IHS fans are some of the best that I have seen in high school and the IHS announcer does a great job. The IHS quarterback is probably the best in the Region and Coach Smith has done a great job with the tallent he has. I have seen Franklin play twice this year and I think they'll regroup after the week off and win out - obviously IHS is favored to win the region. I noticed during the game that FHS didn't even have a bench during the game, they were sitting on water coolers or sitting on the ground - what's the deal IHS had a three benches - I was just wondering if teams are supposed to take your bench with you? I know every school in Williamson County can afford benches, because every school looks the same and your facilities are awesome. Just a note, if I was the Athletic director at IHS I would charge the fans on the hill outside the stadium you lost about $2000.That would buy you a couple of benches. Great Game both teams.

Congrats to Independence, 23-17 win over Franklin. Franklin was up 17-0 and never scored again. The player of the game should be the back for IHS, he dominated the second half. IHS is a dangerous team, they have the best quarterback that I have seen in the region and now have a running game, if their recievers can catch some long balls the post season should be interesting.

Centennial will continue to struggle until they have a complete overhaul of their athletic programs. The school is currently 10 years old, so it is not the new kid on the block. They have had some success in girls soccer and softball but in boys sports only the baseball team and golf team have had any reasonable success. Centennial does not have a true feeder school, so kids that have a choice choose other schools like Franklin High because they win or are at least competitive in every sport. Centennial's greatest downfall is from the top/ down. The athletic director is the football coach, which has had only one winning season a 6-5 season a few years ago does not support the total sports program, you also have a principal that is so focused on academics that he is not concerned with the values taught through athletics. Brentwood High, Ravenwood, Page, and now Independence surround Centennial and all have a good balance of academics and athletics, this and the fact that a lot of Centennial's best athletes no longer want to play will be Coach Gregory's downfall. I know Coach Gregory and he is a good man and good coach but sometimes it's time to move on.

I do not have a dog in this hunt; however, I was at the Ravenwood game. If the Franklin player recovers the ball then they win and you would not be posting these comments. No I have not been to watch you practice, and i bet you have not been to watch Franklin practice. I do know two things -- 1. Do not believe everything you hear and number 2 - Judge ye, be not judged. Good Luck this saeson David, I'll be up their to see you - now go practice punting before you have no friends left in FRANKTOWn. You better be glad you went to Franklin instead of BA anyways, our punter starts at AU.

If you are at UT, then don't you think they should fire Fulmer. He had a team ranked in the top 5 in the country and had terrible season. The team look disorganized and had no discipline, so if you are a member of that team wouldn't you consider yourself part of the problem, never mind you never got to play this season and won't for a while. Sounds like you thought you were bigger than the program when you were at Franklin and as everyone knows, they moved along well without you. You need to spend more time worrying about your own team and trying to get to a bowl game and less about Franklin High.
