I am a Humboldt fan and have seen UC play all year. They do not have any big men. They love to run, shoot the three ball, and press the entire game. And, NO; Wayne Co. does not have a chance. I am not hating on Wayne Co., but just simply stating that UC is that good.

Through the first day of the A State Tournament, we have seen that the West TN teams (Humboldt and Union City) mean business. Let's hear some information on Grace Baptist and get some predictions going. Good luck Humboldt; let's go out and get another victory.

I am a Humboldt fan and attended tonight's game against Cosby. They looked average tonight, they played good, but not their best. However, their average game was good enough to beat Cosby by 20. The only thing that they did not do well was handle the ball. We were somewhat careless, but we nipped that in the butt after the game. And, they shoot like that every night; so, do not expect them to "go cold."

This is the most ignorant statement I have ever heard: "They should look at the average heights." Just quit griping. Tell them boys in East TN to grow some then. Yes, Memphis produces some of the best players in the country. It is probably one of the top 10 cities in the nation to play ball in. So you are saying that just because a team is really tall therefore they should play in a higher division. Height is not everything. Speed and shooting have a lot to do with it.

If you have a problem with it, write to the TSSAA; they are the ones that said that UC and Humboldt should be in A. Humboldt barely has 10,000 people in the city and just over 400 students. So they have basically the same enrollments as the other school at state.

Tell 'em DB3, then turn the light back on after we win it all so we can party.

You are not "making all your shots" when you turn the ball over because of pressure defense.

I agree completely. Let's bring the golden ball back home to Humboldt. As long as we play smart and like a team, we can beat anyone in the state. Good luck guys.

Lets just settle this now. You have not seen everyone in the state play; therefore, you cannot say they (Grace) are the best. We will find out who the best team is on saturday the 18th. You better hope that Humboldt plays Grace so that you can see and outstanding team. Good luck to all.

Umm. NO. Humboldt has just over 400 students, but nice try. Quit griping that we are playing in A; if TSSAA says you ought to be A then thats where we are going to be. So, if we win it all, do not get on here and say "they ought to be playing in AA." End of discussion.

well old eagle, this is the first time in the last three days that i am going to agree with you. i do think it would be a better champisonhsip game if we played yall. We beat UC three times this year and they get to play 14-18 Cloudland, i am not hating on Cloudland. They need to rank the teams somehow so that 1 plays 8 2 plays 7 and so on. And yes, whoever wins this game will have the best shot at winning it all. And dollar 1906, you are right when you said "Humboldt has one upside on you guys, and that is rebounds. the three big guys that start should be named windex, because they literally clean everthing off the glass."

Sure you are going to pick Cosby, you have seen them play, but have you seen anyone from west tn play. "Bigwes68" knows what he is talking about. Everyone in East TN is good; however, like big wes said, you rely on fundamentals and good shooting. West TN plays a different kind of bball; the game is so much faster and you always hear about the big names from West TN going to top schools, you dont hear much about East TN top prospects going to big schools.

I have Humboldt as going 5-10, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3, 6-5? Wondering if you could tell if that was correct..... Pretty much right a couple of them are still growing as we speak but they all play big, all of them can jump out of the gym.

Congratulations on making it to the state. i am simply letting everyone know that 34-1 is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. i am not putting y'all down, evidenlty y'all have been doing something right to get here. Others are saying that y'all are going to "run us out of the gym." so i am just defending my team. I agree; we will see Wednesday. So that gives me a week to talk as much as i want to, so if you have a problem with it just don't reply to my "mumbo jumbo bull crap." You are right; it really does not matter because out talent talks for itself. who is this (dollar 1906)?

I just want to go ahead and state the obvious: WEST TN will win all three classes next weekend. Just want to let everyone from Middle and East TN know that they should not waste time coming to the Boro just to watch the West sweep the tourney for the second year in a row. A- Union City and Humboldt AA-Mitchell, Bolivar, Haywood, and Liberty AAA-Raleigh Egypt and Hamilton. Good luck to all the teams from West TN.

Who have you played? Out of the twenty teams y'all have played, they have an avergae record of 13-15. You blow out sorry teams and play decent teams close. I am not saying you are not good, but y'all seem overrated. We play good teams all the time in West TN. Lake Co. Union City Halls Middleton Middle College. Beat AA Liberty 2 out of 3 last year and have a better team this year. West TN Basketball is the cream of the crop. But you will find that out here in about a week. Just remember that I told you so.
