  1. Congrats to the Lady Rockets. This is a group of classey girls that have worked hard. Good luck the rest of the way.
  2. Can some one tell me who won the game between Franklin and Shelbyville last night? I heard that the SS for Shelbyville hit a HR to win it but I haven't seen that posted any where.
  3. How does the tournament work? Will 1st and 2nd place teams from the season both get bye's? That would have 3 playing 6, 4 playing 5 in the first round. Or does just the 1st place get the bye? And then 1 play's 6, 2 play's 5, 3 play's 4
  4. Can someone give me the score in the Lincoln Co. and Franklin Co. game from last night?
  5. Alison Blackwood Freshman at LCHS hit one last night in a 11-1 win over Mt. Pleasant. That was Alison's third for the year. The field was regulation size and she hit a good 210-215 and when it left he bat there was no doubt where it was going. Congrats Alison keep swinging.
  6. I don't know what her name is but Tallahoma has a Sophmore pitcher. She had over 20 stikeouts against Lawrence Co. on 4/18/06.
  7. I agree that the JV team is a vital part of your team's future success and they need to play. We have 15 JV games scheduled this season and thus far we have only played maybe 6 or 7 of those 15 games, and everyone of the jv games that has been cancelled the other team has been the one to cancel them. Our coaches no the importance of our jv games and want to play ever jv game they can. Like I said earlier these girls worked just as hard and long in the off season as the varsity girls, let them play too.
  8. I can't answer that because this is my daughter's freshman year. She has got to play in some Varsity games but she is mostly the backup catcher. Now as I said earlier we have had a bunch of our JV games cancelled, but I can tell you this our coaches know the importance of our JV games and we have not cancelled any of our JV games. I do agree with you basehits from what I have seen so far this year most schools don't give the jv what they deserve.
  9. We play in district 8 AAA
  10. We will have to agree to disagree on that comment, because we have a girl that is on our varsity team that hasn't played since 7th or 8th grade. She stopped playing softball and started cheerleading. Well this is her Jr. year and she has started playing softball again and is in the top 3-5 in batting avg. on our team. So if your athletic enough you can still play at a high level. I tell this girl all the time if she would have stayed with softball she could and still might paly at the next level. Now with that being said she want go anywhere big but she has the talent to play if she wants to and she hasn't played in I guess 4 years.
  11. We have a bunch of girls that are on our JV team that in the future like next year will contirbute to our varsity team. I just think that your JV games is a great way to get those girls valuable playing time for next year. Those girls worked during the offseason just like the varsity girls did and they deserve their time to play as well. Like you this is just my opinion.
  12. I agree with you. Our school has a mixed roster where some of our girls play both JV and varsity, but we still play our jv games because it get the girls that don't play varsity on the feild and it gets the one's that might be in slump with the bat's more at bat's, and I'm like you if your not going to play them don't schedule them. We have had so many JV games cancelled it isn't funny.
  13. Can someone tell me why so many schools don't want to play their JV games? I know they don't count on you win/loss record and really don't mean anything, but it does give the girls on your team that don't get to play much some playing time and it also prepare's them for next year as well. Can someone explain this to me please?
  14. Lincoln County Border Battle. Freshman Allison Blackwood 2 HR'S and Sophmore Danielle Fincher 1 Hr. This was a good weekend for Lawrence County Ladycats.
  15. Congrats on a big win Rockets, and good job Shelby.
  16. Does the loss that Coffee County had to Lincoln County in the MTSCA tournament not county as a loss? Or does it not county as a district loss since it was in a tournament?
  17. Let me start off by saying I'm not disagreeing with you. The Juniors that are playing my be very good also, but if they were so good why has their win lose record been so bad. How many games has Spring Hill won in the past 2, 3 or even 4 years? Since these good Juniors, Seniors, and Sophmores have been there? Just asking. I know three of the freshman on Spring Hill's team and IMO if all three of them were on the feild at the same time Spring Hill would win more games, because it's all about putting your BEST nine on the field. Your absolutely right win you say it's a TEAM sport so IMO the coach needs to look at whats best for his team and play the best 9. This is only an opinion. I don't know the whole story so I'm going to end this with good luck Spring Hill the rest of this season, and good JP where ever you end up. I know you will suceed where ever you go.
  18. If anyone deserved that HR it was Christy. She has worked extremely hard this offseason and that worked paid off last night. Congrats to Christy and too the Lady Cats softball team. Keep up the good work.
