im so scared... there are only 4 weeks untill marching seeason is over. it has gone so fast this year. i lolve love love marching season and dont want to to leave so fast.....humnn i wonder what next years show will be

WOW! i was at that competition the entire time and had no clue that this happened. did this person happen to be having trouble on the field and sit on the sidelines for a while after her band came off the field?

The Oakland Band would likewise like to extend our deepest sympathy to their band, family, and friends.

we got superior guard, drum majors, percussion, and band. guard also got best in class (AAAA). we did not place in our class though thanks to judge 3. our scores were as follows.... judge #1 - 85, judge #2 - 85, judge #3 - 62. im not sure how exactly that happens but i cannot wait to hear that judges tape. i think there is something more that the show going on with that score, mr #3 must have something against us.

Wilson County won small sweepstakes percussion, and band. guard also got best in class (AAAA). we did not place in our class though thanks to judge #3.

im the short one!! lol i was probabbly talking to joe... i know him cause i was in orhestra with him last year. i met one of your DMs that actually is no longer conducting too and he was really cool we talked for a while in the stands. well there is a story on why the DL is not marching...... we have one snare and hes a soccer player. he was playing in the rain and tore a bunch of ligaments in his ankle and wont be able to march the rest of the season. we had to have kelly and we couldnt put him in pit causer it wopuld cause wayyyy to many tempo problems so the BDs came up with the thing you saw friday. (the ground covers are going to be painted like a rail road track) and yes we are a bit smaller than last year. we had *counts* 16 seniors and then we had 7 people that we a detriment to the program quit. then we kinda got a light load of freshman. as for the guard.. htey are workin hard. waters works them hard but he does a great job! ok so you won our homecoming game... we were bummed but its all cool. it was our first region game to lose which isnt cool but o well. i loved yalls show though!!

so the weather was good... did you liek the show??? i loved the NMBC show... the props were awesome and i had fun talking to soem of your band kids at the concession stands. i talked to one of your (ex)DMs for like 5 mins... pretty sure he is an awesome kid. so yeah.... it was sad that you beat us at our homecoming game and its the first region game we have lost....

lol well when i made that post i though tghost train was the name of the opener but its name is really blues train but.... we are currently plaing ghost train in concert band its sooo cool!!! i play flute so i get to do all the bends and such. what band are you in?

pretty sure when we dont have games or practices ill go to local game just to see the bands and hang out with the band kids... even if i dont know them

i was not a happy kid..... there was a tornado warning and the storm was not supposed to just blow through it was supposed to last quite a while so they killed it.

i dont think you can say you have to best band in the state if you dont even compete

mmm seems like baby band can never win over big bands....i suppose its all the GE points they ran @@@@ up and the fact that it doesnt rely as much on each individual but i think in TN there should be reional qualifers and state championships and actually do an organized competitve association unlike the free for all that we do currently. that would make me smile. also if band was a more competitive in TN i would be a much happier kid.... sometime i wish i could move to somewher ein ohio or illinois or texas and be in a BOA band like ronald regan or lassiter or someother awesome tastic BOA band. *dreams of BOA championships*.....

definately.... you need to get a hold of the michael buble version of it so you can learn the lyrics and sing it on the bus.... we totally did that.

wow someone is a loser... and some people actually love their unifors regardless of what you say. i happen to be very fond of uniform and its probabbly my favorite thing to wear. i feel so complete and put together with it on. when i zip the jacket my pride goes through the roof. i dont care if its in my DM jacket of the regular jact there is just something about being in uniform with your band that makes everything seem right. regardless of how ridiculous you may think i look, trust me, to me and every other band kid uniforms hold incredible powers and can change who you are for 7 and a half minuite at a time.

hey! im a flute player, well DM this year, who actually cares about the football and can talk football with the perc boys in the stands its quite fun. as for the rude playing its definately a personal foul at the OHS stadium. our directors are soo strict about when we play and such. its rude to be a distraction to the players.

awesomeness... i think i will not stray far from contests when i get out of high school. my sister is gonna be a director so thats a window into them and then there is always the closest DCI schow and such... of course im sure everyone plans to go to contests after they graduate. im gald your gonna go though it will be fun for you and bring back some old memories of band... and the band bus. lol
