  1. Okay. Like I said, I wish you success against your competition. I was merely stating the facts that you so naively are in denial about, which is that Rutledge's level of competition is not acceptional. So sorry if I got "Bean Station" mixed up with "Cherokee" ....poh-tay-to or poh-tahto. Same difference.
  2. Wow, guys. Anyway, Dobyns-Bennett returns very promising athletes at most positions and a very capable line-up. The only issue is, will they get over the hump and beat some of these knoxville teams that they have had so much trouble doing in recent years and make a state appearance? I'm saying, "No," just yet. Though just a scrimmage, the South Doyle game was a geat opportunity to show everyone that D-B is a serious contender to win its sub-state game and they simply, once again, could not come up with a win.
  3. Okay...The St. Mary's School for the Deaf could win 27 games if it were playing in a blind league. Get my point? Anyway, good luck, Rutledge, against Rogersville and Bean Station this year.
  4. Ok? Yeah, I play for Rutledge....that's why I called them a doormat.......real logical thinking seymour. I do, in fact, play for a team who plays Halls this spring. Maybe more than once, depending on how far they get.
  5. When comparing Halls and South Doyle, they are almost mirror-images of each other, great hitters on both sides and dominant pitching. The x-factor, though, is South Doyle's attitude and determination to win. I've spent a lot of time with players from both teams, and what it all boils down to is confidence vs. arrogance. Enough confidence from the 'kees to work hard and get the job done, and enough arrogance from the devils to rely on merely talent and not work ethic as well.
  6. Okay, Strperguy, you win the trash-talking battle, as Halls players seemingly always try to do. Now, let's see who wins the real battle, a state title, which only comes from above avrage talent AND acceptional desire for a TEAM to succeed, instead of "talk" from a group of individuals.
  7. Havin trouble converting those hits into runs, huh, Halls? 6-1 vs. a team that may as well be a door mat? Your days are numbered, Halls.
