It was Pigion Forge/ Unicoi County last year defending Co-Champion's due to weather. Looks like another Great field!

No, actually it was Jeff County and Unicoi County who were Co-champs last year, and the field has changed quite a bit since the last posts here. I'll try to get schedule on here ASAP.

I saw where Science Hill eliminated Central last night, but how did DB & South come out?

FYI: in Dist 2 AAA, Morristown West defeated Sevier County in winners bracket finals. Morristown East will play Sevier tonight and the winner will face West in championship immediately afterward. The 'IF' game would be played Friday night, same as D1.

Morristown West is planning it's 3rd annual softball tournament for April 29th & 30th 2011. As in previous years, it will be held at Frank Lorino Park in Morristown. The entry fee will be $225 & there will be a 4 game guarantee (weather permitting). Lightning interrupted the championship game in 1st inning - radar looked nasty - teams were declared Co-champions

 

Thanks to everyone who participated - had a few bumps early with a no-show and a broken down bus, but after that, things seemed to go pretty well. We hope to see all of you back next year for the 3rd edition.

Is it just me, or is there an echo in here?

Congrats to Jeff County and Seymour! If you didn't see the District 2 AAA Championship game last night, you missed a classic. Leon ended it in the 10th inning with a 2 out, 2 strike, 2 RBI line drive double that just barely got over Irvin's head in center field to give Jeff County a 4-3 win. It was an outstanding game by both teams and great fun to watch. Good luck to both teams - I know you'll represent the IMAC very well! Somebody keep us posted.

Does anyone know the status of Seymour v Sevier County game that was scheduled for last night?

Sequatchie beat Rhea, Jefferson, then a little surprising, Hixson in the silver final as was mentioned in the article.

What was the score of the game with Jefferson County?

East and Jefferson county seem to be separating from the pack. No real surprise I suppose. Looks like the battle is for 1st & 3rd at this point. Do we have anyone from Cocke County & Jeff County who could help out with some of these game scores?? It'd be nice if someone could post them. If you don't want to post them to the scoreboard, put them here & I'll update the scoreboard. Coach T can be a good centralized location for all the scores & standings if someone from each conference school will pitch in & post scores.

I like Cocke County over West today in a mild upset. Cocke County is way over due and West just not able to overpower them. Too many West errors lead to Cocke County victory (5-3)

Hey now, this ain't funny - they beat us at their place last year.

That's humor at its finest right there Lance. A good joke helps cut the tension, and I'm feeling a little tense about now, but really looking forward to another chapter of East v West - softball edition. Sometimes it's a nail biter, sometimes it's a rout, but it's always a blast. Hope to see you there tonight. Don't forget your lawn chair.

It's good to see some of the old-timers - I knew you guys were lurking. We're probably not ready for steaks yet, but I think we'll be able to hook you up with some soup beans and cornbread. Big week for West this week (weather permitting) - need to do some growing up fast.

Can't confirm anything about West v Cherokee yet - I do know that the field was covered over the weekend. I also know the weatherman says more rain coming.

I didn't know how much I was gonna miss the frog jokes, Lancelot - don't be strangers guys. Please drop in when you can.
