QUOTE(mjuhb @ Mar 31 2007 - 10:22 PM) 826427364sorry now that i think about it coffee co should be 3rd and lincoln co 5th
STANDINGS
goal differential against for
Tullahoma 3-0 6 pts (+5) 1 shut-out -4 +9
Shelbyville 2-0 6 pts (+6) 1 shut-out -1 +13
Coffee Co 1-1 3 pts (+2) 1 shut-out -2 +6
Columbia 1-1 3 pts (-1) 1 shut-out -4 +3
Lincoln Co 1-2 3 pts (-3) ----- -10 +5
Franklin Co. 1-2 3 pts (-4) ----- -9 +3
Lawrence Co. 0-3 0 pt (-5) ----- -11 +2
i dont know who all knows this yet but coffee county has to forfeit every game played so far this year.. so we are now at the bottom 0-2

oh i see... what was the score of that game?
and yeah coffee co finally showed up to play today.. we are very inconsistent as a team but when we play well we're not bad.. and that franklin co game was a heartbreaker.. the two goals allowed by coffee co were because of two mental lapses in the back and franklin co capitalized.. we were also very unlucky on the offensive end.. we should have scored more than just one goal and we hit the post a few times.. oh well.. hopefully we get to play them again sometime.

QUOTE(mjuhb @ Mar 13 2007 - 03:15 PM) 826410451those were 20 minutes scrimmages let me repeat that 20 MINUTE SCRIMMAGES when shelbyville had the kids in that could finish they beat warren co 2-1 plus warren co and shelbyville had kids out
if coffee co wants to compete in AAA they need to dump MTCS, webb, white co(twice), cascade and sewanee so of course you'll be good because you don't play anybody
although i play for coffee co i agree with mj.. we do play lots of weak teams and i guess we'll just have to see if we can pull out the tough games like shelbyville and tullahoma and i hear columbia is good this year.. so i think it will be a good year and im looking forward to it.. and next year i hope that we do play a stronger schedule but one of the reasons that we have such a weak schedule is because last year we got a new coach who brought us out of a 1-15 season to something like a 10-5-1 season and his year we owe all of these teams another game to make it even from last year..

I played with this team for one season and loved it and now that we have disbanded i have nowhere to play this summer/ fall.. i was wondering if anyone knew of a good 90' travel team in middle TN besides TNFC..
-
I did see this play..i was playin defensive back at the time for shelbyville..the two players that u said saw it as a drop kick..remind urself of where they were at..which was BEHIND gordon..we did not high five each other after the play..i remember exactly what happened..we pulled the team to the center of the field away from the keeper..i believe u need to recount what actually happened before u decide to post comments that are supposed to make the shelbyville team look dirty..the only cheap shots that ever come from shelbyville were generally made in retaliation to the shots given by the other team..maybe you should step back and look at the actual situation before jumping to conclusions..the game is in the past..we will see you next year..
Im sorry cooke7 didnt mean for it to get ugly.. i think it needs to be said that no matter what happens in almost anything the two different sides will always see it differently.. no hard feelings on my part.. ya'll had a very good season and a good team and i definately look forward to playing ya'll next year..

there is the link for the picture of the play where gordon ruptured his spleen..now look and tell me gordon wasn't going for the ball and the keepers eyes were closed..anyone who can argue with that i'd like to see u at least try..that is just an agressive play on gordon's part which is all we ask of any player
ok i think i'm not gonna get on here and cry about what happened but if you're challenging me to argue whether or not he went for the ball then i will tell you this...he never touched the ball nor did he intend to. in the picture, there are two players right behind gordon. you can't see them because we cropped it for this site. their eye witness account was that what gordon did couldn't have been an accident. It was basically a two footed drop kick. if i had any doubt as to what his intention was, that doubt went away when i was told that gordon and his team mates were celebrating and high fiving each other after the play, even though there was NO score. What were they celebrating if it wasn't that they took the goalie out in the first ten seconds of the game? and isn't that what they tried to do in the Tullahoma game two nights later as well? i've also stood in the goal and whatched shelbyville deliver one sneaky cheap shot after another for two games this season. i know that soccer's a rough sport and you can get hurt. i know that accidents happen. I have no problem with that. But this was no accident. It was intentional. this is based on my experience as well as EVERYONE who saw it. Did you see it???

Just to inform you "hooligan" the would be MVP was the one who scored the goal that got called back do to a terrible call by the referee..that same would be MVP scored two goals in the first half to advance Shelbyville into the finals..and if i'm not mistaken the actual MVP couldn't even pull his team to the finals..i'd like to see a goal comparison to the two..then you can tell me that Andrew didn't deserve the MVP
I know this is not my argument to get into but having played against both andrew gordon and benj lance (the mvp) i would have to say that benj deserved the award much more than andrew gordon. I'm going to try to avoid saying anything on here that will get me in trouble but i have little respect for andrew gordon and the way that he plays however benj lance is BY FAR the most talented player and goal scorer in the district. i have nothing but bad things to say about gordon and nothing but good things to say about benj. and i would actually like to see how many goals that each of them scored. its easier to vote for a player you can respect. i doubt that any coach voted for andrew other than his own

It will be FC and Tull at 5 pm, then CC and Shelbyville 40 minutes after tht end of that game.
thanks. they should be good games. i look forward to watching one and playing in one

Coaches vote on it
thanks and one other thing. which game will be first tullahoma and franklin co. or coffee county and shelbyville?
-

all-district will be named tuesday between games
who decides who gets all-district and how many players are selected for each position?

I'll second that.. i play club ball with Wally in Nashville and he's easily one of the best players i've ever played with or played against.. he is a defender but he can do it all.. not to mention he was the fastest plaer on our team.. last i heard he was going to play somewhere in Kentucky?
I would be very suprised if he did not get All-State 1st team.
