Bolivar is probably the most discipline hitting team I've seen this year. You will probably need to walk the lead off hitter and pray for the double play and then pray again they don't score 4 or more with 2 outs. They will hit the ball....and then they will hit the ball again.....and before it's over they will hit the ball some more. Did I mention that they can hit the ball? lol

Preston is a top of the line kid.....I've know him and his family for years....thru baseball. Preston is a fine example of what happens when you mix talent with hard work. We were with them at the Miss. St. camp back in January. Me, my son, Preston and his brother Jake went out to the movies one night while we were there.....you couldn't ask for better kids to be around......they made me feel like one of the guys. I had to watch them though.....the girls were following them around pretty heavy....lol....you know girls and baseball don't mix at that age....lol....jus joking. Better watch out for Jake too.

What was the final score? I forgot to listen to it on the radio.

That's a great point......I made that very statement about it being a little league field during the game. Anywhere else and they would have been long outs. But...it's the same for both teams. I was thinking about Bolivar hitting all those homers against Liberty the other night.....they really should have felt at home in Lexington. Good luck to the Liberty seniors....those are some great guys. They are the toughest out there and the finest when it's comes to character and class. Good luck guys....we love you!!!!

Great weather for baseball. Gant pitched a fine game for the Bruins....the Crusaders just couldn't get it going.

I wish I could have seen that one.

Liberty shuts out McNairy for the second time this week. Mondays game was 11 - 0....Matt Haynes WP and Tuesdays game 5 - 0 Liberty......Shawn Selph WP. In Mondays game Chance Freeman had 5 RBI's. Liberty's pitching and defense is getting the job done. Not doing too bad with the bats either. Next up Liberty and USJ at the "Big Chip" should be a good one.

Liberty takes the second game 5 - 0. Winning pitcher for Liberty....Alex Marbury. Alex has two shut outs back to back....the other against Southside last Friday. I think Lexington has a pretty solid hitting team....I've only seen them play two games though....I missed most of the game tonight because of dealing with a player injury. They've got a good record to show for a good season so far.

Getting pretty tight. Liberty is at Lexington monday night.....this should be a good'un.

Them's the rules.....I figure it ended about right since the ump blew the call at the plate. Should have ended in 7 innings. By the way....Liberty scored 13 against Haywood and 4 against Crocket Co. Let's see..... that's 17 where I came from. Each team allowed 3 runs. The Crusaders could have scored 20 against Haywood but our coach (Coach English) thought it best to play the jv team to build the team a little (Good call there coach!!!!).

I'm sure glad you got us all straight with the little history lesson. Everbody knows that christians aren't the only people that refer to God.....not really sure where you saw otherwise. Back to the original subject.....church is straight out of the bible. When someone starts talking about God and they bring up church and going on Sunday....I automatically think their talking about Christianity or atleast that is the way it is in this part of the country. I'm not that shallow as to not know what we're refering to here when we say "church"...... Christ started the church....thus...christianity. It is true however, there are many different denominations and beliefs on the bible. That is what the constitution is all about. Protecting mine and your rights to believe what ever the heck we want to believe. It's not about the state telling me what I can or cannot believe.....although I think it is leaning that way. That wouldn't be anything new though would it? Almost every society on the face of the earth has at one time or another hated "them" christians....Christ said it would be that way. I don't think most of us are in any danger though of being persecuted.....we don't do enough for Christ to be convicted of being christian. In a court of law....the burden of proof would be hard to present. The evidence would be hard to find. We might just go free.

Yeah they play at 9am in the morning. don't know about the others.

Yeah....terrible calls. A bad call at the plate, a high tag on Matt Haynes with his feet across the plate. The ump agreed that he tagged him high....he saw it....that's why he didn't see his feet across the plate first. An strike 4.....omg!!!! The guy must have been having a bad day.....he also got in Alex Marbury's face for kicking dirt on him.

Liberty 0 Station Camp 0 Ended in a tie after 9 innings....both teams allowed the same amount of runs in the tournement so far. Decided by a coin toss, with Liberty winning. Great game.....Shawn Selph pitched a gem. I think he gave up two hits. Also some awesome play by the defense.

Liberty lost to Jackson Northside in a close one this afternoon. Josh Lindsey was the loosing pitcher for Liberty....as Northside came from behind to win in the bottom of the 7th.....4 - 3. Liberty won their second game today against Hardin County. Matt Haynes got the win and the shut out 3 - 0.

It was Liberty over Camden last night in both games. Gavin Lindsey winning the first game.....8 - 1. Came very close to a shut out.....a Camden runner scored from 3rd on a bad throw pic at second on a steal....that close!!!! Josh Lindsey hit a solo homer to Ridgecrest Extended. The guys have the bats rattling again a little. Second game was a good one.....Liberty taking this one in 8 innings......Alex Marbury the winning pitcher was taken out in the 8th.....Josh Lindsey closing in the bottom of the 8th. Big hits.....Brian Ferrell with a stand up triple in the 2nd game....Josh Lindsey hitting a stand up double in the 2nd game. I know I'm forgetting a few more.....someone else can fill in the others. Congrats Crusaders on a good night at home.

I know that is the case most of the time. Let me say this.....I don't respect any coach that does this. He doesn't have the good of the team at heart. If a coach cares more for his agenda than the good of the team....he should quit......let me repeat that....HE SHOULD QUIT!!!! NOW!!!! He is killing his team.....those guys deserve his best. He should fight to the death for his team....and they will know what kind of coach they have. Playing is about winning.....winning is not a bad thing as some have made it out to be. Do this....if you have a kid that plays any sport....ask them this question, "What do you think of your coach?" Tell him/her to be honest. "Do you respect your coach?"....."Would you do what ever your coach ask of you to win (as long as it's legal and moral)." "Does your coach quit on you.....will you quit on him?" The game is important......it's all about life lessons. It's played inside the boundaries....there are rules....there are times when you will loose....and there are times when you will win. Did you give it your all? I don't have time for a coach that has any other agenda....whether it be money, pressure, or selfcenteredness. Put the best possible team on the field.....and go to win!!!!!

No you are right....I didn't take it that way. I feel bad for not recoginizing him. JCS as a whole did and outstanding job last night. I know several of those kids on the team.....I've watched them grow up and they are fine kids. Our guys are very discouraged right now.....they wanted to do better. They have worked hard this year to be a contender in the district. They will if they don't give up......you can't give up. Gotta keep practicing and working hard.....NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
