  1. so a team who has played not much more than freshman ball will win this district? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  2. that is the most backwards, twisted prediction any of us will ever see.
  3. ah take it easy riverdaleman. let me translate what "buggers" meant in this situation: "a very talented group of ball players whom we all want to beat very badly".... compliment in the form of an insult /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

we said that about riverdale in 7AAA... it's deffinitly an honorable thing to be able to say you've won every district game.
  5. invalid... oakland had power in their lineup last year as well... didn't work out ... i never thought pitching around hunter and skinner looked or seemed very easy. i believe siegel, having the balance of plate production, defense, and pitching, will win regular season (sure, i'm biased, go ahead and rip me one), with riverdale second and oakland third. i know the newspaper reports of three senior D1 signess looks good for oakland and all, but that's far from the deciding factor of determining who wins this always tough 7AAA district.
  6. Siegel looked fairly solid throughout the entire game, but they have to look back side better on slower lefties. WC doesn't look like the same team as the previous years, but you can never tell in the preseason.... and it's "WERE you at the game?" you illiterate college kid /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> . Answer your phone some time!
  7. tullahoma, wilson central, and brentwood is who we've played... just givin ya a hard time /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  8. well i heard oakland beat coffee county 1-0... wow great run support guys... against a GREAT TEAM! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  9. 0 errors in all preseason games, a perfect game, a no no, averaging about 8 runs a game.... if they play the way they're playin right now they will take it home.
  10. Think of a 1.4 for a second......
  11. When you say a pro averages a 2.0, you're not talking about a non-game evaluation. You're talking about an in game pop time. Considering how many throws a catcher makes all year and how hard a four seam transfer is, you get about an average of 1.9 to 2.0... and no, you didn't throw a 1.9 in junior high... and also consider this... Ivan Rodriguez threw a 1.7 in a non-game evaluation, throwing his guts out. What does that tell you about the "average" pro pop time?
  12. correct me if i'm wrong but i heard siegel threw a no no last night against tullahoma and a perfecto today against wilson central... is this true?
  13. Siegel played very well tonight. 8 hits (most outs were hard line drives), 7 runs, 0 errors, great pitching by derek faust and josh mckenzie, shut out tullahoma.... just a great outing for the stars.
  14. haha either that or ivan rodriguez's nephew moved to TN to play baseball... and even he would need the clocks to start and stop soon or late lol.

    RIVERDALE

brett lanning=siegel's nightmare... refer to siegel's last game in the district tournament.
  16. the fact that you just wrote that gives you zero credibility that you can actually throw 1.8s... especially since that is an especially remarkable pop time for any catcher in high school anywhere.
  17. O goodness, now baseball is causing good Christian men to fall.... i never knew this game would lead to gluttony

who does coumbia have this year? my guys from siegel play them in their season opener. i hear they have a guy throwing it pretty hard.
  19. Oakland had the same talent last year, but no chemistry... that was obvious. Talent isn't everything... not even close. it's the desire to win. You got a group of nine average guys who love winning more than they hate losing and strive for victory every day, then you got nine average guys who will beat nine college signees without chemistry on any given day.
  20. I'd say lack of a catcher effects the "balance" of a team pretty significantly. Without a general, how does the army roll?
  21. 2.0 is the average MLB pop time. So for a high school kid to throw a 1.9 flat is impressive, especially if he is in the vacinity of the tag side of second base.
  22. Sounds like that team could compete with the St. Louis Cardinals
  23. lol don't keep yourself anonymous or anything... and i'm pretty sure the d'backs have more than one catcher. I believe the name of this forum should be "how do the siegel stars do this year". Neil Robinson is not such an asset that his name should be mentioned in front of the team in a forum. He is good, don't get me wrong. But nobody is good enough that their name should be mentioned as if they ARE the team.
