  1. It happened and I agree with you, but I don't think they saw it.
  2. HAHAHAHAHAaaaaaa!!!!!! You may be right!!!!! But you will have to admit....it's been a long time since I've turned over any garbage cans on here. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I guess it's old age or something. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> We lost a big one this evening down in the land of the "walking catfish". I would like to say that it was a good game......so I'll leave it at that. Good job to Riverside....way to hit the ball. I don't think I've seen a game like that in some time that the hits were just out of reach .......for the most part.
  3. Game one between Riverside and JCS. JCS 6....Riverside 4. Great game tonight and tomorrow night should be as well. Hayes was on the mound for Riverside and threw a fine game. Jones started for JCS and Noah Chandler finished up for the Eagles. The Eagles started out a little slow and the bats woke up late. Looking forward to traveling to Riverside for game two and meeting the fine folks at Riverside. That one was rained out last year and both games were played in Jackson. Good luck and GO EAGLES!!!!!!
  4. Just when you think you've seen it all. Tonight at the JCS vs Riverside game.....keep in mind that this was game one of district play between the two teams........get this!!!!!! The field ump was on his cell phone while the ball was put into play by the home team.... Jackson Christian School. He said as he watched the ball go by, "I gotta go....they just hit the ball!!!!!" If I'm lying I'm dying!!!!!!! Another well known local ump was in attendance and had this to say as his comrade was engaged in conversation on the phone, "What's my boy doin' on the phone out there?" I kid you not.....it happened. Can you see a football referee running down the sidelines with cell phone to his ear and saying as the quarterback hurls the ball down field, "I gotta go....he just throwed the ball." How about on the basketball court. I don't guess I'm complaining, just thought it was a little more serious than that. If I was a coach on either team I'd call time and let him take a phone break.....maybe even a smoke or even a bar-b-que bologna sandwich break...LOL!!!!! lmbo!!!!
  5. I was looking forward to seeing Lexington play tonight at JCS. Due to the weather that one has been cancelled......looking forward to a make up.....maybe.
  6. I've got a senior too......I'm sure this season will be a blur. There's alot of stuff to do to get ready for graduation and not enough time to slow down and enjoy it. He's got to pass first!!!!!! LOL!!!!! #1 priority.
  7. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Yes you did sell out....that was some good stuff. I got the last dip of chocolate ice cream...I had to mix it with vanilla. I went back up into our crowd with that and thought I was going to get mugged. That was a good idea......and a great way to make some money....my hat's off to you.
  8. Is this the same man that was paid to run amuck (What does amuck mean anyways?) the crowd at the state tournament eating a chocolate ice cream covered brownie (that should have had side boards I might add) with hopes that folks would see it and want some of their own? If not.....who was that man? No wonder it was all gone when I tried to buy some.
  9. I hear you on that!!!!! I can't catch mine anymore either....that ended about 3 years ago. Long gone are the days of throwing batting practice. Do you know how many baseballs are in one of those tall baseball buckets? WOW!!!! I can't see the fastball anymore.....when I do catch it....I can't move my hand for a week.
  10. KEEP THE tssaa OUT OF OUR BUSINESS!!!!!! Let the parents and kids decide what's best for them......it's not that hard. Some of you folks need to lose the welfare mentality.....we don't need government or any organization deciding what's best for "Little Billy". Furthermore I don't figure the almighty tssaa will get involved ....UNLESS....there is an opportunity for bug bucks to be made off "Little Billy" and the onturage that always follows him around....namely....dads, mothers, brothers, sisters, grand dads, grand mothers....etc....
  11. Well said. To me it all boils down to the ability of the parent to do the best they can for their child. That's the most important thing. I'll also say this, if you see a successful public system, most of the time it's because of strong parent support. This really is the same thing that happens at the private level. It's people that want better and are willing to work for it to have it. Believe me I don't have deep enough pockets for private.....and I still support public with taxes and even donations when I can because I still believe in it.
  12. Do the people that voted yes think their kids are just not good enough to match up with the privates? I don't think so. Not being derogatory at all.....just wondering if your kids might be buying into this idea a little. Most of the time folks will use what ever excuse they can find win they lose. I say work harder, set goals for your team, BELIEVE!!!! COMPETE!!!!! The almight TSSAA cannot make winners out of whinners. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> What satisfaction would that be if all privates in DI had to move up to AAA and you got to win that way? My answer to the original question......I don't care either way, I think we could get passed it because the work ethic alone is different. Another thing......If the private schools here in Jackson went DII and were aloud to recuit and give financial aid....there would be a loud sucking sound in the public schools of talent leaving and going private.
  13. The reason there are none is because most private schools have numbers to be in A. Because of the multiplier rule some have to play up in AA. Not really sure what your point is I guess. I think most private schools would do pretty well in AAA. I would think it would be good motivation to build a public school team into a winning program instead of rolling up and quiting every year. What about the public schools that made it to the fling this year.....in my opinion they had as much talent as anyone else. There are alot of teams out there that are loaded with talent and the reason they don't win is because all they hear from the coaches and parents is, "We just can't match up with the privates." You are just telling these kids that they are just not as good as everybody else. I and a bunch of others happen to know better......I know kids in the public schools systems that are the best....they are just not made to believe it. Man up people and make winners instead of whinners. Sometimes I think these kids would be better off if this whinning bunch of quitters would just all get together and take up knitting or something (I put that mildly....I do have other thoughts of what they can do with their time.....but, that will be in a different post.)
  14. What is it that you people don't understand about the difference between D-I and D-II schools? DI private schools don't give scollarships or recruit players.....or atleast they're not supposed to. If you have knowledge of it and can prove it....report it. It's that simple. As far as the amount of players that play a sport and recieve a scholarship to play......all of them that qualify....in DII. You probably need to keep it in perspective when you ask a question about private schools. Simplified....are you talking about DI or DII? That will help you understand it better. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
