I dont know where you got those stats. kolinsky has some power, yes, but collins didnt have a single homerun last year and kolinsky had only 2. Kolinsky batted around .360 last season which is not bad but needless to say, below .400. Cates batted well below .300 so I am completely confused as to where you saw that he batted above .400. the only correct stat seems to be Smith's who did bat at exactly .400 but on only 50 AB's. we'll see how strong CAK turns out this season, especially under a new coach.

that game was a huge rivalry for both teams so there is expected to be some pushing and shoving and emotions going on, and that's exactly what happened throughout the entire game from both teams. if you watch the replay closely from a camera angle in the back of the endzone, Hartman shoves blake in the face first before blake makes his move so i agree, there should have been offsetting penalties if anything but at that point in the game, the official should have definitely just let it go considering it was such a small confrontation.

if webb sweeps baylor they are automatically in the state tournament regardless of what happens in the region tournament so the regular season matters quite a bit...

D2 will be very interesting... mccallie, baylor, and webb are always really good. baylor's coach always has his team prepared and sharp no matter what kind of kids he has to work with. unless i am mistaken, mccallie only lost 2 seniors which means they will be strong as well. webb also lost only 3 seniors and are returning 8 seniors for the coming season. they finished 2nd in the state last year and there is no way you can say that mccallie has it easy or any of those teams for that matter. in my opinion state is up in the air for all three of these teams. it will all just come down to who wants it the most in may.

i saw knox webb play in the loudon tournament as well. their lead off hitter bo johnson can fly. i think he's #2. i found out that he was running a consistant 6.8 60 last year and they say he has gotten faster. look for him. he's quick.
