Nah. It'll be out soon.
Let it out!

Yeah. You get one year with thunderstorms that push the championship game to a late night start and you swing the pendulum so far in the other direction...
Do you think the posibility of bad weather was a part of the decision or was it travel for teams to return home?
-
I am disappointed to see the A-AA and AAA finals are scheduled for 1:30 and 4:00 respectively for the second year in a row. This makes it difficult for high school soccer fans to attend. This seems like it would hurt attendance. The Division II games are at 4:00 and 6:30.

I may have been wrong on the second tie breaker. It may be Goal Difference (4 max). I am not sure how they calculate goal difference for the games settled by kicks from the mark. If you do not count the kicks, I believe the goal difference to be as shown below.
Station Camp 7-0 +20
Hendersonville 4-3 +3
Wilson Central 4-3 0
Gallatin 4-3 +7
Lebanon 3-4 +3
Mt. Juliet 3-4 -6
Beech 3-4 -7
Portland 0-7 -20

This is the way I see the standings.
Station Camp 7-0
Hendersonville 4-3
Wilson Central 4-3
Gallatin 4-3
Mt. Juliet 3-4
Beech 3-4
Lebanon 3-4
Portland 0-7
Hendersonville beat Central and Gallatin. Central beat Gallatin.
MJ, Beech and Lebanon beat each other. I think the tie breaker after head to head is win vs higher seeded teams. All lost to SC. Beech and MJ beat Hendersonville. Lebanon lost to Hendersonville. Lebanon is seventh. MJ beat Beech. MJ is fifth and Beech is sixth.

Just wondering. Was this a forced situation or completely on her own? I thought she did a pretty good job. They weren't exactly a team filled with talent and I thought they were respectable. Is she ready to get out of coaching or just ready to get out of coaching at Lebanon? Will she resurface as an assistant?
I heard she is pregnant with her second child and decided to resign.

Lebanon will be searching for a new coach. MacFarland will not be returning next season.
-
There could be a lot of teams at 4 wins and 3 losses at the end of the regular season. It will be interesting to see how the tie breaker falls out.
Tough loss for Station Camp on Wednesday. Their legs had to be weak after the OT and Kicks game at Lebanon on Tuesday.

This is stupid!!! No wonder baseball is losing fans. The game takes long enough as it is.
-
Wilson County reminds me of the Harper Valley PTA.
Funny!
I have heard the parents were rough on the coach and administration at Central this last year.
What happened at Central was to be expected. There were no returning players with significant experience.
-
If that is the case why is the girls coach still at Lebanon?
This should probably be in the Girls Basketball thread, but it is a good question. A lot of people would like to know why. Politics?
-
With the exception of Station Camp, the rest of the district looks to be down this year.
Anyone else have thoughts?

Troy Bond is leaving Wilson Central to take the Oakland head coaching position.

He may be going "out of the frying pan and into the fire".

Oakland wins this one rather easily i think. Too bad White Co. had to draw one of the Rutherford Co. teams in the substate as i do believe they were the 3rd best team in the state this year behind Blackman and Oakland.
I do not believe White Co. could beat Mt. Juliet.

The Camp has to be disappointed not making it to the state tournament. Chicky is noticibly absent from the boards. I guess he just couldn't bear the ribbing he would get.
I am very proud of the Lebanon Blue Devils. Hopefully the team can build on this year's success.

Congratulations to MJ!!! Incredible last half of the season!!!
First 16 games they were 4 - 12.
Last 15 games they were 12 - 3.
That is a great turn around!
Region 6AAA is scheduled to play their semi-finals tonight. Brentwood vs. Independence and Hillsboro vs. Franklin. Brentwood is probably the favorite, but Independence and Franklin have both beaten them this year.
-
Congratulations to Coach Allen of Mt. Juliet on being selected 9AAA coach of the year.
-
Camp wins with their size 51-42. I do not think I have ever seen a game where one team is not called for a foul in the 2nd half until 2:05 to go in the 4th quarter. Camp was beatable today, Lebanon just did not play well enough. Congrats to Camp. Good luck to all 9AAA teams in the region.

District play starts tonight. Some burning questions for the season.
1. Will Portand move out of the cellar this year?
2. Will Chowbay fit in at Central?
3. If Station Camp does not win the district, will they fire the recruiter? LOL
4. Will Lebanon have their first winning season in district play since joining 9AAA?
End of the regular season look at the burning questions.
1. Congrats to Portland for moving out of the cellar.
2. The experiment didn't work and probably hurt the development of the team.
3. The recruiter is breathing easier. The Camp definitely had the most talent and would have been the laughing stock of the district if they did not win it.
4. Congrats to Lebanon for their highest finish in 9AAA since moving over from 7AAA.

Enjoy the strong student support each school has in 9AAA. Go to a metro game and a Simon and Garfunkel song will break out.
The Wilson County schools have great student support, especially when they play each other. Students should be reminded each day there is a game what the expectations are. There will be students who cross the line. They should be dealt with appropriately. Administrators and SRO's should not punish all for the actions of a few.
One thing I do not like is student sections directly behind visiting teams benches. Central is the only school in 9AAA that allows this. There was a bad incident at Pickett County last year between fans and players.

Does anyone know who the coaches are for this game?
