well you all play like what 3 AAA teams maryville heritage and campbell co..?? The schedule is tough to read but thats what I got from it. I think Seymour has south doyle twice, Halls once, William Blount twice, Jeff Co. 3 times, Then out of district Rutledge like 3 times, Anderson Co. twice, plus their district games. I think those AAA teams are a little tougher traditionally and if you follow alot of high school baseball you would know that pretty quick. All trash talk aside, PF has had a good team the past 2 years especially with cannon at his best. They were tough to beat when he was on the hill. I think you will see a different looking Seymour team this year though than you have in the past.. but good luck to everyone in the county... shouldve known this thread would get heated b/c of the bad blood between this county.

Record means nothing. Seymour doesnt play any AA teams except region games the rest are all top AAA teams. Last year PF got beat by both Gibbs and Alcoa teams that Seymour beat at least 2 times last year so that tells you whose district is tougher. PF plays no one .. north greene south greene claiborne cumberland gap.. you had better have a good record in that district with your only tough game being rutledge. GP plays like austin east 5 times and washburn. Im sure PF will again have the better record when you see the Seymour schedule because its twice as tough as last year and im sure PF's will be a cakewalk like always. I think you have to look at the schedule more than the records. But we'll see keep talking up your sons team I hope your in the stands to see "Harveston the Great" and hope that he can fill the shoes of cannon. Time will tell alot.. can't wait til youre eating these words youve been saying.

I cant wait to get on here after the PF Seymour game ... we'll see.. youd think if you were a parent then you would have something better to do than to get on coacht and hype up PF. Maybe you can talk them up to make them play better because youre def. trying.

Just know that when season comes around you wont be seeing sise or riley or some of those freshman youll be seeing the top 2. And i dont know who your talkin about the only person we didnt have is will?? Wil already graduated .. so of course we didnt have him. We were missing our 2 starters in the field in fox and ogle and matt lynam who will be in the starting rotation. So you all got us in the fall with our number 5-6 pitchers and we won with denton pitching. I dont know good luck to alcoa because off the field Seymour and alcoa get along good and stuff.. I just think if neone should know how this game usually goes it should be you all.

I think youll have to include Koeneman from Seymour in there.

The best catcher I have seen in the east is Dalton from Rutledge. He can flat out hit it and I think he deserves to be called one of the top if not the best in the East. I cant speak for the rest of the state or the kid from notre dame because I havent seen them . Walker from Seymour can play and is only a junior but he has to put up some numbers this season to be considered with Dalton and the kid from ND.

Seymour did play about 30 fall games this past fall but most of those were half of returning players and half people that are trying out this season. Its not like we had our varsity going 30 games. I just want to know what GP has done in the past to be ahead of Seymour when Seymour has 3 straight district championships in a pretty tough AA district. I just think that scrimage needs to sink in just a little bit when you saw seymours pitcher who had never thrown a game in his career shut the team PF had out there reguardless of how many games either team had played. I was at this game and it was like 15-0 and it was only that close because seymour started only going one base at a time. Pigeon Forge did beat Seymour 2 years agop in substate w/ cannon 8-0. Cannon had 7 RBIs and threw a 1 hitter. Well hes not there this season so we'll see.

I def. have to agree with this. I dont know if they think they are the only school around here but me personally I know Seymour has been having weight room workouts everyday since June. Im sure if you ask PF the same question theyve been working their butt off as well. Sevier Co. only time will tell though I think Seymour and Sevier co meet twice this year so we'll see how much that hard work pays off like you are saying. Im pretty sure you know it won't be an easy to get a victory on any of these other teams in the county.

I agree fall baseball doesnt mean much. It shows a little of what each team has but a lot changes from then until the time in may when it counts. I just think its seymour, PF, SC, GP. Sevier Co. is definitely improving they did have Seymour in 10 innings but Seymours fall pitching was rough due to injury. No excuses though Sevier Co. definitely had their shot to win a big rival game fall ball or not. I just think SC stays in the 3 spot until they step up and beat Seymour or PF and this year may be the year only time will tell.

The past 2 years it has been PF's county but I think this year MAY be different. I think this may be the year that Seymour jumps back on top. This county should be getting better from top to bottom because I know SC is definitely taking steps in the right direction along with GP. PF will be good again dont get me wrong I just think this may be seymours year to top them. The only reason I say that is what I saw this fall ina scrimmage between the two. Seymour won by over 10 and I know its only the fall and both teams were missing people so I know it will be a different game when spring rolls around but thats my opinion.

Im not taking any sides on this one b/c I dont know who it should be between PF or Alcoa but I think PF has a lot to show. Of course you are not going to have the respect you earned from last season b.c you graduated most of your team and lost your coach. That doesn't mean you wont have a good team bc I will never count you all out again but you are going to have to earn this respect when season starts not by saying how much better you will be on coacht.

yeah streak is at 3 right now... but you never know who will be peaking when tourney time heats up..

Yea PF lost more than cannon ... how are those teams in region 1 like sullivan north elizabethton and happy valley

Seymour has a lot of good senior leadership coming back. Three seniors that started on the state tournament team as freshman. 3 of top 4 pitchers returning from last years squad in Koeneman, Church, and Lynam. Should be a better hitting ball club than last years squad. Also a lot of underclassman that can play some ball to help out with the teams depth.

Yea we do.. it looks like a completely different field this year though. A lot has been done since last baseball season.. We're not the only school that plays at a small field though, I know alot of other schools in East TN that are launching pads.. we just dont have the room for any bigger of a field.

Seymour and Anderson co. get to start off their year with a bang against eachother.. this game is quickly becomin a rivalry game eventho AC got Seymour both times last year in good games.. Just cant wait to get started and im sure everyone else feels the same way..

I like to see that the Seymour alumni still are eagles at heart.. haha

Brandon Ketron from Seymour High School has began playing with the Washington Wild Things this year. I think it is Indepentant league though.

Ac has a good team throughout the lineup. There team can hit the ball. We (Seymour) did have them 2 times but they made the plays to come back and win both games. They will be the team to beat next yr with just about every1 returning. Represent East TN and dont let another West TN win it.

Seymour loses Caughron and Debord pitching-wise. Also Ben Thomas- utility, Grant Newman- OF, and Josh Black - C and Wil Lynam- CF. Will be returning all of last years infield and Church, Koeneman, and Lynam pitching. Defense and pitching will be good again they jus have to replace 3 every day hitters.

Seymour wins the 3-AA disrict tonight with a 7-0 victory over Gibbs. Seymour looks like there getting hot..Baseballs a funny game though, anything can happen! They will host round 1 of region against Loudon. Should be a 7 inning battle.
