it was such a late challenge, that was why he gave the red, he knows he wasnt trying to hurt the other play, it was just so late and hard

I love how everyone keeps saying that BGA was outplayed. I don't think so. CBHS was playing from behind the entire game. They did control the flanks, but that has always been the weakest part of BGA's game. They were unable to come down the middle and get good shots. The only good shot they had came from about 40 yards out. Instead they kept taking the ball down the wing and crossing it in. This is how they got their two goals.

 

Also, it is important that people don't confuse arrogance and confidence. Being confident is very important in any sport. If, deep in your mind, you already know that you are going to win then as a player you can come out, play your game, and win.

Arrogance, however, is taking that confidence and going public. It is not needed in sports. It has no use except to belittle ones opponent and brag over victory.

 

I believe that many of the CBHS players were confident. They played very hard and fought for every second of the game. From what I have heard, I think that their coach was arrogant. Something that probably got into the head of some of Brothers' younger players.

 

P.S.

Earlier on some topic somewhere, I saw where a Brothers supporter was making excuses for only beating MBA in P.K.'s. He said that it doesn't matter how the game went because "good teams find ways to win". In light of recent events, I will have to agree.

Why not focus on Big East Soccer. FRA dominance in Nashvegas is over. When FRA cannot beat BA in soccer...the times are a changing. This is only an observation, but I wish you the best.

Lowder is not that fast. He has great skill but there are many players who can beat him in a foot race.

are you kidding me, i played with lowder and he may look big but he is extremly fast with and without the ball

ok if this is not bashingthen what is. when you get on all you have to say is first CPA stinks. then if we are winning then you say the district stinks. and then you say everyone we will face till state stinks and thats the only reason we will make it there. you know mcdonald I dont remember you saying the district stunk last year when yall went to the state games. so please dont try and come back to high school like uncle rico live with your loses and let us play our games and one more thing your dad coaching FRA has nothing to do with you. so dont try and say it does.

no the district has never been that good, i mean, our starters last year only got to play about a half each game due how bad some of the teams were. I mean, besides CPA, each game was a walk, its always a good game against CPA because the intensity runs high, i dont know how you can tell me that ur district semifinal, region semifinal, and substate game is a difficult game, and how did CPA have trouble with that hume fogg team this year in the final. I heard the goal shouldnt have even happened. and how does my dad coaching fra not have anything to do with me, and i did play there pal, so it has everything to do with me, so i wish you luck in state where you will play some real competition.

settle down, im not bashing, i thought we were allowed to state opinions on here, i have plenty to do with it because my dad is a coach of one of the teams in the district, the district isnt very strong, how can you say it is when the last state championship was in 99, and there werent many from our district before that, theres ur stat pal, and soccer isnt all about stats anyway, people can tell how a team is by watching them play. Atleast i can, i dunno about you, but CPA has two decent players in midfield and a runner up top, a team with organization and some skilled players would beat them easily(AKA CAK)

Itsaboutthegame10, did your team fail to go anywhere this year or are you a guy now in college whose only athletic outlet is intramurals? You do nothing but slam this 9AA district.

naw im neither, im one of those guys you wish you could have been, playing D1 against teams like Indiana, Maryland, and Notre Dame, and im just saying the district isnt very strong, my highschool team walked through all the way to state my sophmore, junior, and senior years. And as for the LC and CAK comment, CAK deserved a better game in state than CCS, and we beat LC twice last year and CAK once, so yeah the "west" dominates in state championships, but what can you do when you get screwed, and CPA wont do anything special

The region is not bad u ######. as a matte rof fact it is rather strong. true most teams lost a crapload last year but it still has a chance at state

actually the region is rather bad, every time i played in the region tournament we walked on all the semifinal teams like Livingston and Station Camp, and the finals were always a rematch of district finals, so it is weak buddy

Thanks for the overrated comment about pigeon forge. Were you even at the game when they basically dominated cpa? I guess domination is synonymous with overrated...

well pigeon forge and cpa both arent very good so it might have been a good game. CPA is an ok size team, then dont play good soccer but they will probably win because the region is so bad. They wont be a force in state.

No offense to Bearden, but they are the best kick and run team I have ever seen. Seems to work well for them. They've never played "pretty soccer" but at the end of the day they win. Seems like CPA is finding a style that works.

well i guess if you wanna say that, im sure bearden plays better soccer than CPA, im just saying the level of play in this district isnt very good this year as opposed to the last few years.

bouncing ball that just went through the keepers hands, should have handled it easily, both teams arent very good. CPA has a couple talented midfielders, hume fogg has no one special, yeah they will go to state, but thats because they wont play anyone solid along the way

Franklin needs a few move in players a new coach and a new attitude. The program has gone downhill for several years while the suroounding schools have excelled. I was glad that last year we finally got the AAA Championship back to MIddle Tenn but we will have to step it to keep it here

I kinda disagree about CPA not being some type of threat. Are they a great team, NO, but when they play good , they play very good(Ezell-Harding) and when they play bad , they play real bad (Knox Catholic) and the loss to BGA, well BGA is a special team this year. They spanked Hume Fogg already this year and if they string a few games together...yes they can surprise someone, but truthfully they are to overall slow to beat a CAK or Knox Catholic

first of all, they are not a team to play "good" soccer. There big and strong and kick and run. They have two skilled players in midfield and thats it. The Ezell win was nothing special cause they arent good either. And neither is hume fogg. This is just a down year for that district. Look at all the good teams that district has had in the past few years and then look at this team. there is no comparison

This was not an upset. CPA went undefeated in the regular season against district play. FRA has a good team, but lost a lot of players. Their freshman goalie did a superb job against CPA in the regular season game, but only came in at the end in the tournament game. They still have a fine team.

CPA is nothing to worry about in the future. Yeah they beat FRA but FRA lost 8 starting senoirs last year. That whole district isnt very good. CPA wont do much if they get to state. neither will Hume Fogg if they get there.

I heard that Sevier County beat Lenoir City. I'm not really sure if that is an upset or not though.

it is gonna be a good game and i think it will end in a ravenwood 1-0 victory cause brentwood is not as good as every body thinks
