent

Hey Buddy, this is a freshmen thread.

Wouldnt say lack of coaching is the whole problem. Burks is a good coach, and I strongly dislike the man personally. I dont think he reaches his potential year in and year out, but he is still a good coach in my opinion. I think this team is better their record shows, but I mean they shouldnt be undefeated or anything like that. Outside of Thomas and Smith, they dont have another TRUE CONSISTENT offensive threat. Tee Burnett will drop 29 one game and not score the next. Until they find another offensive threat, who shows up each night, they will continue to struggle against good teams.

For starters your post are usually knowledgeable and informative. I know you guys in the Boro have a hard time respecting anyone outside of your borders but the

way we were taught in the country is the better teams are the ones that consistantly finish the game with the highest score!

Turns out what I said was true. White County is alos a fine team and have the number one seed in the Tourney. All I'm talking about is the seeding for Oakland, Riverdale, and siegel.

King will have his boys ready after coming off the tough loss.

k...take your beef up with the DNJ for posting that article to give your rival school the ammunition....if you guys had anything close to that you would use it at every opportunity and you know it

good luck proveing this one being that yall we'll never be a poor school, take for example the new nieghborhood on Compton Road, $800,000 supposed to be zone Oakland but the people moving in there are demanding to be treated special and given a zoning to siegel. These are the type of people, for the main part who go to siegel, and these are the kinda people we dont want at Oakland

So if we chanted out something like "daddy's money", my personal favorite it's really the same as having a sign that says I'm hungry free dinner too? If somebody made fun of me because I'm rich i could care less if i was poor and they made fun of me it really wouldn't make me feel all that great. i know a guy on fre lunch that would beat the living crap out of you if he knew you were saying this stuff and saw you in public, boy i wish he would.

The only schools that have such a problem with us are Oakland and Blackman...happen to be the two schools that we all left to come to Siegel

Mr. Oden is one of the most widely respected and friendly men in all of Murfreesboro...for you to question his parenting is ridiculous and you should be ashamed. Just as people have no right to question the way you parent your kids you don't have the right to do it either. I didn't know we would go to the level of criticizing parents for their parenting of a very successful young kid. Who are you Dr. Phil? Jimmy isn't into drugs, he doesn't have a criminal record, he doesn't drink, he has good grades, and he doesn't do alot of things normal kids do because he has sacrificed it for basketball. I have known the kid since the 1st grade and his dad has been there every bit of the way guiding him and teaching him how to be successful. You may wonder why I will defend him when others wont. Now you know.. I've known the kid longer than everyone on here. His dad was my basketball coach. Whatever Mr. Oden does he is successful and he tries to instill that attitude in Jimmy. Jimmy is in the gym every morning at 6 am shooting and practicing. He is dedicated to basketball more than any other player in Murfreesboro. If the worst he does is go and yell out kids who have called him Oden Scrotum and his schools arch rival so be it. But you need to grow up and realize you have NO place in questioning Mr. Oden's parenting because if you really knew ANYTHING about the man you would realize how utterly STUPID and classless that sounded in questioning Mr. Oden or Mrs. Oden for that matter.

OHS Authority #1....It was Flight 44 who said that and I BELIEVE he is talking about the push it chant because I thought of the Free Dinner sign...I made the sign during 6th period. Also...why the double standard....Why say you don't care what we say or think but then get upset when we hold up that sign...you either care and don't want us to talk about it or you don't care and it doesn't bother you regardless of what we say...which is it?

All I'm saying is I don't ever want to hear you complaining again about our"classless" student section while you're holding up your degrading little sign. And in case you didn't see what I wrote earlier, there was a guy 20 ft. away from you holding up a sign that said 'Got Class" at the same time you were holding up yours, I thought this was hilarious.

Look Hoolie, the kid had a problem all last yr. How many times has he been T'd up this yr? For you not to realize that he has a problem is simply making you an ENABLER . You have admitted that he likes to jaw with the crowd several times. This is not the NBA and he doesn't earn millions of bucks to play. He is not getting drafted out of HS. I have said this for a long time...with Jimmy I take the good with the bad. Without him we wouldn't be NEAR where we are today. To see the way he CARRIED us @ Whites Creek its clear. Many recruiting guru's have stated this as well that he is the motor and catalyst for Siegel. It starts and ends with him. How can you possibly say he does more harm than good when he is 2nd in the mid state in scoring and only .1 ppg behind the #1 guy. 23.3 ppg on the #3 ranked team in the mid-state but yeah your right he does more harm than good...thats like saying Allen Iverson is hurting his team more than he helps them just because he has an attitude. Get real man

Ok everybody is happy that he is 2nd in the midstate in scoring but have turnovers, rebounds, assists, blocks, or steals ever entered your mind before. The only thing you have to say about jimmy is that "he's second in the mid state in scoring" we're all happy for him.

Like I said before, folks outside Siegel talks about his attitude and behavior, not his talent. Just can't believe he does some of the things he does, including getting up in the opposing coach face after the game and taunting the opposing fans and players. The coach or parent needs to get control. He is hurting the team and Siegel, more than he helps them.

It's certainly not going to be the parent.

Ramsey's first made dunk was a little two-hander under the basket. This was a great game. Congrats to siegel. Reffing was a little terrible at times but that not an excuse being that if we had just hit our freethrows we would have won. What oden did on his second free throw is not supposed to be allowed but whatever. Both team played great and the only negative thing from a player I saw was after Oden threw the ball up in victory he rushed over to our bench preceeding to pull his jersey at us taunt us and then say "What now bi#@hes." Dont say this didn't happen because I sat right there and heard and saw it. Other wise great game amazing fans to both sides.(Pretty sure yall had a little over 400 students there ya crybabies LOL)

Technically White County should have two forfeits since they decided not to play Siegel.

I've heard that the siegel game won't be a factor in the seeding for the tourney, being that they played five less games than everyone else and White and Warren County never had to play them and siegel only had to play Lebanon once. This is only what I've heard so it could be wrong.
